(Laggy Mess) Killer Instinct - Typical Shadow Survival Run Full CutGruntzilla942026-09-20 | (Laggy Mess) Killer Instinct - Typical Shadow Survival Run Full CutPrimal Rage | Special Moves Demonstration for Version 2.3 and Version 2.3JGruntzilla942023-04-04 | In this video I demonstrate how special moves differ between Primal Rage Version 2.3 and Version 2.3J, in this demonstration I use Vertigo to showcase how moves are performed in Version 2.3 using the hold multiple button method, while in Version 2.3J I show both the new way and the remaining old way of performing the moves.
For some reason Version 2.3J removed some of the old moves, but kept a lot of them still intact, with Vertigo the removed moves for the old way are her Scorpion Sting and her eat a human move. I can understand the eat the human move being removed, since Version 2.3J added a universal eat human move for all characters, but why remove moves that don't get in the way of other newer moves, such as Vertigo's Scorpion Sting?
This video also acts as proof that the console versions of MAT2 does in fact use the Version 2.3J specials instead of the standard Version 2.3 ones. For some reason the PC version of MAT2 found in Midway Arcade Treasures Deluxe uses the Version 2.3 specials and not the Version 2.3J ones like the console versions.
I hope you enjoy the video!American Dad Vs Family Guy Kung Fu II - Peter Griffin Arcade ModeGruntzilla942023-04-02 | The best Street Fighter game Capcom has ever made!

The moves in this version actually mirror the MAT2 console versions (I played on the GameCube version back then), I was able to use all of Vertigo's Moves from this version in this playthrough, and unlike the MAT2 version specials can be performed during the Eat Stage. The biggest difference is the fully translated Japanese Language mode, in the original game the Japanese language changed only some text and left a lot of it in English, However this version contains a proper translation, everything that was in English in the original is now in Japanese. This even includes removing symbols such as the "No Cheese" symbol with text.
Since I haven't played with the simplified controls in a while on MAT2, I didn't perform the crazy combos I have been able to perform, this is due to how the game will sometimes not perform specials when a button is held (However, this could be a MAME issues, this game still has unemulated protection). Also the original moves have been completely removed from this version, this means for instance you cannot hold 2+3 and press forward forward to perform Scorpion Sting with Vertigo, you can only use Button 4 forward forward (This button can be held or pressed after the directional) in order to perform the move. The Eat move is also universal now, and is performed by holding all 4 buttons and pressing the DP motion (Forward, Down, Down-Forward) to perform it. Unlike MAT2 you can perform specials while in the Eat Mini game before the final battle. Also the game uses a separate start button as well, likely due to this being a version specifically for the Japanese market, therefore a different button is used for High Quick (usually High Fierce in the normal versions) because of this Low Fierce was pushed off to another button entirely (a 5th button), not sure if this version actually uses a 5 buttons so anyone with a real board of 2.3J should test it to see if this actually uses a 5 buttons or not.Primal Rage Hack Menu Demonstration (Download Link in the Description)Gruntzilla942022-10-09 | Hello everyone I have something exciting today! This is a Primal Rage 1 hack that adds a hack menu to the game. Remember that post I made saying I made a training mode? Well this is the same hack, I just decided to make it a lot more intuitive and user friendly to use. This hacks main focus is actual cabinets but it should work perfectly fine in MAME. You can use this hack to lab your favorite characters in the proper arcade version of Primal Rage without having to deal with 2 player mode in the actual game. This hack also gives the ability to open up the debug menu, so you can see collision boxes, change certain settings, and even see the sprite viewer built into the game! Be sure to checkout my video on the debug menu in case you haven't in order to see what you can do in the debug menu in Primal Rage.
This hack was a lot of fun to make and I would love to see what else can be added into the game, since this is only Version 1 of the hack menu, I will see what else can be done with it and how far it can go.
I hope you all enjoy the hack everyone! Also currently no one has tested the hack on real hardware, if you do please let me know and show me a video, I would love to see this hack in action on real hardware!
Debug Menu Video: youtu.be/WsU1L0rN-7IPrimal Rage Version 1.7 (Version 2.0) | Arcade Run 1CC on Difficulty 16 With VertigoGruntzilla942022-09-16 | **EPILEPSY WARNING: THE SCREEN FLASHES AFTER ALMOST EVERY COMBO I DO!**
Since no one seems to care about this version I decided to make a video of a complete Arcade Run of Primal Rage Version 1.7! Been wanting to make this video ever since I saw all of the differences in it compared to Version 2.3 and would like to have an Arcade run for this version. Now on the title you might be wondering why I have two versions listed. Well the reason for that is MAME considers this Version 2.0, but the game itself refers to itself as Version 1.7, you can actually see this on the title screen by holding Player 1 Up and Player 2 Down, this will show the version of the game in green text above the Primal Rage logo. So I am not even sure who is right in this situation the game itself or MAME so I put both versions in the title.
This version is difficult compared to 2.3 on 16 difficulty. In fact it plays completely different from Version 2.3 entirely. If you have played the Sega Genesis/Megadrive or 32X versions of Primal Rage then this will feel closer to that version instead. The AI especially is more heavy on counters to your moves, combos do not gradually lose power as it continues resulting in large damage combos, no hop jumping in single player as it is only available in multiplayer, block damage kills, etc. There are so many differences that if I wrote them all it would make this description incredibly long.
I hope you enjoy this 1CC arcade run I performed with Vertigo! There was a glitch with Diablo which only happens in Version 1.7 in which Diablo blocks everything for the entire time he is alive on the Final Battle that I believe was what let me win the final battle in this run with only 1 credit. If you have any questions please let me know/Primal Rage 2 - Arik Transitional Morph in Attract ModeGruntzilla942021-09-30 | You know how sometimes Kaze performs an ice spike from time to time on the attract mode of Primal Rage 2? Well this is the first time I have seen a transitional morph before. So, during a test of MAME4Rage2 I manged to see Arik do this in the attract mode and it is so fascinating that these were coded. However as GreenGeode showed in this video: youtu.be/OmbVLiF6CBk?t=165 the palette is messed up for Sauron as GreenGeode needed to reconstruct Sauron's Palette. Also seems that the placement is off but that's to be expected with an unfinished move. Quite interesting how the CPU during attract can perform these unfinished moves from time to time.Primal Rage - OK, I heard you Development Code Input DiscoveredGruntzilla942021-05-14 | (Notice: If you want to find some stuff that I have already found scroll all the way down on this description for a list of some stuff)
So in this video I show you all the development code in Primal Rage 1. This works in both Version 2.3 and Version 1.7 as I have tested them both in MAME, however I haven't tested on real hardware so be sure to check to see if it works on your board if you own a PR1. The player must on the left player hold up on the joystick and button 1 (HQ) and right player should hold up on the joystick afterward flip the test switch on the game to enter test mode. You will see the text "OK, I heard you" immediately let go of the held buttons in order to enter developer mode in the test menu otherwise if you hold it for too long it will show the normal test menu.
Changes: Sounds by Number and CAGE Error Log enabled under Sound Tests Mobs test enabled under Video Tests Adjust Volume now writes what the value of each bar is Controls Test shows the raw code for each of the controls Scope loops tests enabled Debug Options enabled Custom Test (Looping) and EEPROM Test enabled under Memory Tests
This code is nothing really big but it is definitely interesting as not even The Cutting Room Floor has this code.
Also I referenced TotalMK or TMK finding that MK1 code as well recently. Here's his video on that go check it out: youtube.com/watch?v=Qg2vR-Tls_8
Anyways the Mob Test controls are as follows: Left Player: Directions: Move Graphics coordinates Button 1 (HQ): Increase Mob Number in lower left hand corner (Seems to break things in MAME) Button 2 (HF): Go back to previous menu Button 3 (LQ): Decrease sprite one bit at a time Button 4 (LF): Doesn't seem to do anything
Right Player: Directions Up and Down: Change Size Scale of Sprite Directions Left and Right: Change image Button 1 (HQ): Skip 0x20 images forward Button 2 (HF): Skip 0x20 images backwards Button 3 (LQ): Increase sprite one bit at a time Button 4 (LF): Doesn't seem to do anything

Just a totally normal Primal Rage playthrough of the Amiga version. I don't like the way this version controls if I'm being honest. The Fire button needs to be held and whichever direction you press while holding it performs that normal. Button 2 if you use the 2 button configuration is held and used to perform special moves, some of which are the same as the PC DOS version like Vertigo's Scorpion Sting but these are just coincidences since all the other moves are different including finishers. On top of that this version is based on Version 1.7 of Primal Rage so it's missing combos, moves, and has other oddities, such as projectiles launching you into the air upon getting it (Which I never understood why Version 1.7 did this). Emulated via WinUAE set up as a Amiga A1200 for the game to run at the proper speed unlike other videos where the game runs too fast. Anyways I hope you enjoy.
This was just something odd I came up with and decided to make. I hope you enjoy this wacky little video. I will explain everything that is happening down here. First off AI1 stands for the second AI on the left AI0 is used. The timer on the right of it is unknown, maybe some kind of frame timer. DFP and DFC see the players/other characters state, are they in the air and attacking? Are they walking forward? this is told to the AI, ATM goes a bit further letting the AI know a lot more about what your character is doing for instance a hop jump is shown as tiger, and sometimes when I use scorpion sting it will show scorp in there as well. MVM goes further then ATM this time even going as far as telling the AI where the other character is, if they are close, mid range, or far away from the AI. MOV is for the AIs state, its so the AI knows what state it is in. The numbers after it I don't know what they mean or the significance of it. J at the very bottom is for the AIs joystick inputs. Notice when the AI does anything the inputs update and also look at when a special move is used, the AI will hold the appropriate virtual buttons and joystick inputs in order to perform the special move. Also notice that the AI mashes buttons and directions at the start of every match for some reason. Maybe it thinks the game is active and is trying to perform special moves? Anyways I played until the info glitched up so I have two fights where you can see this debug info in action. I hope you enjoy the video!Primal Rage an In Depth Look at the Debug MenuGruntzilla942019-12-22 | In this video I take an in depth look at the entire debug menu found in Primal Rage 1. This video shows everything and gives an explanation of what each item does. Some of the items do not work or look weird for some reason but other times look fine, like the AI Debug Info which looks fine sometimes and not fine other times, I couldn't get it too look alright when making this video so I will tell you what it's supposed to show on the bottom. It's supposed to show AI button presses, in Primal Rage the AI does the same button presses and motions as a player just inhumanly fast. I am sure this is how other fighting game AI's work but its really cool seeing the AI input the moves just like a normal person would, I might see if I can get a clean version of this debug info later. I hope you enjoy the video.
Primal Rage Buttons Key: HQ = High Quick = Button 1 HF = High Fierce = Button 2 LQ = Low Quick = Button 3 LF = Low Fierce = Button 4Primal Rage Version X.0 (Revision 0 Test Version) Attract ModeGruntzilla942019-11-28 | This is the Primal Rage Version X.0 attract mode. This is going to be what the attract mode runs like in this hack. What is not shown here and I will probably show later is the usage of the brand new button combo to force the "Team Rage X" credits screen which is done by pressing both High Fierce buttons (Button 2) on Player 1 and Player 2. This is my first time performing ASM hacks but I think I am getting a bit used to it. I will try to go even further in my hack and will try to make something more interesting like Mortal Kombat 2 Plus or something like that (MK2Plus is my inspiration working on this right now). Hopefully I can get do something great. Just to note, the Made by Gruntzilla94 in the gameplay demo will be changed to Made by Team Rage X but the website will remain.Primal Rage (プライマルレイジ) Japanese PS1 Version Vertigo Playthrough 16 DifficultyGruntzilla942019-10-13 | This is the Japanese PS1 version of Primal Rage. I really wanted to know if there where any difference between the US and Japanese versions since I heard there were differences in the controls and other gameplay changes. The game plays exactly the same, the round names are replaced with generic "Round 1" and so on, but this is normal for the Japanese arcade version of the game. However apparently Probe did one thing here in the Japanese version and no other version for the PS1, actual final battle music playing properly! Apparently only the Japanese PS1 version plays the final battle music properly no other version does this from what I can tell. Other then that many of the glitches still exist like in the other PS1 versions such as if you hit the opponent one more time in the middle of a combo on the final round after they lost all of their health your controls will lock up (This is why I was unable to perform finishers on Vertigo and Armadon and why I was very cautious when landing the final hit on the last winning round), etc. Played on difficulty 16 with Vertigo. Just because of the fact that Final Battle theme instead of just having silence like the other PS1 versions.Primal Rage Hacking: Red Blood in MAME (WIP)Gruntzilla942019-05-21 | So I decided to see what it takes to make the blood red in Primal Rage 1. Not much is really needed in order to change the blood into the red color. Just some hexadecimal modifications are needed and the blood can be turned red. This is still a work in progress so it probably doesn't look that good but hey its a start.Sonic Spinball Beta - Unfinished The Machine MusicGruntzilla942019-05-20 | I know this is a little different but please read on for more info. I found this music in the Sonic Spinball beta that's floating around, found it all the way back in 2015 just never uploaded it, until now. Anyways this is the Machine music that is unfinished explaining why it was never used. The cut in the song seems to be a part of this unfinished nature of the track. This does sound closer to the Machine in the final game unlike the track that was found a while back. I also cannot find any information about this song so I might be the first person to actually upload this song online. Anyways I hope you enjoy the track.Primal Rage New Palette Inserted into the ROMsGruntzilla942019-03-09 | So I have been wanting to do this for a while only now did I figure out how to do this. I knew how to change the palettes in the RAM but that will always reset every screen change. However I managed to figure out how to insert new palettes over existing ones in the games ROM files. Turns out all I needed to do was look at the addresses in the debugger that was being accessed in the assembly code to find where the palettes where stored in the game. Anyways this is a very crappy Diablo color I made by hand using hexadecimal in the RAM, copying it down into notepad, breaking it up for insertion into the 4 program ROMs and then finding where the Palette for Diablo Color 1 was in the ROMs and replacing them with the new color. It was quite time consuming and the palette came out really ugly but this is just to show that custom palettes can be put into the game through overwriting existing palettes.Primal Rage Version X.0 Vertigo Arcade Playthrough 1CCGruntzilla942019-03-07 | Sorry for lack of uploads will be doing some more uploads soon especially videos that I promised to make anyways read below for more info on this hack.
So I went digging into my old files and I found this hack from 2015 that I made. I wanted to create something similar to the SF2 hacks out there. I also wanted to make the gameplay end a lot quicker. This hack was never actually finished properly and didn't really change much from Version 2.3. I wanted to share this since there doesn't seem to be any hacks of the original Primal Rage so I decided why not share mine from a while back. I hope you at least find it a bit entertaining. Below is a list of changes in this hack:
Primal Rage Version X.0 Changes: 1.Changed Some Text 2.Changed Damage Modifier (Attacks will gradually do more damage) 3.Blocking is more Dangerous 4.Block Damage Now Kills 5.Humans Don't Die if Eaten and you have Low HealthKiller Instinct - Shadow Survivial HighlightsGruntzilla942018-12-29 | Well at least its better then the full video that's for sure. Anyways I just wanted to show KI some love and my less then powerful PC (its a laptop btw) showed just how weak it is when recording more modern games. Anyways enjoy.
CHANNEL UPDATE BELOW: Anyways I know I haven't been uploading and I am sorry for that. I got carried away with everything else going on in my life I neglected the channel and my audience as well and I am greatly sorry for that. To make matters worse I never really posted anything on Primal Rage 2 or even that tutorial for MAME4Rage2. I hope you can forgive me but it really is my fault for not only forgetting about the channel but also just not putting in the more time and care into the channel over the months. I want this to change. I want to upload more videos to the channel and hopefull live stream more as well. I love doing this but I just need to find out what times work out best for uploads. About Primal Rage 2, I am still working on it but work has not been making much progress. A new version with the auto resetting is in the works at the moment thanks to the MAMEDev team implementing the games watchdog which sees if the game is crashed or not and resets it. However the game is still quite bad at reads and its really making me go kind of crazy trying to figure it out. I believe it to be interrupt related but I don't really know anymore. I hope you can forgive me for the slow progress but on it too. Anyways onto something a bit better in some ways. I have created a Discord because I noticed something, almost everything has its own Discord however I have noticed there is no Discord for Primal Rage specifically so I made the Official Urth Rage Channel! Its meant as a Primal Rage Discord but it is also in a sense my own personal Discord as well as a general fighting game Discord. I really would like it if we could all join in and become a bigger community but of course like everything I do, it is not obligated to join. I will not force anyone to go to the Discord if they don't want to but if you do want to join I and the community there will welcome you. It is a brand new Discord Server and I am very new to creating and running my own server so please be patient with me while its still in its infancy. I hope to get those videos I promised out soon I never forgot about them just been, again, very busy with life stuff. For those reading through this whole thing thank you also before you post your comment if you read this then I would like for you to write down "159" at the start or end of the comment so I know who took the time to read this. I really do thank you if you did read this and it shows to me that you care in some way about me and the channel. Anyways I hope you all have a fantastic day and I hope to get those videos I promised out soon just please be patient with me.
Discord: discord.gg/jenTWRJPrimal Rage 2 Ignored Reads Error HelpGruntzilla942018-05-02 | I need some help with this one. I need to know what exactly the error that I show in the video means and what I can do to fix it. I also believe this is whats causing all of the read errors such as odd sound effects playing over what is supposed to play and even what may be causing the crash on the 2 Player Conquered Lands screen.
Like I said in the video if you know more about what this error means then I do let me know since this could be what will make Primal Rage 2 run properly.Primal Rage 2 Small Demonstration of the First Sprites Being Loaded Through RAMGruntzilla942018-04-01 | Well video is interesting because we have always heard about how Primal Rage 2 loads the first couple of frames from RAM first before streaming the rest off of the hard drive however we have never seen what sprites I loaded in first before, until now.
Using my brute force code I can cause the hard drive to stop spinning in game and allow us to finally see the sprites that get loaded into RAM first before the rest are streamed off the HDD. I hope you enjoy this demonstration of this technique being seen properly for the first time.Primal Rage 1: Unused Sauron AnimationGruntzilla942018-03-30 | In this video I am showing some unused Sauron Sprites found in Version 1.7 (For some reason called version 2.0 in MAME) of Primal Rage. The animations appears in the making of/trailer for Primal Rage at the end but has been put into the game with some extra sprites at the end depicting Sauron grabbing a box with wires coming out of it in his mouth. Until a proper palette is found we may never know what this thing is that Sauron is grabbing.
Big thanks to TCRF for explaining how to get the debug menu to work in Primal Rage although it was for V2.3 I made my own code to get it to work with V1.7. Check out the TCRF Primal Rage page for more cool stuff: tcrf.net/Primal_Rage_(Arcade)MAME4Rage2 Version 0.4 Gameplay and Release (Check Description)Gruntzilla942018-03-13 | MAME4Rage2 has released and this video shows how the gameplay works. Check out the link to Urth Rage below to download this new version!
This video is not long gameplay it just shows how the loading works in this new version of MAME4Rage2. NOTE: 2 Player mode still doesn't load properly this is due to the game ignoring hard drive reads.
Download: urthrage.weebly.com/mame4rage2.htmlMAME4Rage2 Version 0.4 Attract Mode Demonstration (Read Description for More Info)Gruntzilla942018-03-11 | Alright I am back and I am about to get a new version of MAME4Rage2 ready. Anyways about my absence I am sorry that I took such a long hiatus however I am back and ready to take another look at making the emulation in MAME4Rage2 better. Anyways this version as demonstrated here fixes some issues with the loading and therefore the attract mode is now running much better in fact I had left the attract mode running over night once and it kept going for close to 11 hours! So this new version will be perfect for those who want to have a cabinet just running Primal Rage 2 in attract mode. While loading is better than version 0.3 there is still loading issues for 2 player mode, which seems to be coming from ignored HDD reads in MAME. I will try my best to take a look at it and see just what can be done. Anyways this new version will be coming soon.
If anyone wants to know where MAME4Rage2 Version 0.3 crashes it always crashes when it reaches the screen shown at 5:15 just in case anyone is wondering.Lost Game: Jurassic Park III 3D Adventure First Level (The Beach)Gruntzilla942017-08-06 | This video is of a game that was removed from the internet around 2008-2010 around the same time the website for this game jp3.jurassicpark.com was shutdown by universal. So this is the first time in around 15 years that this game was played again. Anyways this is a video showing off what the game looks like since there is only one other video on this game and that video was made as a teaser for people who couldn't see the game or for those who wanted to see it before playing it.
The game itself is very interesting, the game was made using the Wildtangent Web Driver engine which uses however the game seems very buggy. In fact the doors to the hallway that contains the camera only seems to open whenever it feels like as well. Which I didn't feel like wandering to each door to see which would open so I just went out of bounds. In fact there are no bounds, only the walls and some small invisible walls here and there but for the most part you can just wander off screen and into the void whenever you feel like.
This game sadly doesn't work in a virtual machine and therefore I couldn't get a clean capture and the PC I am using has no video out capabilities and is actually below the specs needed for the game which is why it runs so slowly. The game is also missing many of the files that makes it work properly so it will crash many times if you try to go to the next level or if you get mauled by a dinosaur. The files I know I am missing because they are not archived by the wayback machine is the fourth level known as the Compound, I am missing some information text images such as one for the Spinosaurus which makes the Jungle, a level that I do have, not load. I am also missing pretty much every file for the compound as well so I cannot make a complete playthrough unless someone out there has all of he files for this game (Which is highly unlikely) I cannot go farther then the Gorge. This game was taken from the Wayback machine downloading the entire website one file at a time and requires an old machine preferably a machine running Windows 98.Primal Rage 2 Diablo PlaythroughGruntzilla942017-07-07 | This is my arcade playthrough with Diablo on the hardest difficulty.
Diablo in Primal Rage 1 was a great zoning character and in 2 he hasn't changed from the amazing zoning that Diablo can do. Diablo is actually one of the 2 original Dino-Gods to retain all of his previous moves from PR1 but changing up how one works. The one move that was changed was torch which is now Diablo's grab and no longer causes a temp stun like the first game. Diablo's Inferno Flash is actually more usable then Vertigo's teleport in this game since it seems to move a bit faster and Diablo still has the hit box that it had in the first game which helps somewhat against the opponent. Diablo is the most unfinished of the 16 normal playable characters and doesn't have a conquered animation and therfore turns really small when he is supposed to show his large and fully detailed sprite for the zoom in when he conquers. Other then that Diablo for the most part feels the same to me as he did in Primal Rage 1. Sadly no finishers exist for him in this build and he has an unfinished suicide which makes him look dissapointed.Primal Rage 2 Vertigo PlaythroughGruntzilla942017-06-25 | This is my Playthrough with Vertigo on the hardest difficulty. Also for those who are not noticing before I go to the Avatars I am going to finish all of the Dino Gods first. Then move to the Avatars.
Vertigo still remains my main in this game just like PR1. Vertigo hasn't changed much in PR2 other then some differences. One of these is the fact that Vertigo sadly doesn't have Voodoo Spell anymore which does prove very useful in certain situations. Also her Come Slither now drags in blocking opponents making it extremely dangerous against turtling opponents. Also her teleport is the worst in this build. I'm sure in later builds this was fixed to make it more like PR1. Anyways Vertigo is still very fun to play as just like she is in PR1 which is why she will remain my main both in PR1 and PR2.Primal Rage 2 Talon PlaythroughGruntzilla942017-05-17 | This is a 1CC run of Primal Rage 2 with Talon on the hardest difficulty. Talon seems to be a fan favorite for many Primal Rage 2 players as it seems many play him. I can't really argue though mostly because Talon is just so good in this game even if he is broken. Talon's slide has been nicknamed "The Slide of Death" (I believe Pete said it in the first PR2 stream?) since it is the farthest and fastest moving normal in the game which can go full screen and if you cannot anticipate it being used then you will not be able to block it easily. Talon overall is actually a great beginner character especially if you know what he can do, being so easy to use he is definitely going to probably be a first for many. Too bad he lost his frantic fury even though the animation is used for his shredder extinction.
Also just a side note I was very suprised Slashfang didn't kill me in the second round I mean I for sure thought he was going to Rage Morph which is always the CPUs reaction to a pounce attack.Primal Rage 2 Necrosan PlaythroughGruntzilla942017-05-06 | I actually wanted to make this my first playthrough but my old laptop died completely before I could take out some of my notes. So I actually went digging and found I still have an older version of my notes so I used that. Anyways enjoy this playthrough of the final boss Necrosan! I actually wanted to keep Necrosan until I finish the other 16 characters arcade playthroughs but I got bored and I decided to do it now. This was played on the hardest difficulty like my other videos. I hope you enjoy, other playthroughs coming soon.
Here are some facts, Necrosan is the glitchiest character in the entire game he has so many problems. First of all his flying as you can see in this playthrough is completely broken allowing you to fly passed the boundaries of the screen. Both Shock Throw and Life Suck Throw are glitchy too, if performed under certain circumstances it will cause the entire game engine to crash only leaving the hud remaining. However whats odd is that he has an extinction while other characters don't even have one (for instance Sinjin) and a suicide. Necrosan is disabled in the game code making it impossible to play as him without hacking, but if the game was released he would be playable through a code. Also Chris Tang or any other developers if you are watching this and see this description whats the significance of "Necroanus"? I would like to know the story behind that name. (Also I beat Pete's score in this run but because I didn't do it with a normal character or at the Galloping Ghost Arcade I don't see this as a world record run at all.)Primal Rage 2 Slashfang PlaythroughGruntzilla942017-05-01 | Here is my Arcade Run with Slashfang. Like all my other playthroughs this is on the highest difficulty. Heres an interesting fun fact Slashfang is the only Dino God in the game to have his ending actually show. Since the other characters do not have ending pictures except for Chaos who does have an image and ending written but it goes unused. While Talon and Diablo have no written endings in the rom. I hope you enjoy, more playthroughs coming soon.Primal Rage 2 Blizzard PlaythroughGruntzilla942017-04-21 | Here is a playthrough with Blizzard. In this game Blizzard is much easier to use and he has his Ice Geyser changed so that it isn't as useless as it was in the first game since many times it made you wide open more so then help you. Anyways I hope you enjoy this game play, more to come soon.Primal Rage 2 Sauron PlaythroughGruntzilla942017-04-16 | Just a run through with Sauron seeing how well I can play with a Sega Saturn Controller by RetroBit especially since I always play this game with keyboard and reversed buttons with 4,5,6 on top and 1,2,3 on bottom. I played this on the hardest difficulty this game has. Hope you enjoy.MAME4RAGE2 Version 0.3 Demonstration + Download (In description)Gruntzilla942017-02-12 | The reason for using my phone: I use my phone instead of OBS because I cannot run OBS on my laptop anymore since the processor runs really hot and performs a thermal shutdown. Since this can potentially harm my hard drive I decided to just use my phone.
This is it, sort of. This is MAME4RAGE2 the emulator that runs Primal Rage 2!. I am still working on the emulation but due to the votes on the Strawpoll I had on my earlier video I decided to upload it for you all to enjoy. I also have a full moves list for all the characters so be sure to go to Urthrage's Primal Rage 2 section select your character and read up on the moves they have and how to do them!
Communication Poll: http://www.strawpoll.me/12314004MAME (Brute Forced Interrupt) - Primal Rage 2 Attract ModeGruntzilla942016-03-02 | I made this to show what the attract mode actually looks like when the game works and to show how smoothly the game loads. The reason the game seems to run perfectly is because I used MNG and WAV write on the game to make it run at the full emulation speed and just show how the game will look, sound and load after the emulation finishes.(MAME MNG) Primal Rage 2 (Still Brute-Forced) - 1 Match With VertigoGruntzilla942016-03-02 | This is how fast the game loads when I use MNG and WAV Write to make to make a video that doesn't pick up my pausing in order to find the correct area to brute-force although I still did that in this video, this just shows that the game loads in 1 second for every load. Some info on Primal Rage 2 Progress (Includes Surprise)Gruntzilla942016-01-17 | This is some info on Primal Rage 2 that I have to say. Also if you are reading this first WOOT! GAMEPLAY DEMOS! No I am not lying these are real Savestates that will take you right to the game!
Be sure to read the readme for information as I will not be answering anything on the readme in the comments the only exception is if it didn't make sense. This is especially for the people waiting since 2013 to play this game so these demos will be able to help show you what you have missed. I am being very kind for doing this and I really want you guys to enjoy this game (I am not working on this game only for myself but for the entire Primal Rage and Fighting Game Community). Please enjoy these Gameplay Demo's while I continue my work on the Emulation (I might ask the MAMEDEV for help on finding interrupts since I am quite stumped) Anyways I have written enough information please enjoy.
Primal Rage 2 three Gameplay Demos Download: http://urthrage.weebly.com/downloads.htmlWhy Primal Rage 2 Doesnt Work In MAMEGruntzilla942015-12-06 | This is the reason I found why Primal Rage 2 doesn't work. I would like to know something, who came up with the encryption talk? Also if there is encryption I need proof as to what this encryption is doing if no explanation for the encryption is given I will still see this as an issue with the interrupts (Since fixing the interrupts seems to be working out nicely for fixing this game) The last part I mentioned seems to be extremely hard to work with since at the moment brute forcing is showing me that the game is doing some weird stuff which needs to be addressed.Primal Rage 2 Brute Forcing an AI MatchGruntzilla942015-10-16 | This proves more so of what the last video showed. I managed to force the game to load the AI and collision boxes, again the lag is unknown where it is coming from and it hindered my game play during recording.Primal Rage 2 Brute Forcing the Sound and Collision BoxesGruntzilla942015-10-16 | This is what happens when you brute force the sound and collision boxes to Primal Rage 2, it is definitely a Hard Drive Issue.
Sorry for the slow video I don't know why it was slow, probably all the memory windows I opened in MAME.Primal Rage 2 Urth Animation (Ripped by Me through MAME)Gruntzilla942015-09-25 | Notice: This video was originally made in 2014 I just forgot to make it public.
This is the Small animation of the Urth in Primal Rage 2. This shows the Urth Turning over from Neo Urth, to Old Urth Closed, and finally to Old Urth Open.
These where all ripped by me by file swapping the file attragraph.out with domgraph.outPrimal Rage 2 Small Extinction/Fatality Compilation (No Sound Effects)Gruntzilla942015-09-25 | Just a small extinction/fatality compilation I made of all the ones that I could find. Its more or less exactly the same as the one the Galloping Ghost put up except it's through MAME.Primal Rage 2 Necrosans Extinction (No Sound Effects)Gruntzilla942015-09-19 | This is the first Extinction I found with Necrosan and it is pretty sweet! I love the death effect! Should I find more extinctions?Sol-Deace GameplayGruntzilla942015-08-20 | Hey guys I know I haven't done a video in a while but this isn't Primal Rage 1 or 2 related. I haven't found anything good in Primal Rage 2 yet so please bear with me!
This is a fun shooter known as Sol-Deace for the Sega Genesis. I wanted to share it for a bit but I did get a little far in it. Anyways this is the game that made me enjoy Shooters or shmups back in the day and it still is an awesome game. Who knows maybe I will record myself beating the game. Also an FYI for people not in the US or Canada this game is called Sol-Feace on the Sega CD and Mega CD as Sol-Deace is a Genesis exclusive, meaning it was only released in North America.
As usual with all my Genesis games I recorded this from a real Sega Genesis with a real cartridge.Primal Rage 2 Intro (No Text and True Speed)Gruntzilla942015-01-02 | This is the same Intro I uploaded back in 2013 however its running at the true speed and no text!Primal Rage 2 - What else is on the HDD? (Includes Theories)Gruntzilla942014-12-31 | Primal Rage 2 is not alone on its Hard Drive Disk or HDD. Tell me what you think!
KLOV Forum Thread (Second Comment): http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=315445&page=1Primal Rage 2 Reproduction Marquee (WIP)Gruntzilla942014-10-01 | Just a little reproduction marquee I'm making for Primal Rage 2 since it doesn't have a very nice marquee online. I'm still working on it so that it looks perfect, unless it looks perfect already (however I'm sure their are still more things to finish up in with it.)Proof Primal Rage 2 Has a Hard Drive Emulation Problem (Video Relies on Annotations)Gruntzilla942014-09-05 | People may ask why Primal Rage 2 doesn't like loading itself especially with sound effects on the character select screen well the problem is one thing ..... The Hard Drive Emulation is OFF! Thats right the hard drive is just one problem that Primal Rage 2 has in MAME which causes the sound effects not to load, why? This is because MAME always seems to skip over valuable data that load the sound effects however if a certain hard drive parameter is deleted to not function it causes Primal Rage 2 to read the hard drive correctly however it takes a lot longer to load the sound effects than it does on a real ZN1 board but still its amazing that this confirms one of Primal Rage 2's problems.Primal Rage 2 Tors Crystal Place Round 1 MusicGruntzilla942014-08-30 | The following music was ripped directly from the hard drive so this is exactly how the song is supposed to play.
