The idea for this came when my best friend and I were listening to my Sou Hiyori Playlists and "Confrontation" from Jekyll and Hyde came on. I always found that it fit the characters and since I also like voicing them, it just made sense! It was honestly very fun. ^^The art came from a very similar sketch I once drew in my sketchbook. Why reinvent what I had already thought of ones XD So yes, I just took that sketch and made it into a digital full version for the tumbnail. My trip to Galacon 2024 FireArt Productions 2024-08-10 | As every year, I went to Galacon! This time was truly special, because I got to go with my best friend @MelodySnowflakeVA!! This is not a song I thought I would ever have the chance to do, but it makes me even more happy that I did. "The Pheonix" is one of my favourite songs of all time. Fall Out Boy really outdid themselves with this one, haha.The occasion that got me to record for this Cover was a call in my discord server in february (2024) this year. My friend @LittleOwl2003 wanted to hear me sing it, after I told him how much I like the song (or something like that. I can't completly remember the conversation. Point is that we both really dig this song and that I took it as a challenge to cover it XD).I actually finished the mix just one or two days after that call and was able to show it to him. Getting the Cover out there was a different tale though. Since I don't think this is something people really expect me to do and I plan with a lot of covers where other people are involved, it took me some time to find the right moment to post it.Drawing the art for this was fun. I sketched how I wanted it to look in class (the best ideas always come in school, I guess XD) and then finished it digitally. I thought I would be faster with the doves, since I already drew quite a few for my let's play of Hatoful Boyfriend, but it still took a bit. (Almost imagined this was Sakuya and Yuuya...haha)I was a little torn between drawing my human oc or fire pony oc for this. Ended up with the human one, since it makes me feel more like I am having a cool moment in this video and not just a character I created. I don't know if this makes sense...One last thing I want to say about this song. I always imagine it with an amalgamate animatic in my head. (A Danganronpa Fanfic, in case you don't know Amalgamate). Crooked Beetles did an awesome job with the art and showing Celestias struggle with banishing Luna to the moon. The sisters story is one of my favourites in mlp, which is made clear by the two animatics I have made being about those two, haha.As for my art it's not anything special. This time we got something truly special! A Cover of the song "Nightmares" from @StaticP, but sung by Kanna and Sou from the game "Your Turn To Die"! Thanks to Static-P for making such amazing music. I would probably cover a ton of them, if I had the time. XDFrom when I first heard this specific song I connected it to Kanna and Sou x2. It just fits the greenblings too well. Since I recently got my bestie @MelodySnowflakeVA into the game and she - like me - enjoys these characters a lot, it was clear what to do! We put a lot of effort into this Cover beginning with mixing and especially the video editing took it's time. I just wanted this to look real good, okay? I had to! Honestly love how it turned out. ^^My art program really got used a lot for this. Not just when it comes to the full artwork displayed in the thumbnail and chorus, but also for the clap in the end or the bunnies (which are btw. the plush bunnies from the pink room, but alive!). It's a really good anime and I can recommend it to anyone. The night I sat down to record for this, I was feeling a bit lonely and this song just really spoke to my heart at that point. Maybe it's just because it talks about ones own fire so much, haha. It is kinda ironic that the character in the show that sings it is called Angela, since that is actually my real name too. So it kinda fit both me as Fire and as Angela...Tried to keep the artwork in show style. It was interesting to try to recreate it, though I feel like I just couldn't make it look as pretty. Something about the colors or the eyes. Same with the song. I don't think I did bad, but the original is much prettier. Was difficult to sing it.
