After a few conversation with my brothers of Christmas, Tenacious D was stuck on the top of my mind as I pondered what to build. So after a quick search I settled on making the Pick of Destiny from the movie they did back in 2006. Making an Ice Scream Cone out of EVA foam Much Props 2023-08-25 | The heat has become a bit rediculous in my part of Texas, with temperatures over 100 degrees for over 2 months now. As I was thinking of ways to cool down, I thought it would be fun to monsterize an inanimate object like I do from time to time. So for this monsterification I decided to make a two faced ice cream cone, one face screaming as it melts in the heat and the other happy and adorable. My older brother bought me an actual cel from the late 1980s cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And rather than gather dust on a shelf or tuck it away in a cabinet, I wanted to give it a proper display case. So for this build I made a retro tv to house my epic TMNT memorabilia. Making a Mimic Much Props 2023-03-11 | Be careful what you touch when roaming a dark dungeon, castle, or unknown area. That unsuspecting crate may just turn out to be a mimic looking for a snack. This week I took some scrap foam and made my very own box crate mimic. For this build I used: 24 mm, 10 mm, 8 mm, 6 mm, and 4 mm EVA foam, clay foam, plastic Jacko lantern fangs, plastic hand, sheer black fabric, LED lights with battery pack, elastic banding, 5 minute Epoxy, hot glue, contact cement, super glue, Plasti Dip, spray paint, and some Plaid FX acrylic paints. Making a Custom Rubiks Cube Much Props 2023-03-04 | In season 4, episode 5 (I think), of The Last Man on Earth, this custom Rubik's Cube makes a short appearance. It only has a couple of seconds of screen time but I liked how it looked so I decided to make it, paying homage to it and whoever made it. For this build I used: 1 standard Rubik's Cube, 1/8 inch plywood, super glue, baby powder, and acrylic paint pens. Foam Crafting a Beaked Skull Mask Much Props 2023-02-18 | With the release of Hogwarts Legacy last week I thought it would be fun to make a mask from the game. I found this cool little masquerade style mask called the Beaked Skull Mask that should be fun to do. Making a Viking Scramasax Much Props 2023-02-11 | How do you hide your battery for your electronics? Have you ever thought about hiding you components is a separate weapon? In this video I made a Viking dagger, called a scramasax, to house my battery and chipset.
