I usually straighten my hair about once a year but have some tried and true products that work really well for my hair. My biggest piece of advice is to use a clarifying shampoo when going back curly to effectively remove any silicones and product buildup along your scalp and hair. Also, follow up with a deep conditioner and use heat for extra penetration. Do you think I have any heat damage? Heatless Curls on Straight Natural Hair || Chronicurls chronicurls 2017-12-10 | Hey y'all! One way to avoid heat damage on your natural hair is to AVOID CONTINUED use of heat tools on your already flat ironed hair. So to keep my hair with some curls I install bantu knots and allow my hair to set overnight. The biggest tip for making this style work is do not use too much product to set your hair and don't use water (this will cause your curls to revert back).
