Mordheim - City of the Damned, is a Warhammer Fantasy Battles video game set in the aftermath of a massive magical catastrophe. It's based on the Old World's Skirmish game 'Mordheim' (1999) that was created in answer to 40ks skirmish game 'Necromunda.'
In it, you wander into the broken city of Mordheim, gathering the fragments of the warp-irradiated comet that shattered the city. Don't ask why you grew a third arm, just think about the money.

DragonStrike is the NES port of a game of the same name. The original was a PC flight simulator about fighting on the back of a dragon during the War of the Lance.
Two years later Westwood 'ported' their Dragonlance game to the NES - but it was in truth an entirely new game. This is the story of D&D's forgotten Shoot'em up.
Dragonshard is a 2005 Dungeons & Dragons RTS based on the newly released Eberron setting. The setting of magical industry and the apocalyptic Last War are uniquely well suited out of all D&D to be turned into a strategy game.
The result was wildly experimental, blending together RTS and dungeon crawling gameplay in a fascinating way.
Unfortunately, those experiments mostly didn't work, and the game largely wastes Eberron as a setting.
In 2003 Dungeons and Dragons chose to respond it's surprise hit 'Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance'... by creating a competing product in hopes that it could steal the Dark Alliance audience to play a different Hack & Slash series instead.

Dark Sun: Wake of the Ravager (1994) is an intensely dark game based on D&D's long-abandoned apocalyptic setting. Unfortunately, despite great writing, stellar quest design and immersive themes - it was held back by being one of the buggiest D&D games ever released.

Oh, and we get to kill a Tarrasque, so there's that!
D&D Blood & Magic was the very first D&D video game published by Interplay. Although it seems likely that it was originally unrelated to Dungeons & Dragons, their odd shoe-horning that was done to make their RTS fit forgotten realms lore ended up creating bonkers world-building that continues to be questionably canon to this very day.

Here's what I think of the game after 4 days of gaming, and the effects this sleeper hit will have on the CRPG industry overall!
Baldur's Gate 3 looks to be the weirdest D&D game in ages - and that's a great thing! But for all it's polish, it's quality and it's embodiment of the 'soul' of D&D - BG3 will NOT save D&D video games.
To explain why, we need to understand D&D games not as they are, but as they WERE before the first Baldur's Gate.

Dark Sun: Shattered Lands was SSI's attempt at a successor engine for their gold box games. Riddled with bugs and production delays and failing to gain much of an audience, Shattered Lands was nonetheless a big step forward for the isometric RPG genre, and has a handful of diehard fans to this very day.
It and it's sequel stand out for being the sole video game adaptations of D&D's classic 'Dark Sun' setting - D&D's apocalypse setting.
