In this episode of Song Stories, I revisit “No More,” a song I originally wrote and produced in 2021, and explore how one guitar riff eventually became multiple versions of the same song.I started “No More” as an exercise while taking Ryan Tedder’s songwriting and production course. The original idea began with a guitar riff, followed by a melody, lyrics, verses, choruses, and eventually a bridge. After producing the original demo and hiring a vocalist, the song continued to evolve.Years later, I used AI to reinterpret the song in a variety of genres, including glitch, LoFi, punk, synthwave, Motown, and 70s rock. The interesting part is that the AI versions can preserve elements of the original songwriting—especially the guitar riff and melodic ideas—while completely changing the instrumentation, arrangement, and performance.For me, one of the most fascinating things about AI music is hearing my own song in a way I've never heard it before.
