For the non-linear setting, focus is shifted with a variable amount according to the rotation speed of the focus ring while focus is shifted with a designated amount according to the rotational quantum of the focus ring for the linear setting. Sensitivity (the amount of focus shift per rotational quantum) can be selected from 90 to 360 degrees by 30 degrees to enable intended focus operation. The LUMIX S 18mm F1.8 also excels in video recording performance with a mechanism that suppresses focus breathing, which was a fatal problem of all interchangeable lenses designed for still image photography. Together with a micro-step aperture control for smooth exposure change, professional quality video can be recorded.
With its approximately 340g compact size and light weight, the LUMIX S 18mm F1.8 features stunning mobility to fit the S5, LUMIX’s smallest full-frame model.

GH6 Firmware Ver.2.0 will be released on July 5th, 2022. It offers ProRes format, which makes PC load lighter during editing. LUMIX GH6 realizes high-quality and smart workflow while enabling smooth handheld shooting to especially support one-man operation or small video production.
[About GH6 Ver. 2.0] With the GH6 Ver. 2.0, the ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 HQ formats, which can be recorded internally, have been greatly expanded in addition to the support for raw video output over HDMI. High-resolution video at 5.7K 30p or slow-motion video at C4K 60p can be recorded as low-compression data of up to 1.9Gbps. You can also use the relatively light load C4K 30p or FHD to achieve both benefits of low compression modes and media capacity savings.

Go behind the scenes into the making of short film, Flowers, shot by cinematographer Olan Collardy on the LUMIX GH6.
“I was very impressed by how the LUMIX GH6 performed in the situations we put it through. The way it rendered colours and the skintones looked great. Supporting a meaty codec that is ProRes 422HQ @ 5.7K resolution is one of its strongest features as well as unlimited recording which is something you don’t find readily available on cameras in its range. The 13+ Stops of dynamic range were put to test in our day exteriors where we had a range of weather conditions from bright sunlight to rain drizzles, yet we were able to recover a lot of highlights and shadows in post; all done with available light and not even a bounce board! For our day interiors and night exteriors, I brought in some film lights and it was good to see the sensor perform well with sources such as HMI, LED and tungsten lamps. Being able to load my in-camera LUT on the GH6 meant I could see the world in a colour space I was used to and this greatly simplified my lighting and post-production workflow. It was also interesting to see how well the camera performed in a studio/production environment; pairing with wireless video systems, remote follow focus tools and external batteries which proves that once you look past the size and form factor of what looks like a stills camera, its sensor and modularity is something that allows for it to perform on a bigger scale and delivers great images.” – Olan Collardy

Short film, Flowers, shot by cinematographer Olan Collardy on the LUMIX GH6.
Flowers is an afro-futuristic fairytale of love, which follows a ceremony of a son being given away by his mother, to the world, to join his one true love. This whimsical story adopts references to classic Disney stories from the 1930s-50s, modernising tropes with realism for this coming of age tale. This film reclaims the magic of that time we all so familiar with: imagining what a black fairy-tale would look and feel like.

LEICA DG SUMMILUX 9mm (H-X09) is not only an ultra wide-angle lens with a large aperture but also an unparalleled lens that features exceptionally short focusing distance of 0.095m with an outstanding magnification ratio of 0.25x.
The combination of these exceptional capabilities makes it possible to exude subject’s presence in the sweeping background. It also boasts high descriptive performance and smooth, beautiful bokeh, clearing the stringent LEICA standards. It is suitable for use by professionals and high amateur users for both photo shooting and video recording.

By utilizing remote control with LUMIX Tether, LUMIX has contributed to reducing the number of people in the studio during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because all cameras can be remotely controlled the image quality, it is possible to respond immediately to studio environments where color and brightness change due to lighting and projection.
Comment from Mr. Jumonji, the director of "Scramble 107"
Shooting in the city at night went very smooth without overexposure and underexposure. In the dark scene, I am shooting with the high sensitivity at ISO 12800, but there was no noise that I was concerned about, and when I applied the LUT, the noise almost disappeared from black, and I felt it was beautiful and very smooth. Also, even with a PC connected by a LAN cable, there is little time lag in operation, and I realized that most operations are possible and can be used for various purposes.
