Today I'm going to teach you to create a map with multiple locations and totally custom styles.
This map can be shared or embedded on any website.
Markers can be added by searching via address or uploading a CSV spreadsheet.
You might need a map — and you might want to plot some markers on that map.
Then those markers might need a modal with notes, photos and even a button.
You might want to customize the marker, modal and map styles. And maybe even add search or tags for filtering.
Well if this sounds useful to you at all, I have the perfect tool. It's called Atlist.
And it was made by me and my cofounder Karl.
In this video I'll show you how to create your own map using Atlist.Introducing: TagsAtlist2023-08-15 | Today we're announcing our most requested feature for Atlist: Tags.

You might already know that Webflow has a map element that you can add to your website.
But it's super limited:
- One marker limit - No style options - No search - No modal pop-ups
In this video I show how to embed powerful, custom maps on Webflow.
We'll use Atlist to do this.
Our map will have custom styles, modal pop-ups and even search to find the nearest location.
Full disclosure I'm the cofounder of Atlist alongside my friend Karl. So we think it's a great tool but obviously we're biased.Introducing: ButtonsAtlist2023-06-28 | Atlist: atlist.com
For a long time on Atlist, you could add a Get Directions button to modals.
It was very simple.
You'd click the button and it'd give you directions to Google Maps.
But today we're introducing a BIG update to buttons:
- Buttons can now link to any URL - Button text is now editable - More button style options
Today we're going to build a store locator that can be embedded on any website — including CMS's like Wordpress, Squarespace and Wix.
Our store locator will have custom brand colors and search so that visitors can find the nearest store.
A store locator or a store finder is a feature designed to help users find a business's physical place(s) via markers/drop-pins on a map. These maps are typically embedded on the business’s website/app for convenience.
We'll use Atlist to build our store locator — a tool I co-created with my friend Karl.How to Style a Google MapAtlist2023-02-22 | Stylist — stylist.atlistmaps.com
Introducing Stylist: an easier way to create Google Map styles.
For a long time the way to create custom Google Map styles was to use Styles Editor — a tool by Google which I've used hundreds of times.
The thing with Styles Editor is that it's a little intimidating and it has a lot of options that most maps won't need to touch.
We built Stylist to be a simpler, easier to use way to create custom styles.
Stylist is not as powerful as Google's Style Editor — but that was never our goal. Our goal was to create an easier to use tool.

Google My Maps is pretty great. It let's you create maps with markers, shapes and routes. Plus you can measure areas.
But I often find Google My Maps does not have enough customization options — which means the maps it creates don't look that nice.

In this tutorial, we're going to start with a simple spreadsheet containing a bunch of addresses.
Then we're going to turn these addresses into a map where each address is plotted as a marker.
To do this we use our tool called Atlist (atlistmaps.com/?c=video_atlist_address_mapping).What is Gesture Handling? (Google Maps)Atlist2022-03-21 | Gesture handling is a Google Maps API option for how maps should react to mouse scrolling (desktop) or finger gestures (mobile).
This video walks through four different options: cooperative, greedy, auto and none.
Auto — 'Greedy' when in an iframe and 'Cooperative' when not.
Cooperative — No zoom or pan on scrolling. Two finger movements on mobile will zoom or pan.
Greedy — Zoom or pan on all touch and scroll gestures.
None — Disable the ability to pan and zoom the map.Quick Tip: Be Careful with Initial ZoomAtlist2022-03-14 | Setting an initial zoom is great but it can also cause problems. In this quick tutorial we explain what to watch out for when setting an initial zoom.Quick Tip: Customize The Embed CodeAtlist2022-03-14 | Did you know you can change the width and height of your Atlist embed code? In this quick tutorial we'll show you how.
There are two common units we can use for width and height attributes: pixels and percentages.
Pixels sets an exact size and percentages set a relative size.
Percentages are especially for maps on mobile — because the map shrinks to the size of the mobile viewport.New Atlist Features!Atlist2021-03-30 | Atlist: atlistmaps.com/?c=product_update
