BANG! Cancelled Gunslinger MAP Part Studio Maverick Art 2023-11-12 | BANG! A MAP part for the lovely @madamejelly , featuring my OC Samsara and @Talia8pie 's OC Bean. I worked on this for a chunk of 2022, and it's still one of my favorite animations, it has quite a sense of weight. I was originally waiting for Tali to finish their sections for us to post it, but now that the MAP had been disbanded I can share it now :DThe premise of this MAP was ambitious and really fun - an OC MAP with a comic book look, featuring two people per part with their OCs fighting with projectiles. The parts during the verses were meant to be standoffs, and the parts during the refrains were shootouts - this was a standoff. For clarity, since I used a significant chunk of this song in the editing, our part was "so I got an apartment across from the bar; put quinoa in my fridge, still I'm not feeling grown" (so the first showing of the full part is correctly aligned). I'm sad this didn't end up happening, but it was still a great experience. Zephaeratam - Critical Role Fan Animation Studio Maverick Art 2023-09-30 | I love Orym Air Ashari guysFinally finished this project from a few months ago! Orym's little workout ballet, one of my favorite things Liam would describe him doing early campaign. I would've added more poses, as I personally believe the Zeph'aeratam is far more intricate than this, but it was for a class and I didn't want to overdo it. I have had the animation finished since like June, but I was very dissatisfied with the appearance of the background and the composite. I went back in recently with an actual reference of Zephrah (by Kent Davis, beautiful piece), and made significant strides as compared to the first pass. Better background, avoided the complex camera movement that didn't add to the effect, and gave it some more pizzaz. Wisdom Part 13 - WOF Carnelian MAP Studio Maverick Art 2023-05-30 | Wisdom part 13 for @quetzalii ! This part features Carnelian and a couple OCs. Carnelian leaves her room and sees other dragons being friends, and tears up and keeps going to class. This is what ends up distracting her enough that she doesn't listen to Moon's warnings and tragically dies. I think it's amazing how similar of a part I did a long while back featuring Sora. You can see it if you scroll a while. The amount I've improved with the deep breath-crying scene is kinda shocking to me hah. This part was interesting to make because of its variable frame rates. I have recently been going fully for 12fps animations, but in this part shot 1 is at 8, shot 2 is at 6fps for Carnelian and 12fps for the other dragons, and 12fps for shot 3. The Rusty-Patched Bumblebee Studio Maverick Art 2023-02-13 | I made this piece back in November for a final project for my entomology class. While I was forced to rush a lot and you can hear it in my voice and in the varying animation quality (the script was originally closer to 1:45), I am still really proud of the outcome. I actually don't know my grade on this lol courses ended before I checkedI really do love bumblebees and I have a special place in my heart now for these little guys. I want to see more of them please report them if you happen to spot one! They are easily confused for other bumblebees especially b. Mixtus and the belted bumblebees, and it doesn't help that a photo commonly cited as a male of the species is an atypical specimen. For this piece I pulled my info from all the sources cited at the end. I hope that everything is correct, I may make mistakes (the number of states part especially I had to rerecord multiple times how do I get that wrong) so I will correct them here if I find them. Finally found the character and the motivation to do it and it has been 13 hours since I started and it's done! The premise behind this is that the little green dragon, Timber, thinks very highly of his tribe's animus, Cave, and adores him and wants to be an animus himself. He has a bad dream featuring the dark blue dragon, Stalagmite. Looking him up, Tim realizes he's a gone-bad animus who Cave, the rams-horn dragon, had to kill. Timber is now distrustful of Cave and animus power as a whole and it plagues him. WDYKAL Part 10 WOF Animation (Done!) Studio Maverick Art 2020-06-09 | Done! Done done done! And nicely exported, with a replay for ya! Unfortunately, the final scene was such a complex png that they wouldn't upload into my converter, so that's why the background is a little pixelated--had to compress that part of the file. I stole the background concept and the pose of the first scene from Amiribi (with permission), go and check their part out. Unfortunately, my video editor decided to make Turtle a little blue, and of course I don't find small mistakes, like the lack of shade in one of Peril's eyes and the fact I found coloring her teeth unnecessary in two frames, until I'm done--those will be fixed when KareKareDragon releases the finished MAP lol. This was a long time in coming, but I really like how it turned out. SEND THEM OFF! - School Project Studio Maverick Art 2020-01-23 | **Flashing Images**Exorcise my mind!!Animation created for my school animal project with one of my favorite songs ever, "Send Them Off!" by BΔSTILLE! It got very close there for a moment with whether or not I'd finish, but it's done! I'm very proud of my work, especially since this is my first full animation. It was done entirely in FireAlpaca, so the 'tweening' motions are done frame by frame by me. This is something I'd love to explore further in the future, but for now I'm putting down my pen and enjoying what I made.
