Skeletal Shenanigans - Duo w/@YoReid @AirzGD

Airz We're back with another banger, this level originally started out as a level swap YEARS ago and we never got to finishing it. One day, YoReid was scrolling on Newgrounds and found Slash Inferno then IMMEDIATELY all of the ideas started rushing to him and he proposed we remake the level and I agreed. We planned to make it for the contest on DAY 1.

This was sooooo fun messing with people in @JamAttack's discord server. There was an abundant amount of people who made jokes about "oh imagine if Skeletal Shenanigans was a jam gauntlet creator contest entry", YoReid and I were constantly joking around saying "oh it could be, teehee..." but NO ONE CAUGHT ON? Funny enough, JamAttack accidentally leaked that this was for the contest on stream one time so there was one person who knew but was basically the boy who cried wolf LOL

YoReid definitely carried me here with an unheard of amount of motivation for this project, hopefully he gets the mythic he deserves. This is an unusual type of collab though as it's not like we both had our individual parts, we both worked on each part doing our own designs and our own improvements, and honestly this fit with the spirit of the original level swap.

This level was for sure a learning experience for me, such as learning YoReid's design principles and how he ABUSED (over 2,000) keyframes for this level (something I've never seen done before and this will probably start a trend in the community.) Even though my laptop sucks and it was hard to build on this because of how big of a project it is, this was still so fun and I really enjoyed making this with him.

to lazy to write my own description so heres YoReid's LOL:

Behold, for Airz has finally gotten to finishing his parts in the first half of Skeletal Shenanigans! Honestly I couldn't be happier with how well this level is turning out considering the pace we are keeping up, I'm not sure how much longer it'll take, but I'd estimate maybe 2 months considering we might take a short break. Anyway, what a fun start to 2025! This is the first true example of how my newly inspired work ethic for GD is playing out, and I must say its a whole lot more fulfilling than 2024's "I'll build when I feel like it." Not sure what changed that is enabling this, but I don't think its at all fleeting like most motivation bursts are.

So, Skeletal Shenanigans, the original was a short level swap with Airz from a couple years ago that was fairly fun to make. We had considered turning both PVC Pipe and Skeletal Shenanigans into full projects, but that quickly fell through. Then, in late December, I came across Waterflame, Boom Kitty, and Teminite's brand new song 'Slash Inferno' and I immediately saw a brand new vision for Skeletal Shenanigans. I ran it by Airz and we quickly agreed to collab on a completely new version. The vision I had in that moment is almost exactly what you see in this video; not only has very little changed conceptually, but even more surprisingly, my execution is actually living up to my ideas with these animations. You'll see even more of this from the boss onward, but I am overjoyed at my newfound ability to use keyframes for an especially smooth look to animating in GD. The skeletons provide the literal perfect catalyst for this, I mean, they are literally the definition of a humanoid rig, easy to manipulate and transform without the consequence of joints and such (with the small exception of the wizard with the robes).

THE IMMORTAL SNAIL: A Story-Based Platformer (Geometry Dash)

This 2.2 platformer level is based off of the "immortal snail" story where you become immortal but an immortal snail chases you and if it touches you, you die instantly.
