She can vaguely remember a man that protected her and kept her safe, and so that's why she kinda latches onto Balthier and refuses to leave him alone.- Al-Cid's a creep and wants to sell her to pay off some debts, but Balthier's like "dude she's just a kid" and just decides to keep her around until he can find someone more trustworthy.- During the Feast of the Bride, Minfilia senses that something is very Wrong and ends up separated from Balthier when the ghosts show up and wreak havoc. But whatever he had planned is all for nothing, because Ultimecia successfully manipulates Snow into believing that Balthier is his enemy and deserves to be punished for all he's done.Themes:Redemption -- Balthier makes a really sorry attempt at redeeming himself. At least he tried. :c Maybe next time, bud.Good vs. Evil -- You've got Balthier and Ultimecia on Team Chaos, and Snow and Lightning on Team Cosmos. Except Balthier's not...
