The reported failure sounded extremely familiar to the ASRock and 9800X3D CPU failures, and we do actually think that it WAS experiencing that issue initially -- but unfortunately, sometime during the user's troubleshooting process and before we received the board, a pin got bent. Second-Hand Scams on Amazon GNCA - GamersNexus Consumer Advocacy 2025-02-22 | We got second-hand scammed on Amazon. This is more common than it probably should be and similarly mirrors our Newegg "new-in-box" RMA item incident, with one major, important difference: Thus far, Amazon has always just refunded us when it happens and without question. This is an instance where we think it's a "second-hand scam," meaning that a customer appears to have scammed Amazon, the retailer, on the return, and then we got hit secondarily as the item was repackaged and sold as new, despite being open box.
