It was a blast!But it turned into a slugfest...After playing the whole Trudvang Campaign we can say there have been some missed oppertunities.If CMON gave Trudvang some more love, by giving it some depth. Gaining different cards not better versions of the ones you have, the game giving you more counterweigth. By offering to punish you more for failing the drafted runes, not implementing statuseffects. Rise of the Wastelands is a 4x game, but it doens't have many of the normal "drawbacks" like big set-up and lots of rules. The player boards might look imposing but once you take a good look at them, you'll find it's straightforward. We have played the game before in Utrecht on the spellenbeurs convention. There is a lot of fun to be had in Rise of the Wastelands. For players who aren't warmongers Rise of the Wastelands is a good option. You can play this game passively, but the achievements might try to push you to be a little aggressive here and there. We found this a healthy change to the normal 4x style. Players who hunker down can't score endless points if the right achievements are not on the table. Unboxing ROBINSON CRUSOE is a bit of a let down 1D6 2024-03-14 | The feeling of excitement never gets old when a new board game gets delivered at 1D6! We eagerly backed the Robinson Crusoe campaign on Gamefound back in March 2021, expecting its delivery by February 2022. However, after an additional two years of waiting, the game has finally made its way to us.Our hopes were high for Robinson Crusoe: The Collector's Edition, yet sadly, the game didn't quite meet our expectations. At 1D6, we're fond of miniatures, but in this edition of Robinson Crusoe, they seem somewhat out of place. The oversized miniatures, particularly the characters, feel like an unnecessary addition. We find ourselves preferring the traditional wooden character discs over the miniatures. In our view, Portal Games focused on the wrong enhancements. The board could have benefited from an upgrade to better accommodate all the components, and the inclusion of a dice tower feels like more of a gimmick than a practical addition.In its latest edition of Robinson Crusoe, Portal Games misses the mark, failing to deliver the classic in a deluxe version.🔔 Do you like this video?
