I wasn’t the biggest fan of it when it came out because I thought it made Harry Potter too dramatic, but I realize that the final episode calls for dramatic and very moving music. Anakin vs. Obi Wan x Across The Stars x Binary Sunset | Star Wars Epic Medley Caleb Liu Music 2023-08-25 | The music of Star Wars is what inspired me to compose. I have vivid memories of playing with lego Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader humming the themes of John Williams. This piece is a homage to my three favorite pieces from the score: Anakin vs. Obi-Wan, Across the Stars, and Binary Sunset. There’s hints of other cues in there (Duel of the Fates, Rey’s Theme, the Force Theme) but for the most part, I kept it sounding similar to William’s original compositions. This was all done by ear using audio recordings. No score was used.
