Shoulder and Elbow Pain from Low Bar Squats Basement Brandon 2022-08-31 | Many people experience shoulder and elbow pain when switching to low bar for squatting.While high bar placement should be on the traps, low bar should be on the rear delts.Most people tend to use the same grip width despite switching bar position. High bar placement does not require as much mobility to get into position, however low bar is more demanding and by keeping your standard grip you may be exposing mobility issues.A simple fix for this is to widen your grip just enough to allow you to get into a more optimal position. Best Trap Movement - Exercise Shorts Basement Brandon 2022-07-06 | I don't train traps often, but when I do, it's always behind the back shrugs! I find this puts the barbell in the best spot to avoid hitting your junk and for a more ideal ROM (up and down). I like to go double overhand on these to really work my forearms and grip as well, which has helped a ton with grip strength for deadlifts.
