Throwback Tuesday: President Halimah Yacob Visits the Virtual Choir Interlude NDPeeps 2022-06-14 | Last Tuesday, President Halimah Yacob visited the participants of the NDP 2022 Virtual Choir Interlude at Nee Soon Camp. During the visit, she observed the choir’s recording session and interacted with the participants as well. Sharing her thoughts on the visit, President Halimah said “I think it is good because it is an indication of how we integrate physical elements of the NDP with the virtual. At the same time, we also ensure inclusivity. Some participants are from SPED schools and we include them so that they are seen by all Singaporeans. I think that is how we generate support for persons with disabilities.”For the first time in NDP history, the Virtual Choir Interlude will be featured as part of the Parade and Ceremony segment during this year’s NDP celebrations at The Float @ Marina Bay on 9 August. They will be performing this year’s NDP theme song, “Stronger Together”, as a reminder to Singaporeans that our diversity is what gives us strength to face the challenges ahead together. Staying safe at NDP 2021 with August NDPeeps 2021-08-21 | Safety’s of utmost importance for all NDP 2021 participants - including August! 💪In addition to getting vaccinated and undergoing regular testing, performers have to adhere to strict Safe Management Measures, such as keeping cross interactions between groups at a minimum, and only on rehearsal grounds when necessary. The NDP 2021 Show Committee has also deployed personnel from the Singapore Armed Forces to ensure strict adherence to the Safe Management Measures on site amongst the various groups, such as performers, trainers and organisers.Let’s all do our part ❤️ #NDP2021 #TogetherOurSGSpirit
