35028 Clan Line returns with its 50th Anniversary Pullman Train! 27th April 2024 Barney Ward 2024-04-27 | A very special day for the SR Merchant Navy Class, as possibly its most famous locomotive 35028 Clan Line hauled its first mainline train since July 2022, having just returned to steam after being away for a while undergoing repairs and acquiring a new boiler ticket. This was the 50th anniversary Pullman train that Clan Line hauled was in honour of it being 50 years when it pulled its first train on the mainline in preservation back in 1974.Here is footage I captured of it today, first speeding past Andover Station, up to where it stopped at Salisbury Station for about 50 minutes to take on more water, as the train as originated from London Victoria Station earlier in the morning, before continuing its journey up to Bath Spa station in the afternoon. Thankfully the weather played nice for me and my Grandpa to see Clan Line today, and boy was it so worth it!
Severn Valley Spring Steam Gala Action! Taw Valley, Blue Peter, Fenchurch etc, 20th April 2024 Barney Ward 2024-04-23 | After a great time out at the Severn Valley Railway's Spring Gala in 2023, I had to come back again for the event this year and it didn't disappoint! There was a really nice list of Tank Engines as visiting guest locomotives this time around, as well as 60532 Blue Peter which while on display, was a really nice sight to see as the locomotive has been on the line for about a month doing some loaded test runs in preparation for its eventual return to the mainline this year. Unseen Footage - 2021 British GP Pre-Race Walk Around Barney Ward 2024-03-31 | So here is some footage I took walking around during the morning of the 2021 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, which also includes me getting a neat look at the new 2022 generation car on display as well. I had taken this footage as part of a potential plan to do one big video featuring all the races I took footage of, including the Classic GT Car race, Formula 2 and of course the F1 race itself, but I decided to do separate video for those races instead so this pre race footage has kind of stayed hidden away for a while, and me not so sure of what to do with it all. This is pretty much all I got pre-race wise, but I still felt it worthy to put this out to show the atmosphere and a good look into what was coming for 2022!

GWR 4079 Pendennis Castles 100th Birthday!! 3rd March 2024 Barney Ward 2024-03-05 | This past weekend marked a special occasion for one of Great Western's most beloved locomotives. 4079 Pendennis Castle from the 4073 Castle Class celebrated it's 100th birthday, having been one of the earliest members of the class first built back in February 1924, having a working life of 40 years before being withdrawn in May 1964. After being preserved and working several mainline runs in the 1970s, it was then sold to the Hamersley Iron Railway in Western Australia where it was shipped off to in 1977 and worked for until 1994, where it was placed in storage until it was repatriated back to its home in the UK in 2000. A long and lengthy restoration of over 20 years took place for the locomotive, before it was finally full overhauled and returned to steam in 2022.The day started off with fellow Didcot resident 2999 Lady of Legend hauling trains back and forth on the main demo line, while 4079 was busy getting ready to take over later, being showcased with a full spin on the Didcot turntable, and then having a special moment of being sung happy birthday too, with a specially made cake of the locomotive cut up, which I had a piece of and loved it! Pendennis eventually took over the main demo duties of Lady of Legend, where it sure put on a lovely display on it's big day! Enjoy!

Battlefield Line Winter Gala Steam Action! 3rd February 2024 Barney Ward 2024-02-04 | Quite a fun day this was! Was my first time visiting the Battlefield Line Railway for it's Winter Warmer Gala event with several guest Steam Locos putting on a great show! Unlike most other Heritage Railways, this one doesn't have any Steam Locomotives based on this railway, so this was a special occasion with Steam being the main focus of action on the railway. And some notable moments from this, with 78018 struggling to steam out of Shackerstone, even getting wheelslip in the process, as well as a doubleheader train with 2 surviving classmates of the GWR 5101 Large Prairie Class together with 4144 and 5199!Originally, newly built GWR 6880 Betton Grange was planned to be a guest loco at this event but wasn't ready in time, and so 78018 took it's place, and rather importantly as the locomotive when originally saved for preservation in 1978 was first moved to the Battlefield Line for restoration, but ended up being sold off and restored elsewhere, so it was rather poetic to see 78018 return to where it's original plans for restoration was supposed to be!Steam Locomotives featured:BR Standard Class 2 78018 (visiting from the Great Central Railway)GWR 5101 Class 4144 (Visiting from the Didcot Railway Centre)GWR 5101 Class 5199 (Visiting from the West Somerset Railway)

Severn Valley Railway Winter Steam Gala! 6th and 7th January 2024, final runs for 43106 Flying Pig Barney Ward 2024-01-08 | Here is my first video to begin 2024! In the cold and chilly hills of the famous Severn Valley Railway holding it's first ever Winter Steam Gala event, with the majority of it's own fleet out in action! Some noteworthy marks from this event include the first major outing for the LMS Stanier Mogul 2968, returning from an overhaul that lasted over 10 years, and will be properly repainted into LMS lining and renumbered 13268 in the next few months. Fellow LMS Locomotive, Ivatt Class 4 43106 "The Flying Pig" made it's last appearance in service in this event at the end of it's Boiler Ticket and will go into storage after with it's future plans currently unknown, while SR West Country Class 34027 Taw Valley, currently in Wartime Black and SR number 21C127 will go for an intermediate overhaul this year with hope to return to service later in 2024 or 2025.0:00 6th January8:58 7th January

34046 Braunton roars past Andover with the London to Bath Christmas Market! 28th November 2023 Barney Ward 2023-11-29 | Went out yesterday to capture and see a Bulleid Pacific on the mainline for the first time and oh boy was it absolutely glorious! 34046 Braunton from the SR West Country and Battle of Britain Class billowing lots of steam and smoke as it powers past Platform 2 at Andover Station with the Steam Dreams: London to Bath Christmas Market Train!I had initially thought of capturing it passing through from Platform 1, but decided otherwise to not risk my view being obscured by another train, which turned out to be a wise choice, as another train pulled up just as Braunton began to appear in the distance!

A very satisfying NR2003 Pit Stop Barney Ward 2023-11-20 | This more a simple video than anything else, but I put this together as I think it's very eye opening to look back and see how unique the animations of Pit Stops were in the Papyrus NASCAR games of back then, particularly in their last installment before EA took the exclusive rights in 2004. This replay footage is from an online race I did at Talladega back in May 2015.
LMS Stanier Black 5 45212 on the Nene Valley Railway! 5th November 2023 Barney Ward 2023-11-07 | Made my first visit back to the Nene Valley Railway since the Spring of this year, and this time they had another mainline Steam Locomotive on hand! Based from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, 1935 built 45212 from the LMS Stanier Class 5, one of 18 members of the class that survived into preservation, has recently been hired out by the railway primarily to run it's special Winter/Santa services for the rest of this year, as well as run one normal service day which took place this past Sunday. as it hauled a Train named The Fenman, a famous passenger train that first formed under British Rail in 1949 and ran from London Liverpool Street Station to Hunstanton in Norfolk.While I have seen a few LMS Black 5's on the mainline previously, this was the first time I got to see and ride behind one on a heritage railway, and it was a wonderful experience! 45212 was one of over 840 locomotives built for the class between 1934 and 1951, which were most known as one of the most reliable mixed traffic locomotives built, being very strongly able to handle the likes of Passenger trains, cargo and goods trains alike, and with a good chunk of them being preserved following the withdrawal of Steam on the BR rails in the late 1960's, they've very much proved their worth in preservation and are a well loved and respected class of locomotives among Steam Enthusiasts!

My first time at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway! 10th July 2023 Barney Ward 2023-07-15 | So earlier this week, I spent a few days away with my parents on the Isle of Wight, an island I've not been to for quite a long time. I had not yet visited the Heritage Steam Railway they have there as well, and so we went there this Monday to see how it was, and it was a great time! For the only prominent heritage railway on the island, it was amazing to see just how well kept in condition it is, and also how popular it is with the public too! It runs for about 5 1/2 miles long with about 3 or 4 main station, notable Havenstreet Station, Wootton Station, Ashey Station and Smallbrook Junction.The train we travelled on this day was a Hunsley Austerity 0-6-0ST Locomotive known as 3792, also numbered and named WD192 Waggoner, originally built back in 1953, painted in the LMR Prussian Blue livery. This I believe was also my first time seeing a Hunslet Austerity in proper passenger operation as well, so in a way, this day was a bit of a win-win all round! And I do certainly hope to come back here another time too.

LNER B1 61306 Mayflower Steams through Haddenham & Thame Parkway! 27th May 2023 Barney Ward 2023-05-27 | Another Steam Locomotive I got to capture in operation for the first time, this one being 61306 Mayflower, one of 410 locomotives originally built for the LNER Thompson Class B1, and one of only two that survived into preservation. Here it is hauling the Steam Dreams Excursion Railtour Train that started earlier in the day from London Paddington, which heads up to Oxford, as here it passes through the Haddenham and Thame Parkway railway station on the way. Was a blast!
2023 Cotswold Festival of Steam Gala on the GWSR! 12th May 2023 Barney Ward 2023-05-14 | As with other Gala events I've paid my first visit to before, this is another one I can now cross off my list! The Cotswold Festival of Steam, an event held once a year on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, is a celebration of when Cheltenham and Gloucester used to have one of the largest working railway networks back in the heydays of Steam, with home and guest locomotives appearing that had some sort of familiarity with the respective areas before the withdrawal of Steam in the 1960s. Had an absolute blast on this day, seeing locomotives I've not seen yet as well as those that I have, having lots of different kinds of variety makes these days all the more enjoyable! GWR 6999 Capel Dewi Hall and 4079 Pendennis Castle Doubleheader on the GWSR! 13th May 2023 Barney Ward 2023-05-14 | Felt this needed it's own video due to it being a special occasion. I attended the Cotswold Festival of Steam Gala for the first time on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, and this doubleheader train featuring 4079 Pendennis Castle from the GWR 4073 Class, and 7903 Foremarke Hall which is in the guise of its former scrapped classmate 6999 Capel Dewi Hall, marked the occasion of when 6999 took over from 4079 on a high speed railtour in May 1964 after 4079 had a failure during the run and had to withdraw.
2023 Mini Challenge UK @ Donington Park - Sam Smith Huge Crash Barney Ward 2023-04-30 | minichallenge.co.uk/2023/04/24/statement-sam-smith Update: 21:30 – 25 April - "Sam Smith has now been released from hospital and will continue his recovery at home."Sam Smith suffered a huge accident in the Mini Challenge UK race at Donington Park when what would seem to be a brake failure, pitched him onto a collision course with the car of Dan Zelos at turn 1, forcing the race to be stopped immediately and declared official.

My first time attending a Steam Gala on the Severn Valley Railway and it was glorious. LNER A4 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley back in BR Blue! Nene Valley Railway, 7th April 2023 Barney Ward 2023-04-07 | Now repainted and renumbered back into BR Blue and 60007, the great Sir Nigel Gresley locomotive from the ever popular LNER A4 Class made it's first visit to the Nene Valley Railway today where it will be operating on for this weekend and next weekend as well!It was fantastic today seeing this marvelous locomotive back in a colour I very much adore! Was kinda tough to get more footage as possible as the crowds were certainly out in force, but I did the best I could! And I may also look to getting a fresh brand new camera soon too.
LMS 46115 Scots Guardman races past Dudley Port! 11th March 2023 Barney Ward 2023-03-11 | Hauling the train known as The Stratford Flyer, 6115 (BR 46115) Scots Guardman steams past Dudley Port Railway Station at about 60mph from the journey that started earlier in the day at Manchester Victoria, up to Straford-Upon-Avon. The Scots Guardman is one of only 2 surviving members of it's class, the other being 6110 (BR 46110) Royal Scot, but both are operational and mainline certified!
4 GWR Castle Class Locomotives on Display! Didcot Railway Centre, 4th March 2023 Barney Ward 2023-03-07 | So, this past Saturday, I attended a very special event with my Dad and my elder Brother. At the famous Didcot Railway Centre in Oxford, this special Great Western Railway event was put together in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the debut of the famed GWR 4073 Castle Class, in which it's first members were built and entered service in 1923, and 4 of the surviving members of the class were brought on to be put on display all side by side with each other for a good period of time while me and many other people got our pictures, videos and looks at one of the most beautiful classes of Steam Locomotives ever produced.These 4 locomotives on display were:-4079 Pendennis Castle, built in February 1924, which recently returned to Steam in 2022 after undergoing restoration and overhaul for about 20 years.-5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, built in March 1936, which just recently returned to the mainline from a few years of overhaul.-5051 Drysllwyn Castle, built in May 1936, which has been on static display at Didcot since 2008 when it's boiler certificate last expired.-7029 Clun Castle, built in May 1950, which has been in mainline operation since 2019 after a long overhaul.
2022 BTCC Season Finale @ Brands Hatch - Support Race Paddock Tour! Barney Ward 2023-03-03 | Here's something a little different compared to other stuff I upload. I took footage of these in the last BTCC meeting of 2022 at Brands Hatch, but didn't really feel compelled for while to make them their own separate video until now. This was a nice little neat look at the the cars that compete as support categories to the British Touring Car Championship. From British F4, to the Porsche Carrera Cup, Mini Quaife Challenge, Ginetta GT4 Supercup etc!
GWR 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe is back on the rails! 24th February 2023 Barney Ward 2023-02-24 | After being away for an overhaul for several years, the very popular Great Western Locomotive known as 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe (originally known as Barbury Castle) from the 4073 Class, made its grand return today performing a Loaded Test Run on the mainline for the first time since 2017. As such, this was my first ever time getting to see it in action, and it was so well worth it, especially to hear that ever iconic GWR Whistle shriek as it roared past Narborough Station.
20 Years of NR2003 - Blooper Reel Barney Ward 2023-02-11 | This is a little oopsie I did while testing for this 10 lap race with the in-game 2003 Cup cars of NASCAR Racing 2003 Season game. It was the first time I had driven on the game with a wheel in a long while so I was getting back used to this sort of feel of driving, but I did get a bit over exuberant racing Ken Schrader for the lead, and the results of that were certainly quite catastrophic.
20 Years Tribute to NR2003 - 10 Laps of Daytona Barney Ward 2023-02-04 | This, is a tribute to a game I have put many hours of fun and enjoyment into over the years. NASCAR Racing 2003 Season is a game that has truly stood the test of time for many years. Even though sadly NASCAR games for the longest time have been starved of quality since the EA days, NR2003 is still a game that has lots of love, passion and effort put into it. With so many amazing mods and tracks, whether real or fictional that have been made for use in the game, NR2003 has always had lots of variety to chose from and race and also have fun with, which even today, has made it still stand out well against the competition.What I did here is, kinda like a go back in time kind of thing. While I didn't get this game until early 2011, after discovering it through Crash compilations in the mid 2000's, I like to think of this as something I imagine a lot of people did, when they first got this game on the 4th February 2003, which is when this game first released in North America, then subsequently across the world too.I've also had the pleasure of being a part of several offline leagues in the early 2010's as well thanks to this game, as well as even briefly running one myself with the PWF Trans-Am Mod. Some of these include the NASCAR SEGA Cup Series by TrentTheHedgie, the Snickers Cup Series by NNSCRA, the TM Master Cup Series by Cynon44, and the ARLA Elite Series by CJStudios1.I think it's safe to say that Papyrus absolutely struck gold with NR2003, a game with amazing crash physics, a replay system that allows you follow and look back at any situation you like, a great tool system to make paint schemes and temples with, as well as realistic handling that helped influence current day NASCAR drivers like Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski to succeed at the top level of NASCAR.NR2003 is a game that I hold so much more appreciation for now than ever before. It is timeless, classic, iconic, legendary, and something we may never see the likes of ever again.
Great Central Railway Winter Steam Gala - 28/1/2023 Barney Ward 2023-02-01 | Here is the video of my first trip to a Steam Gala this year, this being the annual Winter Gala held every year on the last weekend of January at the Great Central Railway. 2nd Gala event I've attended at this Railway, and this didn't disappoint! The big highlight for me being the doubleheader train of the 2 BR Standard Class 5 locomotives, 73156 which is based at the GCR, and 73082 Camelot which was guest visitor from the Bluebell Railway. Also noteworthy is the BR 9F locomotive 92214 making its first public appearance in its newly painted BR Unlined Black livery, and LSWR S15 Class 506 visiting from its home at the Mid-Hants Railway. NR2003 Big Ones #10 (Riki Raceway Edition) Barney Ward 2023-01-27 | Back now with a 10th edition of NR2003 Big Ones! Had this all take place at one of my favourite fictional tracks in the game called the Riki Raceway Night. It's one of the fastest and most dangerous tracks in the game, with walls on the inside that stick out at very particular angles that if a car hits them, can send it flying back up into traffic wiping out almost the whole field sometimes, as is present here.Featuring mods and carsets like the 2003, 2006 and 2007 cup cars, TM Master Cup Series, The 1998 Busch Series mod and also the 2003 ASCAR/Days of Thunder series mod as well.

NR2003 Big Ones #9 Barney Ward 2023-01-20 | Welp, finally brought this back! My first NASCAR Racing 2003 Season video on my channel in well over a year, man its been too long hehe. This is absolutely one of my most beloved games I've ever played, and with the 20th anniversary of the release of NR2003 coming fairly soon, a part of me is thinking of doing a simply but effective tribute to this game that has stood the test of time.With real life tracks being updated to look like the ones of day, as well as Mods of the NASCAR Cup cars from each year up to 2022 being made, as well as many amazing fictional mods and tracks, this is a game that still has lots of heart and passion put into it to this day.I recently brought this game back on my pc recently, and been having a lot of fun with it like I used to! Also includes 2 extra clips of an online race I did with the DMR NNS13 mod at Talladega, where I got involved in several incidents but then avoided a big one with 2 to go and finished 5th :)
iRacing Class A Fixed S1 2023 - Talladega Carnage Barney Ward 2023-01-13 | Hello! So these were some Class A fixed races I did on iRacing recently at Talladega with the NASCAR NextGen cars. These were the first official races I had done on the sim in over 2 years, so I was kinda using this time to get used to being back racing and knowing what to expect.And well, the expected was just that, with crazy racing and desperate moves leading to pile ups and flips, with me being involved in some of them too. Was still fun for the most part though! I don't see myself doing this regularly, but some races every now and then will help me have fun racing against other people again :) Also, the cars I am driving in these videos are the ACDelco Chevy and the Rubbermaid Ford.

Locomotive as its whistles and departs Broadway Station in the beautiful setting afternoon sun on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway :)
iRacing Throwback - NASCAR 1987 Antics at Daytona Barney Ward 2023-01-06 | First iRacing video in about a year! This is more a throwback video than anything, as me and my friends did these fun crazy session not too long after the first batch of 1987 NASCAR stock cars were released for the sim, being the Chevrolet Monte Carlo and the Ford Thunderbird, with the Buick Sabre arriving a lot later. We did a lot of crashing and blowing over here like at Talladega! As these cars being from 1987 don't have roof flaps so, you're bound to take off in these :)
GWR 4270s last day in service - Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, 2nd January 2023 Barney Ward 2023-01-03 | Yesterday, I made another visit to a railway that I enjoyed first coming to in 2022, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway. This time to see a locomotive have its last day of operation before being retired for the time being, being Locomotive 4270 from the GWR 4200 Class, built between 1910 and 1923.This one was built in 1919 and is 104 years old this year, and has served on this railway since it re-entered traffic in 2014, but has now reached the end of its boiler ticket and yesterday was my first and probably last time I'll see it in service for some time, but was still a really good day!
Steam Locomotive Whistles! 2021 - 2022 Barney Ward 2022-12-25 | Decided to put together a little fun video to cap off this year! With clips from 2021 and mostly this year of course, this ranges of all sorts of iconic whistle sounds from Locomotives of all kinds, from the Great Western Railway, to the London North Eastern Railway, Southern Railway and London Midland & Scottish Railway etc. Hopefully will have much more of this in 2023!
LMS Black 5 44871 with the Sherborne Christmas Carol! 6th December 2022 Barney Ward 2022-12-09 | Made the trip up to the South East of England with my Grandparents to see this stunning LMS Stanier Black 5 Locomotive in action, hauling the Sherborne Christmas Carol from it's starting point of London Victoria to ending at Yeovil Junction. Here is 44871 hauling past Andover Station before then stopping off at Salisbury for an hour.
LNER A4 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley and LMS 6233 Duchess of Sutherland! 2nd and 3rd December 2022 Barney Ward 2022-12-04 | 2 days in a row I saw 2 of the most grand and stunning Steam Locomotives that have been made.The A4 4498 Gresley Locomotive was hauling the London to Lincoln Christmas Market Train originating from Ealing Broadway up to the Lincoln Railway Station. The station it passes through is Metheringham Station, where I had previously been to see the GWR 7029 Clun Castle locomotive pass through the month before, I went with my Mum this day and I decided to stand on the platform the A4 was passing right next to in hope of a better view, and well it certainly paid off!Then the next day, I went to the Spalding Station with my Grandpa to the the LMS 6233 Duchess locomotives pass through. It was hauling the Lindum Fayre train, originating from London Kings Cross station, and also heading up to it's destination at Lincoln too. The Duchess wasn't going as quick as the Gresley engine was, as Spalding has a 50mph speed limit I believe, but was still nonetheless looking very impressive as it sailed pass us!
BR 70000 Britannia on the Charge through Kings Sutton and Radley! 26th November 2022 Barney Ward 2022-11-27 | And another great locomotive I captured just recently! This being the famous 70000 Britannia Locomotive from the BR Standard Class 7, aka the Britannia Class. Due to rail strikes across the UK yesterday, the railway path for her was pretty clear as she hauled the Great Western Christmas Envoy. I came down to these stations with my Dad and he enjoyed it too!I will admit, the first shot at the Kings Sutton Railway Station almost became academic, as I was caught off guard by the sudden small Diesel train, but thankfully it cleared in time to see Britannia powering through at about 65 to 70mph!Then we sped our way down to Radley Station in the small village of Abingdon just with about 10 minutes or less to spare to see her pass through there as well, and to hear her glorious famous whistle as well. That was a big highlight as well!
LMS 6233 Duchess of Sutherland at Crewe and Chester! 19th November 2022 Barney Ward 2022-11-20 | Finally saw a locomotive I had wanted to see for a while now, and it was a day well spent. The LMS 6233 Duchess of Sutherland had a busy day yesterday. With it first doing a Light Engined movement up to the main station in the town of Crewe where me and my parents stopped off to see it there as it remained for over 20 minutes due a change of driver I believe.Then after that, it made it's way down to the mainline station at Chester where it did pace up and down a bit for a while, also taking on more coal as well, before eventually making it's way down to the front of the Train known as the Christmas Cheshireman, which had arrived there earlier being pulled by the LMS Jubilee Class 45596 Bahamas Locomotive, which had taken the train up to Chester from Bristol originally, and 6233 would bring the train back to Bristol for it's return journey.The train then made it's way to Platform 3 for it's passengers to board on, and it was really special to see her up close and personal. 6233 is one of 3 surviving members of it's class, and the only one operational in any regard currently too. Honestly hands down has one of the most beautiful liveries I've ever seen on a Steam Engine, LMS Crimson Lake Red is just so classy and pretty, and very much stands outs well too.
LMS Stanier Class 5 45231 and LNER A4 4498 parade through Northampton! 15th November 2022 Barney Ward 2022-11-15 | So, this was a bit hectic, but worth it in the end. the weather for once wasn't exactly kind this time. It was pretty wet on the platforms at my hometown's train station where I haven't visited for years, so finding a decent spot was tough, plus with other trains coming and going through, there was concern I might miss it, but I just made it to platform 2 in time to see both the Stanier Class Black 5 of 45231 "The Sherwood Forester", and ther LNER A4 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley pass through double headed together with a rake of coaches and a Diesel pushing behind.
