UMLOOADTurning a wooden bowl is always a little adventure. This video is about turning a bowl in combination with some problem solving working with a workpiece with a lot of cracks and other imperfections. Unfortunately, defects in the wood often appear only during the turning with the result that the bowl becomes smaller and smaller. This time I went a different way. To get the desired shape of my bowl, I had to fill the gaps with inlace granules.

It's the component responsible for melting the filament to create 3D prints. Here's a quick breakdown:
Structure: It typically consists of a nozzle, a heater block, a thermistor (temperature sensor), and a heat break.
Function: The filament is fed into the hotend, where it's heated in the heater block to a specific temperature. Once melted, it's extruded through the nozzle onto the print bed.
Materials: Hotends can handle various filaments like PLA, ABS, PETG, and more. The type of material determines the temperature setting.
Maintenance: To ensure optimal printing, it's vital to keep the hotend clean and occasionally replace parts as they wear out or get clogged.

GCode commands Many GCode commands can be combined together to make the overall GCode more efficient and easier to read. Some examples of commonly combined GCode commands include: • G00 and G01: These commands are used to move the cutting tool to a specific position. G00 is used for rapid movement (i.e. the tool moves as quickly as possible), while G01 is used for controlled movement (i.e. the tool moves at a specified feed rate). These two commands can be combined to make the tool move quickly to a rough position, and then move more slowly to a precise position. • G17, G18, and G19: These commands are used to select the plane in which the machine will move. G17 selects the XY plane, G18 selects the XZ plane, and G19 selects the YZ plane. These commands can be combined to make the tool move in multiple planes. • G90 and G91: These commands are used to switch between absolute and relative positioning. G90 sets the machine to absolute positioning, while G91 sets the machine to relative positioning. These commands can be combined to make the machine move relatively in one axis and absolutely in another axis. • G0 and G1: These commands are used to move the cutting tool at a specific speed. G0 is used for rapid movement (i.e. the tool moves as quickly as possible), while G1 is used for controlled movement (i.e. the tool moves at a specified feed rate). These commands can be combined to make the tool move quickly to a rough position and then move more slowly to a precise position. • G2 and G3: These commands are used to move the cutting tool along an arc. G2 is used for clockwise arcs, while G3 is used for counterclockwise arcs. These commands can be combined to make the tool move along both clockwise and counterclockwise arcs.GCode and CNC Machining for CNC Router and 3D PrinterUMLOOAD2023-01-26 | #shorts #shortsvideo #shortvideo #cnc #cncmachine #workshop #woodworking Here is a short teaser for an upcoming video.Introduction to the CNC universe CAD, CAM, GCODE, GRBL and related tools with a Genmitsu 4030UMLOOAD2023-01-17 | Today I will be showing a CNC setup using my Genmitsu CNC and related hardware and software tools.

"Blender 3D Design modelling techniques of furniture handles and 3D-Printing", youtu.be/kIVusPbq-qw Description: Today we are talking about another design method mesh modeling based on a primitive shape. Our goal is to create a furniture handle that is milled into the wood. In this video I will show you how I proceeded, from the first design in Blender, to 3D printing, to milling out a pocket for the finished part with my Makita router. We will go through the most important steps.
I can roughly determine the following steps: -Preparation of the modeling environment -Selecting and creating the basic 3D object or primitive shape that will be used for modeling. -Model and modify the mesh geometry to create a new model with it. -To save time, the Mirror Modifier can be used and for this the model must be cut in half beforehand. -Finish the model to remove holes or errors in the geometry. -Preparation of the model for 3D printing -Export of the model into a 3D surface model of the model shell in the form of an STL file -Import the model into a slicer program, e.g. Cura -slicing the model and saving it as a Gcode file with the control information for the 3D printer and it concludes with the steps - 3D printing and - Use of the finished 3D printed object. What is this? A Blender 3D made tool for the pool - fun project - design study for 3D printing
I want to show with this video some advantages of Blender when it comes to designing 3d objects. With Blender we have the possibility to combine the artistic approach and CAD working techniques. Today's episode is about 3D design and modeling with Blender. Despite the rather playful example, there are some requirements that need to be considered. The model should be able to be 3D printed, it should be able to be broken down into parts for easy printing, and it should have round and flowing shapes that you can't hurt yourself on.

After I have now worked almost three years with a mini woodturning lathe it was now time for a new larger lathe. I decided to buy a more “midi sized” lathe model, because I have little space in my workshop. Nevertheless, I wanted to have large center height, as much as possible and if possible a swiveling headstock. Because I got a good offer from Neureiter in Kuchl, I bought the machine from Neureiter and now I start to get familiar with this (big) upgrade of my workshop.

Description: This video is all about carving a bowl out of a solid piece of apple tree wood, using Arbortech power tools. I´m using the the Arbortech TurboPlane for the most time, the Arbortech Ball Gouge for some detail work and hand tools for the final details.
The basic design idea was to carve a bowl with some type of a natural organic shape. Doing so, I followed the wood shape and the grain structure during the carving. Finally I added some stylized acanthus shapes to the corners.
The video shows the individual working steps and shall give you a good impression what you can expect by using the mentioned tools in your projects.

In today's video I would like to show you a short example how to print in fusion 360 on a 1:1 ratio. This is useful, if you want to printout a workpieces with fusion which is larger than the fusion drawing paper sizes. Especially if you have to work on larger work pieces, with more complex shapes, a 1:1 printout can be very helpful. Here is an example from my longboard build, where I used the printout to have a template to cut the shape, for drilling holes and other working steps, based on the print. In this example I glued the print on the surface of the plywood boards. Then I worked on the basis of the drawing, but more about this later on. In this video I show my approach with Fusion 360, I design a longboard shape and prepare the model for a 1:1 printout using DIN A4 paper format size. Fusion supports drawings up to DIN A0 (1189 to 841mm) paper format size. As long as your work piece fits into one of the provided paper formats, your live is much easier. You can use this paper format for the drawing. Then generate the PDF in and slice the printout with your PDF software to a suitable print size that is defined by your printer setup. Always make sure that no scaling is set in the printer options for the printout.

This is the second part of the "Build a Raised Garden Bed" episode. The first part was about the construction and the woodwork and about the preparation of the individual wooden parts. In this part we will assemble the raised bed, fill it and plant the first time. As I showed in part 1, my basic design based on 4 posts and some douglas fir wood profiled boards for the side walls. I choosed douglas wood, because it is more resistent to decay if used outside. As you will see later in the video I will use a drainage mat to separate the wooden walls from the wet soil in the raised bed.

If you are looking at this video, you might already know the advantages of a raised garden bed, but for those that do not know what it is, here´s a short summary. A raised garden bed or simply “raised bed” is a large planting container that sits on the ground. The container is filled with soil and plants and has no bottom or top. Beside several other advantages, on important point is, that it is easier to maintain. Because of a composting process inside, the bed creates a micro climate that supports the growth of the plants. Due to it´s construction it keeps out critters and slugs and you will also have fewer weeds or grass between your plants.
