STRANGER THINGS IN REAL LIFE!!! Surprising My Family at the Stranger Things Experience! The Tube Family 2022-07-02 | Decided to surprise the family during our road trip to San Francisco with a little visit to the Stranger Things Experience. We are all big fans of Stranger Things (although Season Four was a little scary for Jillian). I thought the timing would be perfect with the release of the final 2 episodes on Netflix.The experience is broken down into 2 sections, the live immersive "show" portion and then the "free play" area where you can shop, play video games, eat, drink and take photos in familiar settings from the show. I think our favorite part was the multiple photo opportunities and the pizza from Surfer Boy Pizza!No photos or videos are permitted during the show portion, as to not spoil the experience for future guests. But for those who are curious, here's a little of what you can expect: This portion of the experience is sort of a mix of a haunted house, escape room, interactive play and simulation ride. You travel from room to room, each one with a different elaborate set complete with live actors. There are some physical tasks. But if you're not up to it, it's not required. There is a good use of technology, 3D and special effects. There are some flashing lights, loud noises, but nothing too crazy. There is some strong language and some moments that might be scary for younger participants. But if they can handle Season 4, they'll probably be okay. We found it to be a very entertaining 45 minutes. That's all I'm going to say. The Tube Family 2021-10-16 | This year Jillian wanted to celebrate her 13th Birthday by having some of her friends over for some fun and games. They had a great time hanging out and playing outside. But the highlight of the evening was playing the Saran Wrap Ball Challenge! The game is played by passing around a giant ball full of prizes that has been wrapped up using plastic wrap. When it's your turn, you have to try and unwrap as many prizes as you can before the player next to you can roll doubles on the dice. When they do, it is then their turn to unwrap. They had a lot of fun, but with the excitement comes a lot of volume. We start the day off at Disney's California Adventure and their Animation Academy. During this session, they went over step by step instructions on how to draw Stitch! Then it was off to the Backlot Premiere Shop where we got to check out a ton of Marvel merch, toys, statues, and other cool collectibles. KIDS GET VACCINATED!!! Goodbye Masks! How Tall Are Evan and Jillian? The Tube Family 2021-05-16 | On today's vlog we take a trip to Walgreen's get get the kids vaccinated. The FDA just authorized the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for emergency use in 12-15 year olds. It couldn't come at a better time as the kids are now back to full time school, some extracurricular activities, and the fact that we will be traveling again this Summer. We felt it was important to get vaccinated, not only for our own health and peace of mind, but also to do our part in reducing the spread of the virus and protect those around us. To celebrate the occasion, we take a trip to Menchie's, the kid's favorite place to grab a cool frozen yogurt. FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! I Got Kicked Out of Class! The Tube Family 2020-09-09 | It's another 1st Day of School! Evan has his first day of high school and Jillian enters the 7th grade. But things are bit different this year since we're not actually going to school. Our school district has opted for distance learning for the first 2 months of the year to see how things go. HOW TO GET RID OF FLIES WITH A SHOP VAC!!! Chloe Eats a FLY! The Tube Family 2020-07-19 | This week we ran into a problem with flies. It appears that a house fly got into our house and decided to lay some eggs. Those eggs hatched into some huge nasty flies which invaded our bedroom. We didn't have a fly swatter so I got the next best thing - the SHOP VAC! Will these pesky bugs be able to escape the powerful forces or will they end up getting sucked into the black hole?!
