I remember when I had Windows 7, PFA was super powerful even on low-end hardware. Then Windows 8/10 happened and.....it's over. It turned out it is a known issue that Windows 8 and later have severe lag on the Windows MIDI system by defualt, regardless if you even have OmniMIDI. Thankfully, OmniMIDI has a wrapper patch that can be installed on any app. I did it on PFA in late 2024 and all the lag ended finally! However, it doesn't really matter nowadays, because I rarely make huge midis anymore, focused more on kstyle now. This video is also before my 2024 return, so my blacking philosophy certainly changed over time.- Nica 2025
