Input System V3 For Double Speed Item Sorters ExperimentalIdea 2021-03-16 | A quick video on a new version of the input system for double speed sorters. This iteration improves space efficiency and hopper count while fixing the shulker unloading issues. There is still the issue of 64/16 stackables filters breaking which I’ve been unable to figure out the cause of. Still, I wanted to put this out there given it’s a rather big improvement over V2.0, V2.1, & V2.2. Lag Efficient Honey Farm for Minecraft 1.16+ ExperimentalIdea 2020-11-16 | Today I’m showing off two new honey farm slices, and what is at the time of making this video the most lag efficient honey farm design for Minecraft Java Edition 1.16.New honey farm slice designs lock the bottom hopper, saving up to 2 MSPT on my computer for a 1,728 beehive farm.The farm consists of six, 288 hive modules which each yield about 3,735~ honey bottles per hour. EndTech #2 - Starting Over ExperimentalIdea 2020-08-19 | On July 16th, 2020, the EndTech server was deleted accidentally when attempting to restore a backup. All of the backups were wiped in the process, no off-site backups were ever performed, and no one had ever downloaded the server files to their own computer. We managed to restore some of the data, such as the entirety of our creative server files. Unfortunately, most of the survival server was unable to be recovered.I myself wasn’t aware of the state of our backup “solution” until this event, up to this point I’ve actively avoided getting involved in the administration of the server, assuming things were all being handled properly. I can’t help but feel some level of fault on my part, even though it wasn’t me who made the mistake. I’m a trusted member on EndTech and at any point I could of gotten more involved. If I had, I know this event could have been just a minor inconvenience.That said, our community has shouldered the burden of this disaster together, and are taking steps to ensure that something like this can never happen again. Compact and Efficient Vine Farms (3,400/h & 2,500/h) [BROKEN IN 1.17+] ExperimentalIdea 2020-04-04 | UPDATE: As of 1.17, the mining speed of vines with shears has changed from 12 to 9 game ticks. This results in the player breaking their shears prematurely, preventing mining of any more vines. The simple solution for those who have already built this farm is to reduce the number of slices of vines the player can mine by at least 40 slices for each loop, possibly more if issues still occur. (2 loops on the 2.5k version / 4 loops on the 3.4k version) This will unfortunately negatively effect the rates of the farm.Showcasing two AFK vine farms for Minecraft Java Edition. The first one being a large farm that yields 3,400 vines per hour. The second one being a smaller one yielding 2,500 vines per hour. Something I didn’t cover in the video was my testing with even larger farms using haste beacons. You can find those test farms in the world download and one of them even hits 4,100 vines per hour. Composters – The Effect Certain Blocks Have On Hopper Performance ExperimentalIdea 2019-11-25 | Testing what effect putting certain blocks on top of hoppers has on server performance.All testing had been done before 1.15 had entered into the pre-releases. This is why tests were conduced in 1.14.4. (though I’d expect 1.15 to perform similarly in this testing scenario)Tests were all conducted on a local multiplayer server, running Minecraft 1.14.4 with CarpetMod, within a y0 glass floor world, with 70,000 empty hoppers, and no entities within the world. I stood in the same place each test and made sure all of the chunks around me were loaded before benchmarking. The server itself was restarted between testing each block.CarpetMod’s tick health and tick warp commands were used together to get the MSPT (Milliseconds Per Tick) results of block entities.
