Eternal Dreamland [AU] Blue24601 2023-02-11 | EW SpoilersStory: The night before the group goes to see Hydaelyn, Azena sneaks out to face her alone. She convinces Hydaelyn to merge with her and the two face Endsinger together after absorbing the Mothercrystal. However, it took too much from her and while she survives, she falls into an endless sleep. This breaks Fey and Astra, who are determined to wake her up at any cost. They start hunting down criminals to drain them of aether to give to her, and slowly but surely move on to anyone they can get their hands on. Leila goes to stop them, but is easily struck down and drained as well just as her brother Almeric shows up. Enraged, he moves to kill his former friends. He nearly loses, but Astra is too weak to go on and begs Fey to use the rest of her aether to give to Azena, hoping that will wake her up once and for all. Almeric takes Fey down.Hundreds of years later, Azena does manage to wake up to an unfamiliar world, and wanders around until she finds a familiar face. However, he blames Azena for the whole situation and in a fit of rage he kills her as well. And I've been editing them a lot, I've just... kept most of them unlisted. For this video specifically I was mostly practicing with Twixtor and with CMtools to get different angles and clips and try different things with NPCs/etc. I really wanted it to match the 'things aren't quite right' vibe and I'm really happy with how it turned out! Idk if I could really explain story-wise since I tried to make it more dreamlike, but the main girl is my OC Azena. She has a twin sister Fey (who belongs to Laurin) and they were tragically separated when they were young. She was adopted by two catgirls, K'yalie and M'aelynn (the OCs from my last video, belonging to myself and Rosie) until uh... they died tragically. (Azena killed them but long story.) The other three OCs in the video are Astra (who is Rosie's current OC) and then the siblings Leila and Almeric. (who belong to Tango!) We decided to go for a multi-WoL universe so all four girls fight crime together, essentially. Lightning and Balthier go to stop him, but it's too late and his attempts to bring Serah back only serve to twist him into a monster. Balthier hesitates because he's boo boo the fool, but Light knows that monsters have to be killed.

I think this is the first time I've ever actually used live-action footage and honestly it was fun as hell. This is one of my favorite movies ever - it just hits all the boxes for my aesthetic and it has a long ass ballroom scene and I adore ballroom scenes.

What I was trying to portray was something akin to... bitter nostalgia? It's kind of a twisting stomach, metallic-taste-on-your-tongue kind of bitterness when you remember certain people in your life that you dearly, dearly loved but that you know you never can or never should reconnect with. It's a feeling you compare new relationships to and then you fear that nothing will ever come close and then you just long for that lost person. Life is Strange is really awesome for that because of the parallels between Chloe's relationship with Rachel and Max. Soooo... yeah!
