When Regius gets to solid ground outside of the building, he notices that there are “statues” of people walking around, into, and out of it. Upon closer inspection, it seems that each person is blurred in time, perhaps frozen in multiple moments of time at once.Inside the building is a tech lab. Regius follows the shards in the void until he reaches a gigantic room with many frozen technicians in it. Some are wearing Oris military uniforms. There are some in Providence militia garb as well. Maybe a joint operation? Hard to confirm if they are legitimate uniforms.The shards connect at the center of a multi-story-tall device. Because of your support over the last year, my music caught the ear of someone working on a high octane retro shooter. No, they aren’t from id software, I’m not quite at that skill level just yet. Actually I accepted a role on the team of Viscerafest and while I have said no to a number of other game opportunities that have come my way, this one was a perfect fit and I’m gonna tell you why. First, it’s already early access and some of the soundtrack has already been done by a fantastic composer named Markie. As you know, I’ve done lots of standalone music but not a lot of stuff that goes into a game, so starting completely from zero, even for me, would be challenging. Instead, I’m lucky enough to explore how things have already been done and in fact Markie is still on the team in a less involved capacity so I can learn from an expert. This year I’ll be tackling the majority of music for chapters 2 and 3 of the game, which is gonna be a lot, but I’m excited.Second, some of you know that I’m a sucker for great design, artwork, and story and when the Viscerafest lead Noah gave me his vision, I was hooked. Since the game is already downloadable I knew it played nice, but the extra details pushed me over the edge.
