Miele WT745 & Asko/Cylinda 20005: test wash/spin Wasmachineman 2023-10-30 | @jesper6107 came over earlier today and he bought me these three machines, a supposedly dead WT745 (that only neeeded a little nudging of the pump to get working lol) and a Cylinda 20005/7705 set. Washer needs a pump, haven't tested the dryer but it could use a clean. WT745 has been stripped for parts as it's physically in bad condition. Worked perfectly otherwise, short of the door button being dead.
Miele Novotronic W908: Easy-Cares 50 Wasmachineman 2023-10-14 | The usual story: free machine up for grabs locally in questionable condition. AquaStop was broken so I had to drill out the valve. Also replaced the inlet valves and shocks because they were dead.Other than that, it's in great condition for it's age, with the usual scratches and a burnt-in coffee stain on the door trim for some reason. This W908 is one of the last OG 900 Series machines, this one being built on September 24th 1997.
Can the RTX 4090 run GTA V in 5k? Wasmachineman 2023-09-19 | Answer: well, yes and no. Not maxed out with 8xAA at 5120x3200 and still get 60+ FPS. It will likely take a 5090 to do so. Still, 40 FPS at this insane resolution is nothing to sneeze at! Something I also noticed: GTA V looks MUCH, MUCH nicer with a Nvidia card than my 6900 XT in the main rig. The sun has godrays, reflections on TT5/Rstein's windows or grille are not broken and look as they should with 8x Reflection AA. Only issue i'm getting is strange pop-in.Recorded using ShadowPlay on my AI/VR rig, featuring a 5800X3D, 64GB of B-Die at 3200 CL14 using a built-in memory profile of my ASUS C8DH, a Inno3D RTX 4090 iChill Frostbite ULTRA with the Galax HoF 666W vBIOS (so the card runs at 1.1V as it should) and a custom loop composed of dual 420 mm rads plus 3x480 as external water cooling. This all is powered by a Corsair AX1600i since I originally intended on going dual 3090 Ti for AI stuff. Might still do that if I ever go off the deep end with it though, and move the 4090 to my main rig.

Well, here's TT5/Rstein on Figure8's Top Speed Track going over 1000 km/h and no pop in. Max settings except Grass Quality, 8x AA, 3840x2400 VSR.Even later in the city the only issue I have is relatively low FPS. And Rstein somehow breaking parts even with the Knight Rider mod enabled :^)

Asko 770: test rinse after repairs Wasmachineman 2022-03-19 | Was running a load earlier today and around the 30 minute mark I noticed the wash pump failed, ended up being an impeller that's completely gone leaving only a stub of plastic.Swapped over the one from the 770 that was above it and now I have a working 770 again.Testing it on Program 6/Final Rinse to check for leaks and if the replacement pump is working correctly.

GTA V: Some hooning around (and me testing my 6900 XTs performance) Wasmachineman 2022-01-13 | Yes, I finally upgraded to something that's four times the performance of my RX480: a Sapphire Radeon RX 6900 XT Toxic Extreme Edition. I wanted a 6900XT Toxic AC but ended up going with a slightly used Toxic EE.Gotta kill some time on waiting for some game downloads so here's some hooning around in my Vulcar Ingot Four Thousand just to show off how AWESOME this GPU is. Shame the AIO pump and fans are quite loud, oh well.1600p VSR, maxed out settings except Grass Quality, and still getting above 60 FPS in Sandy Shores. Card has a very slight (1150mV) undervolt and min/max core frequency are set to 2500/2600 in WattMan. I now have it set to 2730 and 2180 MHz VRAM with Fast Timings enabled.One thing I did notice too: ReLive recording quality seems to be significantly better compared to the RX480. Miele Novotronic W729: Final wash on Cottons 95 Wasmachineman 2021-12-03 | Got myself another free W729 and here it is running on Cottons 95, it has been disassembled for parts right after filming. It's extremely dirty, the prewash valve is completely dead and the door seal has a tear in it causing it to leak. This machine is radically different than the W729 I had in October, this machine has a base plate with float switch (and seems to be downgraded from WPS to a normal rubber hose considering how stupidly long the inlet hose is), Novotronic I controls so no 1/2 load button, and a MRT34 motor instead of the MRT01 the other one had.And yes, 1:39 is my cat, Rakker.

GTA V: TT5/Rstein goes for a drive (on a laptop from 2011) Wasmachineman 2021-11-27 | And the world around him looks like it's running on a underpowered, broken computer.For some reason, the latest drivers for the FirePro M8900 are VERY broken and cause blocks to appear in GTA V, even with shadows disabled.Recorded on a Dell Precision M6600:i7-2760QM, now a i7-2960XMFirePro M8900 @ 850/1150 which replaced a dead Quadro 3000M (and was in turn replaced by a Quadro 4000M. And got replaced by a Quadro 5010M!)And above all: a PremierColor IPS screen which is the reason I bought it in the first place.Fun fact: the RULLZ capture card can also capture audio over HDMI!

Miele W487 and Asko 20005: Cottons 95 part 1: Prewash/end of the main wash Wasmachineman 2021-11-13 | Bought this machine a few weeks ago at a thrift store in so-so condition and it will be going back, you'll see why in part 3.The Asko is doing Program 1 95 Eco with some shop rags and is nearing the end of the prewash and the start of the main wash. The Miele on the right is doing some whites on Cottons 95, nearing the end of the main wash, a cooldown, interim spin and rinses. Amazing how quiet it is compared to the Asko even though it has the same type of motor!
Miele W487 and Asko 20005: Cottons 95, part 2: Final rinse and final spin fail Wasmachineman 2021-11-13 | For whatever reason, the motor just.. died during the final spin causing it to give a error code for Motor Malfunction/flashing Rinse.The Asko is about halfway in the main wash.

Yes, that is smoke coming out of the door from the door seal being eaten by the drum!So much for being Miele's top of the line machine in 2003, lol. The Asko next to it is from 1995 and only needed a new pump, shocks, door and inlet valves in 26 years time!The Asko still is halfway the main wash.
Miele Novotronic W729: Last wash (on Cottons 95) Wasmachineman 2021-10-14 | Bought this machine for parts as the door lock was broken and the fact it's extremely gross, I jerryrigged the door lock by bridging the two wires for the microswitch tricking the machine into thinking the door is permanently closed, and as for actually keeping the door closed: a garden rake and our backyard lawn.Doing a wash on Cottons 95 with some Jumbo detergent to clean it out before being disassembled, as I like working on a clean machine. This is the quietest Miele I have ever owned!

I heatgunned the GPU back to life (but it still errors like crazy when running MATS) and here it is running SPECviewperf 11.Specs:Intel Core i7-2760QM16GB RAMNvidia Quadro 3000M @ stock and with damaged VRAMWindows 7 UltimateAnd above all: a RGBLED IPS display that looks worse than my M6500's WUXGA RGBLED display somehow.
GTA V: Ghost Replay test on the Nurburgring Wasmachineman 2021-07-18 | And as you can see by my extremely aggressive driving I was rather pissed due to various stuff like the latest version of Ghost Replay being broken or that I could not get a proper hotlap on this goddamn track. Until now. I even bettered my old track record set with the Vulcar Ingot Four Thousand by 15 seconds.Some minor mistakes here and there such as Rstein oversteering at 04:20 which caught me completely off-guard. Old owner got a new machine because the pump on this machine failed/started leaking. I replaced the pump and here it is again running on Cottons 95.I also replaced the door as it was bent inwards somehow and leaked. (and also dropping the door glass on the floor causing it to shatter, F)
GTA V: Which of the two Rsteins is the fastest? (Ghost Replay test) Wasmachineman 2021-06-20 | I got ikt's Ghost Replay mod working, and this is the result: I take Rstein the Ingot and TT5/Rstein around Joshua Road, Route 68, Panorama Drive, and back to Joshua Road.I even managed to set a new personal TT: 51 seconds.
