This was a fun video to make, tried to do bosses as fast as possible while not tanking damage. Parrying is very very powerful, it does lots of damage, does poise damage, restores pulse, and restores mana. Reflecting projectiles is also almost always the best option when possible since they do more damage than any of your normal attacks.
The order the bosses show up in the video is the order I fought them in this run. I did Sen 4th (kind of early) because she holds the treasure sense and I wanted that right away to get all of the game's items to use on the other bosses. All bosses past Alstroemeria 1 were done with Offensive Stance + Defensive Stance.
Had fun figuring out how to remake the instruments in this song. That one bell-ish part really has a lot of chorus on it.

Normally Life Jam Guy will just "explain the benefits of life jam" for 3 turns, giving you an opportunity to heal up in the middle of the Boss Rush. But if you try to attack him normally he takes either 0 or 2 damage, making it impossible to kill him with normal attacks, probably.
Interesting to see that he drops 3 life jams if you do kill him though.
Original song "Home For Flowers" is from OMORI.
Also credit to Polar, who came up with the idea for this skip.

Pxtone web is neat for visualizing songs. It stutters sometimes, but I'm recording it on a laptop I guess.
Anyways I kind of have a love/hate relationship with this game, but I do like this song (and its music in general).
Song was made in pxtone. If someone requests it I'll put up some download links or something.

I dropped the RTA splits since I think for this kind of run it's more important for me to regain focus in between the boss fights. New strat for Mark Scythe is about 2 seconds slower, and new strat for General Tanooki is also 2 seconds slower (unless I get really lucky, which didn't happen in this video).
I opted not to do the 2nd frog skip in the east since I got the first frog skip on my first try, which cost me 15-20 seconds (depending on how fast I would've gotten 2nd frog skip). I also lost a bit of time on the one map transition skip in the south to get to the tower.
Much better run than last time. 3 deaths to 3 bosses, but the deaths were relatively early into the fights.
New skips in the South save about a minute and a half, which is where almost all of the time save in this run comes from in comparison to my last. It was a very solid run, no major mistakes. I think it might be slightly faster to get the bullet baker modules instead of the archer modules, but I cannot get the pink door clip consistent on the 2nd bullet baker module, so I would probably lose time to that if I went for that route.
New strats for the bullet baker split (rocket man) means that we can easily save over a minute on that split. They patched the old method for quick killing Mark scythe, but I found a new way that kills him quickly (I missed it twice in this video, maybe just bad RNG?). I was aiming for sub32 but somehow hit the minute on the mark again.
Also I did some splits out of order near the end (did archer before rocket man), so my sum of best is wrong (it's more like 30:33). But doing them in that order doesn't cost any time at least.
Lost a bit of time in the east and west (west was mostly due to missing shotgun blasts on big crystals). Also lost a couple of seconds to sloppiness in the Judgement fight. But overall, not a bad run.
"Naked" boss rush mode is a bit harder than the regular boss rush mode, since you only have your pistol and your sword (and no upgrades). But it's not too hard as long as you keep your spacing right, so it really just becomes a matter of how well you can pistol plink. My "real time" was 6:05.99, but I'm more concerned about the in-game time in this kind of speedrun.
Heart Machine just released a new beta patch recently that runs at 60fps and comes with a new boss rush mode. This is my best time in the "everything unlocked" mode. My "Real Time" time for the run is 4:35, but the In Game Time (what the game tracks) is 3:44.422
EDIT: Some strats in this video were patched out (greybeard is harder to do, can't move during scythe man's cutscene) so this time is obsoleted as far as leaderboard rankings go.
Heart Machine just released a new beta patch recently that runs at 60fps and comes with a new boss rush mode. The 60 fps feels really smooth, and boss rush is pretty fun. This is my best time in the "everything unlocked" mode. My "Real Time" time for the run is 4:48, but the In Game Time (what the game tracks) is 3:55.865
This is a Low% run, where the aim is to pick up as little items as possible (excluding HP kits). This means using the Monolith Room Early skip to skip picking up the map system, picking up no teleporters (no fast travel), picking up no gearbits and picking up no guns. A lot of time is added simply from having to backtrack from each area back to town instead of warping back, and bosses are harder to kill without the shotgun.
That spike bridge in the west is a lot harder than I thought it'd be without the chain dash, lost almost an entire minute there. Also had a really weird bug in the Bullet Baker fight in the south, where falling off put me outside of his boss fight arena for some reason.
I tried going to the east first to see if its faster, but I think the north is still faster, especially if you were to do the 2nd frog skip in the east. Sub34 get!
This was an okay run. Had a couple of deaths to bosses, and a minor routing error after finishing the east, so there's probably an easy minute or so that could be shaved off of this.
I had a really sick slide in the chain dash challenge room in the south. No deaths this run, which was a plus.
Playing this feels a lot easier coming from NG+ where I only have 2 hp. But I made a super stupid mistake in the south and had to backtrack a bit to pick up a module. Oh well.
Mostly everything went well this time. Some time was lost to the west boss and a bit of sloppiness in the Archer split, but otherwise a very solid run.
I've gotten a lot faster overall at this run from doing a bunch of all bosses runs. I had no deaths either, which is hard for this category. Got my sub29 with this.
I had 2 very dumb deaths to scythe man and judgement was a little slow, but otherwise a good run. I also messed up my west split, the split should happen at 19:27, not 18:48 (I fixed my splits after the run). But I finally got a true sub34.
Played on the 7/14/2016 patch.
I'm not very happy with missing that map transition skip so many times in a row in the west, that cost me at least 20 seconds. Other than that the only major time loss was to not getting the quick kill on Alucard (the module mimic) and a death to rocket man. So close to sub34.
Played on the 7/14/2016 patch.
This was a great run. Pretty much optimal performance in the east, north, and west. South was a little slow (and a weird death there) but overall it was good. Choked a little with my plinks on Judgement, but I didn't die so that's not a huge loss.
Played on the 7/14/2016 patch.
This new patch is a lot smoother, and some of the time improvement probably comes from just it. But the use of select buffering at certain modules to move during module cutscenes and general performance improvements in general (great bird and archer fights) also help the run out. The east could be about 20 seconds faster if I had more cooperative frogs, and those 2 deaths in the south really suck, but I got sub 31!
