ThePlamzJoker 2My favourite Michael Rosen YTPMVs have always been the work of Telstar Logistics, and for a long time I've wanted to make one of my own in the same style. To practice using the same samples and visuals, I've recreated the beginning of "Turn On The Telly" completely from scratch. I honestly surprised myself with how accurate the result sounded, so I thought I'd upload it to show people how close to the original I can get.

Owen Was Full Metal Jacket (Remastered Version)ThePlamzJoker 22023-08-21 | One of my favourite videos on the internet, remade in higher quality using the audio from the original Niconico upload and 1080p widescreen visuals recreated from scratch.
My idea for this remake was originally going to be a far more ambitious project with the audio being put together from scratch as well as the visuals, but I realised how difficult it would be to make each sound accurately enough and decided to scrap this idea when I did some research on the video I was trying to recreate. What I thought was the original video for years was uploaded on August 21, 2009 by "atomicpuppy" (the intention being to put out this remake on the 14th anniversary of that date), but upon further digging I found that the video was also uploaded to the Japanese video sharing site Niconico on July 1, 2008, by a user whose name translates to "direct hit to the brain". This earlier version is likely the real original video with a much higher audio quality, which serves as a compromise to the insurmountable task of painstakingly recreating every sound correctly.
The visuals also suffer one drawback with being in a widescreen format, in that some of the film's original 4:3 footage is cropped and out of frame. The version of the film I used was formatted this way without adjustments regardless. I also deliberately omitted the first eight seconds that appears in the original video, because I felt it was unnecessary and the reposted version on YouTube did right to cut it out.
Paul first used this music and looping background animation as an intro clip for his video "Woketopia" on February 14, 2020, and has continued to use the clip at the start of nearly all of his main channel videos since. The synthwave style of the music and accompanying visual captures the feeling of our modern dystopian culture, saturated in technology, social media, news and political issues, with a nostalgic retro-futuristic theme representing the future we now live in today. The visual animation for the intro clip has since changed following the video "Brainwashing" on September 14, 2022, as part of the announcement of Paul's new podcast "Outburst", but the music has remained the same.
This video was mostly a simple test of my video render settings, which I've now configured for resolution, framerate and a higher audio bitrate. This was also to ensure I have still uploaded at least one single video to any channel each year, regardless of how small and unimportant, with 2020 being the only exception. I'm not back yet, but I fully intend to be when I'm ready.

Unlike the main collab, this is not a thorough analysis, review or critique of any entry so don't expect too much out of this. This was intended to be a bonus segment added to the end of the main video, but I chose to upload it separately due to the sheer length of the previous content. I initially had the idea to quickly made a joke teasing a "4" and then showing "have a good April Fools Collab 4" (based on the greentext post about Gabe Newell and E3) before realising I was two years too late. Instead, I whipped this up in the span of one morning/afternoon and sent it in five days before the collab's release date. The music video isn't edited for a full minute where the entrant names were shown, but I'm not making it again or remastering it. I made the majority of this intro in the last two weeks before the collab went up, and as a result it was incredibly rushed. If I'd had more time, I definitely would have added more to it, such as Michael's face on the apes and more character cameos in the background towards the end. Hopefully the next time I host a collab, it won't be so stressful to put together!

The idea of this project was to have only the previous member's part shown to the next, so throughout making this part I had only seen the one before mine. This results in a wacky adventure with Michael and the King, full of hijinks and shenanigans! It also resulted in a commitment made to others with a deadline I found nearly impossible to keep to, as I'm really not good at that sort of thing. While I later felt regretful of joining the project in the first place, seeing how my part did not fit well with all the others and the longer wait I had caused for the project's completion, this video features the most polished quality of any story-based YTP I had made before.
Additionally, I had much more ideas in mind that would have resulted in a much longer video. What I managed to finish here is essentially just a scene with dialogue to set up the adventure I was planning, but I had run out of time to make anything more. Perhaps I may someday finish the rest of what I intended to make.

An extremely sub-par YTP with deliberate demonstrations of low effort, and my first YTP using a video game as a source.
This video was made with the intention of low effort to begin with, being what I'd tell people not to take too seriously as a bit of mindless fun and isn't meant to be that good, but remains lacking in watchable value even when considering that mindset. Even the source material turned out to be of low quality, leaving the video visually unappealing all the way through. This is also technically the first Manhunt YTP ever made, but is by no means a good one.

A short video displaying the first true YTPMV I ever made, using the Creepy Castle melody from Donkey Kong 64, after I realised I can technically cheat and use Synthesia videos as a visual guide for the correct notes. The video also showed my viewers that from that moment on, I would be able to make a YTPMV at any given time, and I continued to do so in small segments of nearly every YTP I've made since. While poorly aged and quite pointless as a personal update, it remains a small milestone that I feel is deserving of a place in my collection of extra content.

Unfortunately, this was never finished. This segment also served as a teaser for what was meant to be my following YTP at the time, which was a remake of the unfinished Angry Video Game Nerd YTP from months earlier. This remake was also never completed, but funnily enough this scrapped segment of Plummalade 2 ended up with a benefit from being added to the collection of extra content. I'd had the idea of using the original Inspector Gadget cartoon as a source ever since my entry to the first Clean Rosen Collab, and this video was made so long ago that both the Clean Rosen Collab 2 and the new Inspector Gadget CG reboot TV series didn't exist yet. It was even meant to be a special of sorts, as I was closing in on 500 subscribers at the time and I thought it would be appropriate to create another YTP using something other than Michael Rosen (which back then was still new for me). Ultimately this video served as a tribute to the fun I had taking part in a YTP collab for the first time, and the Inspector Gadget references that coincidentally showed up in three separate entries including my own.

This was the first video I ever made with Vegas, serving as my attempt to make new content after getting to grips with using the software for the first time. The purpose of this video was to tell everyone that they should anticipate a massive change in my channel and the quality of my videos, since I had just bought Vegas Movie Studio 11 like a moron. Unfortunately, this idea of presenting a "watch out because I've got big guns now" attitude fell flat because I didn't know how to do anything in Vegas at that point. Don't get your hopes up, as there was a reason for it never being uploaded until now. This was my second YTP using a source other than Michael Rosen with iMovie, and much like the first one, it is absolutely awful. By the time I was ready to upload the video, I had already continued with my Michael Rosen YTP story and it would have looked bad to upload even then, let alone now. My entry for AlarmCopter's Animals of Farthing Wood Collab back in the early days of my channel, and another of the worst videos I have ever made.
While extremely embarrassing to watch a display of such poor skill, this was my first attempt at making a YTP with iMovie using a source other than Michael Rosen. This is why the quality of entertainment and editing here is so much worse than that of my older videos - all the Michael Rosen YTPs I had made before this were simple storytelling and narration, with the most basic of sentence mixing with Michael to tell each story. This time, it was intended to be a YTP showcasing various jokes and effects, with much more emphasis on the visual presentation. It may still stand as a milestone for the first non-Rosen YTP I ever made, but it's also the worst.

The last of for musical videos I made with iMovie, featuring the Michael Rosen Rap terribly synced to Donkey Kong 64 music with the most horrendous samples slapped on top. This is without a doubt the worst video I have ever made. This was actually so bad that I'm quite sure I removed it from my channel just a couple of months after uploading it, unlike all the rest which survived for much longer. As you can probably guess if you actually made it past one second of watching, this video was supposed to be an attempt at making a proper YTPMV with samples imitating the original song, but iMovie provided such a limited ability that I'm surprised I even managed to get this far with it.

While experimenting with music alongside my source material, I was shocked to discover that the second version of Donkey Kong 64's Hideout Helm music fits quite well with Michael Rosen's video performance of "The Skyfoogle", when played at the same time without any additional editing. I decided to quickly make the video again in Vegas today, rather than upload the old iMovie export. It may seem trivial now, but it amazed me back then!
