Flare Top Gift Box Christmas Paper craft Tutorial Christmas Gift Ideas Rejoice and Create 2020-12-05 | This is a replica of a box a friend received, and she graciously sent pictures and measurements so I could create some, because the flare top and size of the box was very useful! Starting with two pieces of 7 1/2" by 11" card stock, and four pieces of patterned paper that are 3" by 3", you can create this useful box, too! I sized the mats so I could get all four from one 6x6 paper, but if you want a smaller border and are using larger paper, you could go 3 1/4" by 3 1/4". Just a little creativity in scoring and cutting allows you to easily create this unique box. The size of the box is a 3 1/2" cube, and it will fit many gifts. Fold-Flat Gift Bags-Great Size for Goodies and Gifts-Use your Stash-Easy Origami Rejoice and Create 2020-11-21 | Fold Flat Gift Bags Galore from 12" by 6" patterned paper, done in origami style to fold flat. This is not my original idea, it is an easy origami fold. Or, should I say, a scoreboard assisted origami fold. Actually, I cut a 1/2" strip off, and used it on some of the bags as a handle, so the actual paper was 11 1/2" by 6" to create the bag. These go pretty quickly, will store flat, and are 3 1/2" wide, by 2" deep, by 4 3/4" tall, so there is A LOT you can fit into them, from goodies to gifts! I created several fall themed bags for our Thanksgiving table, and to give to others in my friend circle. #CCAY 2020 My Christmas Cards and How I Send Them Rejoice and Create 2020-10-31 | It is the last Saturday, which means it is time for Christmas Crafting All Year! This month I have been working on my Christmas Cards. The cards we send always reflect the true meaning of Christmas, The Nativity of Our Lord. I created simple cards for my family and friends, and knowing they have to be mailed, they created without a lot of dimension. I like the send a Christmas note, and 8 1/2" by 11" one-sided patterned paper is great to write a note. I create a general hello on my computer, then send the paper through and print it on the white side, making sure to leave room to hand-write a personal message.I also like to include an updated picture of our family, especially when we have not had the chance to travel to see family. So, I package all of these together in a cute pocket that I created using card stock and paper from my stash. I found some patterned Christmas paper, and matched some 12x12 card stock to it, and then created some fun pockets to hold all of my greetings, and fit in a 6"x9" envelope, which is the largest size you can send with a first class postage stamp. A Window Treat Box Inspired by Dunkin’ Paper Craft Tutorial Rejoice and Create 2020-10-17 | A sweet treat box inspired by the Dunkin’ munchkin box but adapted to a 12x12 card stock. You don't have to make the window, but if you do, a label-style punch with ~2" width can make it very easy, or you can die cut or cut by hand with a ruler and blade or scissors. This makes a cute box for homemade goodies, you just want to line with with parchment or wax paper, or place the goodies into a food-safe bag. It is a fun, and compact, way to give a "countdown" activity to someone special. The outside makes a nice decoration, or Advent Wreath. Inside, there are 24 boxes that are 1 1/4" cubes, and a bigger, 2 5/8"x 2 5/8"x 2" box for God's Greatest Gift: Baby Jesus for the Nativity. The countdown box is from a 12x12, the lid is from a 7x7, and there are two smaller squares for stability at the base. Each daily, countdown box is from 5 1/2" by 3", so you can make two from a 6x6, or eight from a 12x12. Goldfish Cracker Treat Holder for Kids or Coworker Encouragement Rejoice and Create 2020-08-15 | Here is quick treat holder for Goldfish crackers in single serving packs. It would be fun for kids favors, coworker RAKs, or just some encouragement to share.I used a 4 1/2" by 12" piece of card stock, and was able to get two per 12x12. If you go narrower, the corners of the package stick out, and it bothered me. If it does not both you, try 4" width, and then you can get three per 12x12. The stamp sets I used for the encouragement were: SweetNSassyStamps.com "Be encouraged 2" (both 1 and 2 are great sets) and a retired SU Hostess set: "Make A Splash". But, you could always use your computer to print up a sentiment the size and style you would like, then print on card stock if you are making a bunch at once.After I finished, I thought of hand drawing one or more Christian Fish on a 2 3/4" circle, with the sentiment "Duc in Altum", (Cast out into the deep), what Our Lord told Peter to do, that resulted in an overwhelming catch. More Fun Projects with Pocket Journal Cards Rejoice and Create 2020-07-04 | Here is another fun project that can be made with leftover pocket journal cards: adorable Milk Carton Baskets! I am using up some supplies, but if you don't have any, just cut paper or card stock you like to size! The basket uses on 4" by 6" card, and the milk cartons are made with a 4" by 3" card, or take a 4x6 and cut it in half. The cartons are 7/8" square at the base, and the "shoulders" are 1 1/2" tall. Teeny Treat Bag with Decorated Dollar Tree Label Clip Rejoice and Create 2020-05-22 | Here is a quick and adorable teeny treat bag that was created to fit a chalkboard label clip from Dollar Tree. My mom sent me three packages, so I had 12 clips to play with, and what better than to create some cute and quick "pick me ups" for anyone! They fit two Hershey's nuggets (it is plump, one would work, too!) three Hershey's kisses, a lindt truffle, or a couple of hard candies.It only takes a piece of patterned paper 3" by 6", mine came from my scrap bin, but you could use up some 6x6 or 12x12. Then, I just punched and stamped some sentiments, and embellished with punchies from my scrap bin or extra embellishments. Have fun! If you don't have these labels, just punch a 2" by 1 1/4" ish shape from card stock, embellish that, and then attach to any clip you may have. Quick & Easy Treat Favors from Pre-made A2 Card Bases Great for Mothers Day Rejoice and Create 2020-05-09 | Here are some quick tent-style favors from pre-made card bases that are 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" (opened 5 1/2" by 8 1/2") They are easy to make with a scoreboard and a 1” circle punch. The addition of a scalloped circle or flower punch that is around 1 3/4" with a solid center will make it quick, but you can make these without any additional punches. Note that some card bases are more flimsy than others, and the stiffer ones will hold the candies better, but even the other ones can make fun favors, you just may need to place a glue dot to hold the candy to the bottom and back of the favor tent. Also, you don't have to punch a hole in the front, I just liked the look of the candy popping out the front where the flower center would be. #CCAY2020 Reindeer Treat Box from Dollar Tree Magnetic Container Rejoice and Create 2020-04-25 | This is the last Saturday of the month, so it is time for a Christmas project! I know many of us are still staying at home, but Dollar Tree is considered an essential business, so if you can get out, you may be able to get a few of these plastic, magnetic containers. They come in a few colors, are about 3 3/4" diameter, and fit five Lindt truffles or similar-sized candy. I wrapped the container with a 3/4" by 12" strip of patterned paper, and because I was creating a hanging version, I mounted that strip on a card stop strip for strength. Then, two more 3/4" by 12" pieces of paper made the antlers, because in the reindeer world, both the males and females have antlers. I have had fun seeing wonderful Christmas crafting projects, and anyone can join in just by using the #CCAY2020.This folder has been around for a bit, I first saw the video by Mary at Cardz TV with Mary.I tweaked mine just a bit, because I don't always punch holes very well, and wanted to make sure I did not puncture the hot cocoa pouch. Easy pockets from Leftover Card Bases, Nesting Dies and Scraps -Quick! Rejoice and Create 2020-02-24 | Today's project uses left-over card bases, oval and circle nesting dies, and scraps from your scrap bin to create whimsical, colorful pockets for gift cards, seed packets, tea or coffee or flattish candy treats. I needed a quick pocket to give some seed packets, and had a couple of card bases sitting on my craft table next to the stitched nesting dies from Stampin' Up!. So, I just grabbed some scraps from my scrap bin, cut out a bunch of different shapes, and made a pocket with the card bases, both portrait and landscape. It was rather fun, so I grabbed some more card bases from my stash, ones where the color or pattern was not one I would use, and turned them "inside out" to make the pockets. Heart Die Pocket Tea Bag or Treat Holder for Valentines, RAKs & more! Rejoice and Create 2020-01-11 | The heart dies make this easy, but you could also cut and trace a heart "window pocket" to hold a treat or tea bag. Great for Valentine's Day or just RAKs, these come together pretty quickly from a piece of patterned paper (heavier) or card stock that is 8 1/2" by 4". Or, adjust your size to accommodate your treat or tea bag.I use a beautiful stamp set from Divinity Designs (divinitydesignsllc.com) and two sets of nesting heart dies, one is scalloped, to create this quick project. Both are Umbrella Dies that I purchased from Scrapbook.com. If you don't have a heart die, just create a heart the size you need for your treat, and use it as a template to trace and cut.
