Summons like the Mimic Tear and Black Knife Tiche have sort of dominated the conversation around spirit ashes simply because of their sheer power as carry summons. This ends up overshadowing genuinely great spirit summons that are just as capable in a surprisingly high amount of situations. Elden Ring is also getting low-key boring lately due to the lack of replayability, so doing lower level playthroughs and using summons have actually been a little refreshing. I recommend it.

Elden Ring: 10x the Bosses, 10x the Fun! (Barely Salvageable)

Rusty. 2023-08-26 | My editor and I tried to put together an Elden Ring randomizer playthrough merged with my mod, “101 Sorceries”. Without realizing it, I accidentally checked a box that adds bosses to the regular pool of enemies, resulting in roughly 10x (probably more) the regular amount of bosses. After three hours of trying to make something work, we finally admitted that this playthrough was unsalvageable.

Elden Ring ► The Draconic Arsenal (Weapon Moveset Mod)

Rusty. 2023-08-05 | The Draconic Arsenal redeems some of the dragon-themed weapons in the game by giving them cooler movesets, more effects and practicality. Perhaps too much.

Weapons adjusted:
-Dragonscale Blade ► Dragon Knight's Scalesword
-Dragon Halberd ► Dragon Knight's Longaxe
-Dragon Greatclaw ► Dragonclaw Greathammer (now a greathammer, obviously)
-Dragon King's Cragblade ► Dragonlord's Lanceblade

All weapons have new TAEs which means nothing has been overwritten except their individual WAs. Dragonclaw has been changed to Barbaric Roar but the unique R2s for that WA have also been changed for this weapon.

A lot of sorceries tend to be multi-purposed damage just in different flavors, whereas incantations are much more isolated and focused around one specific purpose, making this list particularly difficult. Im Making Over 100 Sorceries For Elden Ring

Rusty. 2022-12-18 | This is a short preview of a magic overhaul Elden Ring mod I’m currently hyperfocusing on for some reason. This replaces every incantation in the game with a sorcery, resulting in almost 150 sorceries in total (there are 101 incantations).

Each sorcery class will have their own “personality” and aim to fulfill a specific role. This means some sorceries may outperform those in other classes, but might have their own utility or supportive measure to make it viable in other situations.

Glintstone: Basic damage class, mid to long range

Carian: Melee damage class, secondary support focused around magic defense & FP efficiency

Crystalian: Projectile-based damage class, secondary support focused around poise & physical defense

Cold: Close range status class, secondary damage weapon buffs & large area denial

Night: Stealth utility class that exploits enemy weakness, spells that set up unaware foes for high damage

Claymen: Buff-heavy support class, burst healing and various damage negation utility, secondary damage with defense & area denial

Gravity: Slow-recovery high damage class, area control utility, equip load & stancebreaking

Magma: Area control damage class, secondary support focused around fire defense & lifesteal

Thorn: Close range damage class, hemorrhage buildup utility, support focused around bleed resistance and HP efficiency

Death: Target-focused damage class, secondary status spells with frostbite resistance & weapon buffs

I also learned that standing in the rain increases your fire resistance. Freezing pots can cancel Malenia's waterfowl attack via insta-proc, and you can find 8 old fangs in Caria manor alone for crafting. Craftable and consumable items are some of the most versatile items in Elden Ring, and with the right knowledge, you can turn most of them into absolute game-changers. Except the glass shards. Those things are pretty useless.

Halberds in general I always found to be lacking in Elden Ring. Very few of them have anything that stands out about them, and even unique halberds tend to have weapon skills you can find elsewhere. The Black Halberd deserved to stand out a little more than it does, so I decided to attempt making it more fun to use while also being friendly to lore and balance.

This version of the Black Halberd replaces the Serpent-Hunter great spear in-game.
It also messes with bullet physics of the Erdtree Greatshield, although not enough to actually mess with the shield or the skill itself (I don't think).

Also, thanks Fromsoft for patching the game two days after I started recording, forcing me to start with a whole new seed in the process of updating everything. I took the opportunity to adjust a few settings, so now there should be a little more chaos, bosses more likely to be placed in weird/funny locations, key items moved, etc.
