What I love about this design is that after just 4 - 6 rows, you can measure the width and will know right off the bat if it will be the height you want for your ear warmer. Now, I'm showing it on my afghan, but this works on the side edge of any project.🧡When working into single crochet (US SC) rows, you work one stitch per row edge.🧡Work as closely to the edge as possible. You don't want to work in between stitches as it will create gaps along the sides. On my second stitch, you'll see me working into the center of that stitch. 🧡There are two types of stitches you'll see: one that looks like a hole (the first one I worked into), and one that looks like a stitch with the same v-shape. When you work into these stitches, you pick up two loops on your hook (even the one that looks like a hole - it's just a tighter stitch so harder to see). You want a hook small enough to comfortably fit through your stitches with a deep enough throat to easily grab your yarn. Pull your favorite weight yarn and yarn colors from your stash to create a field of flowers in whatever project you choose to do. From sewing thread all the way up to jumbo weight yarn, there are endless possibilities!There are two versions of this flower. One version has a half double crochet center, and the other version has a double crochet center. Depending on the project you'll make with the flower, you may want to use double crochets for a slightly larger size, such as with coasters where you want a little more room for your mug, but my favorite is the half double crochet version because I think the proportions are a little bit better - completely up to you!Some ideas for this flower: - Make several and string up to make a garland for wall decor, mantel, entryway table, etc, or hang as an ornament. I'll show you how to crochet a flower and then turn it into a granny square with this tutorial. I make all of my pillows envelope style so I can easily change them out, store them and wash them.I crochet a top layer and two back panels, and then crochet the layers together from the front side.✨️ To seam up a crocheted pillow with single crochet:🤎 Lay the top back panel down wrong side facing up, then lay the front panel down with the wrong side facing down so both wrong sides are together.🤎 Insert your hook into the next stitch on your top layer as normal, then insert your hook into the corresponding stitch on the back panel, and finally complete your single crochet as usual (ie, yarn over, pull through, yarn over and pull through both loops).🤎 Continue working all the way across the row to the corner. How to Crochet a Bobble 💚 | EyeLoveKnots Yarn Crafts | EyeLoveKnots | Cre8tion Crochet 2025-02-03 | I love the amazing texture of bobble stitches 😍It's fun to work in one solid color or to change colors for the bobbles to pop even more, and great to use in any project where you want a slightly thicker fabric and loads of texture.This is how I like to work mine -- work a chain that is a multiple of 4 + 5 + 1 – that means a number that is evenly divisible by 4 like 8, 12, 16 etc plus 5, respectively that would be, 13, 17, 21, etc plus 1.I’ve done this stitch multiple to equal 3 single crochet stitches in between bobble stitches, but if you would like to adjust this, keep the number of single crochets as an odd number so the bobble is evenly staggered in the center. The 5 equals 2 single crochets on both ends and 1 bobble so if you adjust the center count, you may want to also add extra stitches on the ends to match.Bobble stitches are worked from the wrong side, or back side, of the project, but will pop out on the right side, or front side. Slip Stitching Two Layers Together | EyeLoveKnots | Cre8tion Crochet Yarn Crafts | EyeLoveKnots | Cre8tion Crochet 2025-01-25 | When it comes to joining panels and closing up the sides of projects, one way I like to do this is by slip stitching the layers together, especially if it's a top and I want to try it on as I go. Sometimes I change the seam out later to something like a mattress stitch, and sometimes, I just leave it as a slip stitch seam - just depends on the look I'm going for. It does add a little bit of bulk, but usually doesn't bother me.When it comes to slip stitching layers together, you'll line up your stitches so they match each other - you can use stitch markers to "pin" the fabric in place. As you work, you insert your crochet hook into the next stitch of the top layer as well as into the corresponding stitch of the next layer (and the next layer if it's 3 layers).
