In Part 2, the D7 chords will fit better with the Mixolydian scale (D E F# G A B C) or major pentatonic (D E F# A B). The question is, when do you change scales? The G/B will work with both scales, but maybe it’s easier to use Mixolydian, to avoid changing scale too quickly.
