I cannot believe that this project is actually done, sitting in front of my eyes for all of you to watch. Lone Digger was my first ever MAP experience, and has thus taught me many things. I sorely underestimated just how much effort it would take to create this video, but after nearly a year and a half of work, it’s done and an era of my life is over. WoF Halloween Mapathon Parts (Coffee & Foliage Fallout: Pulse) Kaliido_scope 2022-11-02 | Am I late for Halloween? Yes. Do I care? No, and this time I get to link the finished maps in the description. Anyway I was absolutely gone during October because I was busy with map parts and more importantly, busy getting my ass back into shape working on school. Do your school kids, it’s important. So I have 2 parts this time, and I definitely preferred doing Coffee more than FF:P. Coffee was a secret map so it felt cooler doing it and I had a lot of fun getting to work on it, as it was a mix of really easy stuff and experimental, which I ended up being very proud of the result. It’s very satisfying getting to look at my editing now compared to when I could barely do anything and was messing around with programs trying to see what worked. For Foliage Fallout I ended up taking three parts and that ended up being three seconds long lmfao. Despite it being so short I kinda struggled with motivation, which bit me in the ass when I got my iPad taken (again, school), and had to run to the server to see if anyone could complete all the missing assets and backgrounds before I went to bed so I could edit the parts together and finish them. That was hell, and despite getting tons of help I still had to wait a while so I was up at like 12:45!! When I should’ve been in bed! Still, I’m very grateful to Angel, Wolf and Black for helping me finish that part. It’s done.I have been working my absolute ass off on this project for an entire month. Originally this was a project I had started but then never finished almost a year ago. After a long while I was interested in picking it back up again, and King of the Monsters’ 3 year anniversary just so happened to be a little over a month away. So I worked on this passion project, hoping I would be able to get it done by the deadline, and y’know what, I fucking did it. Oh these silly little monster moviesWatching King of the Monsters in august of last year was what absolutely shot me into my hyperfixation, so I definitely owe it that. Even if the movie has flaws, it shines in practically every monster related aspect, it’s a movie you can tell was made by and for fans and I can respect that. Godzilla fandom is pretty enjoyable for what it is (ignoring the constant infighting LMFAO), and a lot of artists are big inspirations for me. Plus I love drawing these kaiju and making hcs for them. 2021 Animation Reel Kaliido_scope 2021-12-21 | And the year’s over! Overall, I’m very happy with how I’ve grown in my art, and I’m so very grateful that I’ve been able to come so far. JAWS! Part 34 Kaliido_scope 2021-12-17 | Jaws 2 electric boogalooBack with another Jaws part! So originally, my buddy Krow had the part, and because I had a very specific idea for this part when making the map, I sketched it out for them so it would be easier to translate. They ended up having to drop and I still had the sketch, which I had a lot of fun on, so this worked out nicely! As already said this was super fun to work on. I think Jaws is just a natural serotonin boost. The impact frames were something I was extremely excited about, since I wanted the animation to be more anime-esque with the movements and such. Overall this part was such a fun experience! I loved getting to animate over Blu’s amazing sketch and also just to animate edgy pokemon of all things, like, this was SUCH a comfort project just so goddamn fun just have ur brain turn off and animate Umbreon kill people. Espeon was also there who’s my favourite so I had fun getting to animate my girl.
