The Glide Gear TMP750 is a large teleprompter - but bigger isn't necessarily better when it comes to reading a teleprompter. Learn how I put this together and adjusted Speakflow to make reading look natural.The Glide Gear TMP750 is a large teleprompter, which I like for Zoom calls (looking the other person in the eye) however it's a bit large for a desktop teleprompter. It works well if you are standing 15 to 20 feet away. But Speakflow can be adjusted to only use the center of the screen.I have a different setup on my desk, using the GlideGear TMP500. If that doesn't work, your best idea is to purchase an inexpensive green screen and set up Zoom to use the greenscreen by checking a checkbox.Common problems with Zoom digital backgrounds:1) two people on screen2) animals on screen3) holding something up for the camera4) wearing earrings or headphones5) moving quicklyAll these can result in bad images where more than just the background is removed from the image. But adding a green screen helps Zoom know the difference between the foreground and the background. The only issue with a green screen is that you cannot wear green. CuePrompter cueprompter.com- Head over to cueprompter.com.- Copy and paste your script in the text box under "Quick start". TIP: Add a couple of blank lines at the top so that the script starts at the middle of the screen. - Scroll down to the settings below the text box and choose how you'd like the text to look. - Click Start Prompter. This opens up another tab with your script. Use the space bar to start and stop your script. TIP: Keep the text at the center of the screen so that you'll look like you're just talking to the camera and not reading a script. 2. Use Zoom or ScreenFlow to record your videos- Get Zoom here: zoom.us/download- Download ScreenFlow telestream.net/screenflow/overview.htm?irgwc=1&clickid=XxRxqFSlYxyOUPAwUx0Mo3wGUkEUPK2UZRlKx003. If you don’t have a teleprompter, make an outline of what you need to say and put it on your desk, then look down at your notes periodically.4. Don’t read a script while doing a live PowerPoint presentation. My recommendation is to just turn off your camera and read your script on paper. If you don't have a home office, or if your office is a bit messy, just pull up a virtual background and you're all set for your next online meeting. But the Zoom virtual background feature also has its imperfections:- you don't have a clean outline- if you move around, some parts of you will be missing on-screen, and- it's difficult to show other objects on cam because it only detects your face.If you do Zoom meetings often, I suggest using an actual green screen so your video becomes less distracting and would look more professional. If you use a virtual background without a green screen, you are likely to run into a few problems - and using a real greenscreen is the solution.How to add a virtual background on zoom (+ bonus step on how to use zoom with green screen)1. This needs to be changed to RAID 1.How to change RAID Configuration:- Open WD Drive utilities- Go to RAID Management, Configuration- Choose Mirror - maximum data protection (RAID 1) Please note that every time you change this setting, all of your data will be wiped.How to know your RAID Status:- Open WD Drive utilities- Go to RAID Management, Status. In my case, you can see that it's "Degraded," which means the failed drive needs to be changedSystem #2: BackBlaze/Cloud Storage 06:30How to use Backblaze - How to restore files through Backblaze via Web Download/USB Flash Drive/USB Drive:- Go to Backblaze Preferences- Click Restore options- Sign in to website to restore- Under View/Restore Files, choose Method. Web Download is free. Other options include Save Files to B2, USB Flash Drive ($99), and USB Hard Drive ($189). Configure Lilliput for Teleprompter Brighton West Video 2020-08-26 | In this video I show how to configure a Lilliput A8 field monitor to use it in a teleprompter. I use the Lilliput to see eye to eye on video calls and also to be able to read a presentation while looking at the camera. brightonwestvideo.com/blog/tools/the-best-video-conference-setup This is one of the few external monitors that can flip (or reverse or mirror) the screen so that it shows up correctly in a teleprompter mirror. This makes it great for looking clients in the eye on Zoom or Skype. And for reading text on screen.This is not necessary if you are only using the teleprompter to read a script from a teleprompter application. Those will mirror the text for you. But if you want to see your screen, a PowerPoint presentation or be able to move your mouse in a logical way, then this is the best solution.The Lilliput is designed as a field monitor for videographers, so the default settings aren't ideal for using as part of a teleprompter. You can turn off things like the volume meter and histogram and also flip the image so that it's correct when looking into the teleprompter mirror.The Lilliput A8 is no longer being manufactured, but I found the FA 1016 for just a little more money. It's bigger, brighter and easier to read. And the configuration is easier.
