In this video I’m going to answer that question and explain why you should be careful what you wish for.
In this video I am going to do the world’s hardest language test, and show you just how easy it could be to pass any English exam, even if your level of English is really low.

This video was inspired by a question that somebody asked me about a meme that they had seen on the internet.
The student wanted to know if the grammar in the meme was correct, and if it was ok to use this type of language.
In this video I’m going to answer that question, and the answer will reveal the secret to producing perfect English grammar, every time.
Everyone who is learning English wants to succeed, but the sad reality is that most people will give up. And that includes you. But in this video I’m going to show you how to prevent that from happening, and become an unstoppable English learner.
Almost everyone who has tried to learn a language has heard of the CEFR, and in particular the six CEFR levels, which go from A1 to C2. The CEFR is used all over the world to teach, learn, and assess languages.
But how much do you really know about it?
In this video I’m going to show you why everything you know about the CEFR is probably wrong, and how this is damaging your language learning. By the end of this video you will have a new perspective that will give you confidence, and help you to get the level of English you want.
In this video, I’m going to show you a simple technique called rephrasing, that you can use to instantly help you to solve this problem, avoid embarrassing miscommunications, and communicate more fluently.

But if you do want to change your accent, or improve your pronunciation, how do you do it?
Recently I had the pleasure of talking to someone with expert answers to that question: Erik Singer, a dialect coach who helps film and television actors to speak with an accent that is not their native accent, and because of this he knows exactly what it takes mentally and physically to change the way you speak.
In this interview we talk about how to change your accent, the best ways to practice, but more importantly if and why you should try to ‘speak like a native’.

I know exactly how this feels! In fact this is why language is so exciting to me, because it is so big, and so complicated and just deeply human.
I have spent the past 10 years in the classroom trying to motivate students to do 1 simple thing, and it’s the trick to learning everyday English. Let’s get started.

Shana Poplack and her sociolinguistics laboratory at the University of Ottawa are known as the mythbusters, because they destroy damaging myths about language and language change.
They don’t look at language in its ideal state: they look at how language is used every day by real people, and the discoveries they make are often controversial, and fly in the face of deeply-held beliefs, but their discoveries are always based in truth.
