We will not eat out this week - not even a coffee from a coffee shop. I’ve meal planned all of our meals and everything is mostly Organic and we eat mostly plant-based with about 2 meals a week with animal protein. I thought I would be transparent and share what we bought and how much we spent! In follow up from our conversation in Instagram Story a lot of you are also feeling the effects of inflation and rising food prices! I do choose to shop at Whole Foods which makes some items more expensive - although interesting enough if you start comparing prices say a tetra pack or can of Organic beans from Whole Foods versus say Trader Joes or Target... Whole Foods is cheaper! My goal is to continue to meal plan, cook from home and find ways to save money which I am interested in exploring shopping at other stores to see how that turns out! To note, I have shopped at other grocery stores many times and I still do for an item here or there but I tend to come back to Whole Foods and Costco often for our main hauls due to the quality of produce and being able to get all the items I like from one store. Hello friends and welcome back! Fall is here and I’m so excited to share with you 3 different ways to make french today today to celebrate my favorite season. We’ll start with a traditional french toast recipe then add an apple maple cinnamon topping. Next we’ll be making a pumpkin pecan french toast bake, this is a great make-ahead breakfast dish to enjoy for weekdays, a slow weekend morning or a holiday gathering! Lastly, if you have little ones like me you’re going to love these french toast sticks with a cinnamon maple yogurt dip which makes a great breakfast or even a fun breakfast for lunch or dinner! This is a really easy, simple recipe and great news... the playdough will not stain your table, clothes or floor!! Although optional to add food coloring if you prefer :) HOMEMADE PLAYDOUGH: INGREDIENTS: 2 cups of flour 4 tablespoons cream of tartar 1 cup of salt 3 tablespoons oil 1.5 cups of water
DIRECTIONS: Add all ingredient to a stovetop pot. Stir continuously on low heat until the dough comes together. Transfer to parchment paper and knead a few times. Enjoy!!

I have learned that there are MANY people who want to balance their thyroid health from a holistic and functional nutrition perspective! As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and as someone who has personally struggled with a thyroid imbalance and has worked to naturally bring balance back to my health… I am here to help!!

Strawberry Heart Milk Ingredients: 1/2 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen) 1 cup filtered water 1 cup non-dairy milk + Extra milk for the glasses
Directions: Add the strawberries, water and milk to a blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy. Add to a mini heart silicone tray (kids can help with this!!) and then freeze overnight. Add heart ice to glasses and top with non-dairy milk. Let ice melt (the more it melts, the more strawberry milk it gets!) Stir and enjoy!! 🍓🍓

Below is the recipe + some health benefits of key ingredients! 🌿 Daily Green Drink Ingredients: 1 handful of romaine lettuce A few dandelion leafs 1 handful of cilantro 1 apple 1 banana (optional, but makes it super creamy!) 1 lemon, juiced 1/2 cucumber 1/4 cup avocado, fresh or frozen 1 cup of water 1/2 cup of ice Directions: Blend on high in a high-speed blender for 30-60 seconds until smooth and creamy! 🌿HGG GREEN SMOOTHIE... Romaine: This green is water-dense & contains calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, potassium, vitamin C, vitamin K, and folate. Dandelion Greens: An excellent source of vitamins A, C and K.
