West 916 dimple lock pick and gut. Feralshooter 2021-05-24 | Pick and gut video of a West 916. This lock has had its face removed prior to picking so that gutting can be controlled. If you’d like to see a gut (disaster) with the face plate attached, watch my video link below. These Japanese, kaba style dimple locks have two rows of 6 pins in staggered, opposing rows. Filled with security pins including spooled key pins, as well as excellent tolerances and an overmilled core make these a challenging but fun lock to pick. This was my second time filming as the first was a disaster. Meroni Luccotto ...padlock?? Feralshooter 2021-05-21 | A look at a padlock with an interesting format. It has a pretty basic 7 pin tubular core. I was unable to use an impressioning tool but picking is pretty simple with pins binding in a consistent order and staying set once there. No security pins. Perhaps some different springs but the lock can’t be gutted.
An Tun bead key lock picked and gutted Feralshooter 2021-05-16 | Pick and gut of an An Tun lock using an unusual key design. This lock has 3 rows of pins for a total of 12 stacks, however has no security pins and is fairly trivial to pick. Decent tolerances but only enough to aid picking, not make it more difficult. Still a cool one for the collection.
Solon Super-Lock Company “Nix Pix” cam lock picked and gutted. World first public pick? Feralshooter 2021-04-10 | A kinda long video about a super rare lock. These have an interesting locking mechanism with similarities to Bramah locks and some other obscure locks like thirard cobra. The keys and locks are user reprogrammable to about 65000 combinations. Exceptionally good tolerances and the unusual design of the elements makes this a fairly pick resistant lock that would stump most novice pickers. The wafers act like tapered pins. Really neat lock. Comp X Turbine lock picked (world first public pick?) Feralshooter 2020-12-24 | Picking a Comp X Turbine lock. These are sold as petrol pump locks and are a little unusual. It’s a fairly high security tubular lock with strange warding and almost certainly containing tapered pins designed to stump attempts at picking. Tensioning is probably the hardest part if you understand how the pins behave.

FAB NZS 3A picked Feralshooter 2020-12-06 | Pick of a non guttable FAB NZS 3A This lock is currently being ranked. I believe it’s around red belt level. While not a fast pick, learning the tricks of this lock as well as the individual traps it has does take some time.
ALC Galaxy lock picked Feralshooter 2020-11-29 | Pick video of an ALC galaxy lock. A totally unique lock that I still don’t really understand. Unfortunately they can’t be taken apart and are quite rare and expensive so it’s hard to properly investigate. Not a difficult pick once you have made the tool however that requires some fine tuning if you’re going in blind. Hopefully this can save you some trouble.
Pollux 7000 (French) picked Feralshooter 2020-11-25 | Pick of a Pollux 7000 lock. This was my second attempt at filming as in the first I tried to gut the lock and spent a lot of time finding out it can’t be gutted. French Izis lock pick and gut. (World first public pick?) Feralshooter 2020-11-20 | Pick and gut of a rare French Izis lock. These are really cool and as simple as they are, really a challenge to pick open. The tapered spools prevent you from being able to set a pin as others bind the moment you unbind it. The tapers are so long that you inevitably need to spend a long time consecutively pushing pins to get them to finally all reach shear.
Miwa DS wafer lock pick and full gut Feralshooter 2020-11-18 | Pick and gut of a miwa DS wafer lock followed by the destructive gutting of another core to examine the wafers in detail. What belt do you give it? Don’t be fooled, if you get tension wrong or overset wafers you can be stuck for a while. It’s also easy to catch the “spools” and they don’t really give much indication they need work. They key to this lock is tension imo.
Bilock (Australia) 12 pins and 2 sidebars picked (fake) Feralshooter 2020-11-11 | A video demonstration I made to make people aware of what can be inside a bilock as well as why fully gutting a lock is important if you want to prove you picked it. I’m not saying anyone cheated (except me - I definitely cheated) but I’ve seen more than one video like this.
Caniss tubular pagoda (?) padlock picked. Feralshooter 2020-11-11 | Picking a Caniss brand “top security” padlock with a really cool key. I know very little about this lock but as crappy as it is I still like it.
Solex D45 “double key” padlock picked. Feralshooter 2020-11-10 | Pick of a solex d45 padlock. These use a double bladed key that is reminiscent of a bilock. They utilise two rows of pins from the top. The padlock isn’t guttable unfortunately but it is quite pretty and seems well made. Shame about the core...
Unknown dimple padlock picked Feralshooter 2020-11-10 | Picked and attempted to gut a padlock I won off eBay on behalf of a friend. While no doubt physically tough, the core left a bit to be desired. A new core could make this a decent padlock. It turns out the internal housing had cracked in two spots, allowing the side parts to come loose. Perhaps someone did try to hammer it. Interesting that this still wouldn’t allow you to remove the shackle though.
Titanium thermal conductivity experiment Feralshooter 2020-10-25 | Not exactly scientific. I think the video shows well enough what I was testing. The end I was holding ended up at about 70 to 80 degrees C by my estimation. The tip was probably near 800.
Supra - C Title lock boxes picked open Feralshooter 2020-10-24 | Picking a pair of supra title realtor lock boxes. These were used to keep keys on site for all of the agents working for a particular realtor. Each realtor had their own title.
French HFS Profalux cam lock picked Feralshooter 2020-10-20 | Pick and gut of an unusual French tubular type lock. As I said in the video I’ve filmed this lock three times now. Australian Hot Dog Lock picked Feralshooter 2020-10-18 | Pick and look at a rare Australian Hot Dog Lock. I did try to gut the lock previously but it doesn’t seem possible without doing something irreversible. See previous part about “rare”. Not difficult to pick but it’s easy to trap oversets and some pins bind very tightly. Others require multiple sets so may be tapered or bevelled.Not a hard lock to pick at all but something different.
Pfaffenhain Integral picked and admired. Feralshooter 2020-10-13 | I couldn’t figure out how to get this lock apart to gut it and it wasn’t important enough to me to try harder. It’s definitely guttable somehow so I can’t take an credit for picking it but I thought it was interesting and cool enough to be worth sharing. It’s a hybrid pin tumbler and dimple lock. It feels like there are 7 top pins and 5 side pins. I said 4 in the video but the key shows 5 dimples. Not a particularly hard pick but still something you don’t see every day.
Ziess Ikon WSW (W10) Picked and gutted Feralshooter 2020-09-28 | Pick and gut of a Ziess ikon wsw lock. These have 6 pins on top of the keyway with some security drivers, as well as a total of 7 sprung sliders controlling 2 seperate sidebars. They have very good tolerances and force you to constantly reset sliders that drop as you set others. Bricard Super Surete picked Feralshooter 2020-09-22 | Pick of a bricard super surete lock. This lock is not guttable without destroying it and it’s quite rare so I’m unable to show the internals. This is particularly unfortunate as I have no real idea what they comprise of. There are definitely 3 bitting surfaces. The elements feel like levers or wafers but the feedback isn’t as direct as with most wafer locks. If you know anything about these I’d love to hear in the comments
Bricard Boctout picked Feralshooter 2020-09-18 | Pick of a non guttable Brichard Boctout monoblock. These have a series of springless wafers on both sides of the top and bottom of the keyway for a total of 4 bitting surfaces. Unfortunately I couldn’t find further information on these locks. Really a simple pick if a little time consuming due to the lack of feedback and well as the way the wafers need to be progressively set.
Abloy classic cam lock pick and gut Feralshooter 2020-09-06 | Pick video of an Abloy classic cam lock. I’m just learning to pick DD locks so don’t have much knowledge to share. The pick is a 3D printed silver bullet with home made classic tips.

Miwa magnetic cam lock picked and gutted. Feralshooter 2020-08-23 | Pick and gut video of a Miwa magnetic cam lock. If it has a belt I’m not aware. These locks have 3 magnetic sliders that are sprung to sit outside the core in cylinder recesses. There is no physical access to them from the keyway. The key contains magnets that draw the sliders into the core. The magnets are arranged so that locks can be keyed differently. I ramble a bit but it’s an interesting lock. I call it an evva at the end. It’s definitely miwa.
Nemef euro cylinder opened with rotary pick Feralshooter 2020-08-23 | This was made as an entry to a competition held by Texas Locksmith PLS Drill from discord. Cylinder is a Nemef 5 pin euro that was very sticky anyway.
Medeco pick and gut Feralshooter 2020-05-08 | Pick and gut of a 6 pin Medeco original mortice cylinder. Actually more fun than I expected. I spent maybe 3 hours on progressive pinning this lock and this was my second attempt at fully pinned. Mul-T-lock MT5+ pick and gut Feralshooter 2020-04-30 | Pick and gut of an MTL MT5+. These are high security locks with 5 pin in pin chambers, a 6th high lift pin, and 5 sliders with false gates controlling an active sidebar. This is the highest security lock made by Mtl. The pins aren’t hard to pick but the sliders make this a formidable lock.Sorry I had my thumb in the way for most of the pick. OpenClose up 11:08
Dom Saturn pick and gut. Feralshooter 2020-04-10 | Pick and gut of a Dom Saturn. These are a 10 pin, 2 row dimple lock with finned pins and a high lift interactive element. Filled with security pins. It’s quite a fun pick compared to its “easier” ix10kg predecessor due to the feedback from the spools. Sorry for the lack of commentary. Fichet 484 pick and partial gut Feralshooter 2020-03-31 | Pick and partial disassembly of a fichet 484. This lock has 4 bitting rows that contain 10 levers that control 2 independent sidebars. Each lever also contains false gates. These locks are usually not guttable non destructively, but I bought one that had already been cut so filmed it in order to be able to show the internals. This required something to support the core so I used a brass plumbing fitting I had in the garage. Evva Dual pick and gut Feralshooter 2020-03-28 | Picking and gutting of an Evva Dual slider lock for black belt submission. This is a 12 slider lock with 2 independent sidebars. The sliders all have multiple false gates and are spring loaded. I found this lock to be far more difficult than the 3ks to pick. This video was made for belt submission purposes not entertainment.
