As more Korean players are reaching the tip of the available content, a few concerns and debates are being raised about end game, monetization, and whether the game is pay to win.Lost Ark offers an incredible experience and blows a lot of the competition out of the water. Lost Ark Open Beta Gameplay Impressions English KineticGTR 2018-12-11 | I have a rough estimate to what ilvl my gear should be and when I'd likely get a party for this next Guardian. After a couple runs on Urnil and a good legendary quality earring drop, I thought I'd take a chance and try and get a party for the next Guardian in line, Frost Regioros!The Third Guardian 빙결의 레기오로스 Frost Regioros Tier 1 difficulty is a HUGE step up in difficulty from Urnil and Lumerus. It was kind of disappointing facing Urnil who seemed to be even easier than Lumerus and then BOOM, Regioros turns up the heat...or in this case freezer burn and turns out to be quite challenging to fight, especially for melee.I've made a few upgrades and adjustments to my build for better performance so this is good practice for the harder fights to come. Tier 1 started easy with the first two guardians but is quickly ramping up in difficulty. My experience with ARPGs like Diablo and Monster Hunter are paying off for sure in Lost Ark Guardian Raids!I've been taught the secret (not really) to syncing with parties in the same room or town instance. Ctrl+right click on the party leader and click the 3rd clickable option down (looks like the 4th option, top isn't clickable) will merge you with the party. Then you're good to go!Getting invited to or starting a raid group in Lost Ark got a lot easier thanks to the new looking for party board. Active, but not overly difficult and a good primer to understanding what to expect from other Guardians and from higher Tiers of difficulty.Getting invited to or starting a raid group in Lost Ark got a lot easier thanks to the new looking for party board. Examining the board shows a list of all the open parties you can join, or start your own and choose who to allow into the party based on the criteria you're looking for in members.Also, it seems some people are determined to ruin my fun and videos by flagging them for copyright. 1 video has now been successfully blocked worldwide and I'm investigating who and why this is happening. I've good reason to believe this is not Yumyum from Twitch, but an imposter and part of a fringe group of Korean gamers that hate to see foreign gamers players in the game and making content. Mech Raid! - Lost Ark Hard Mode Dungeons - Open Beta Gameplay Impressions English KineticGTR 2018-11-22 | The Heart of Krater, Mech Raid, Mech Warfare, whatever you want to call it is by far my favorite dungeon in Lost Ark so far. It's unlike anything else with it's crazy futuristic design and even lets you drive mech vehicles! The end boss is also quite challenging and you'll need to pay close attention to your surrounding and "telegraphs" that give away when the boss is about to unleash a deadly attack on your party!This is one of those dungeons that makes playing Lost Ark such a memorable experience! It's recommended you form a party of FOUR players that know what they're doing, can execute their skills properly, and all agree to skip cutscenes...Yeah this went all wrong didn't it lol I still can't believe we did this with 3!This is one EPIC dungeon though. There are multple cutscenes to watch that make for a fun and story rich journey while you fight crazy swarms of enemies. Real Reason Lost Ark is Region Locked? Plus Berserker Warrior Dungeon Gameplay KineticGTR 2018-11-13 | I'm still noticing a lot of people around the web asking the same question "Why is Lost Ark region locked to Korea only?" Especially after today when a big ban wave (technically not a ban) hit a large number of players today including many big YouTube content creators and Twitch streamers. So why is the game region locked and their forcing resets to deny non-Korean players from playing the game? The answer is simple, China. If you've played a few MMOs, you know what I mean. China is MMO cancer and their bots will swarm in on a popular game to try and establish a real money trading business. This causes server problems, chat spam advertising gold, and often cause the ingame market to quickly inflate and make it difficult to afford items. I've seen it as far back as Final Fantasy XI and their influence was devastating for years until SquareEnix finally started to fight back and ban hundreds and thousands of accounts. Once the bots and gold farmers were getting banned, the state of the game improved greatly and saved the game imo.Lost Ark now is the biggest and explosively popular MMORPG to hit the market in years. It's only open beta, but already they can be seen running bots and the server queue times have increased dramatically over the past few days. In the interest of protecting the game and providing the best experience for Korean players, a Stove access reset was initiated forcing everyone to verify they are infact Korean. The intention wasn't simply to ban non-Korean streamers (who were break Terms of Service anyway), but to try and improve the experience for Korean players by denying access especially to Chinese gold farmers and their hundreds, perhaps thousands of accounts. I'm saying this because too many people are lashing out at Smilegate for this when they are doing exactly what they should be doing. By locking the region and forcing reverification, it protects and cleanses the servers of Chinese bots, makes queue times shorter, and protects the players from the corruption of real money trading activity. Of course they'll come back with new accounts and better bots, but as long as Smilegate keeps fighting, their influence should be minimal.
