Here I make the argument that the Bible is agnostic concerning the age of the Earth. The primary argument is that Gen 1:1-2 shows that there is preexisting matter before day one. Matt's arguments largely were focused around the first day of the six days of creation being an absolute beginning with nothing before it. If one follows the genealogy of Adam till today then you can see that the Bible is clear about the age of the Earth. Happy listening. When he was 16 years old he began attending the McCallie School for Boys. In 1998 Travis began working on his PhD in philosophical theology at Westminster Theological Seminary, writing his dissertation on the relationship between divine foreknowledge and human freedom. He received his PhD in 2004. Dr. Campbell is currently a teacher of history and comparative religion at Deerfield-Windsor School.
