This week, I made another trip and I thought I show you how I travel from Singapore to Malaysia by bus using different methods. To go there I took the Causeway Link bus CW, The Singapore to Malaysia bus ticket price for the CW5 is S$4.60 now. It will take about 30 to 40 mins to travel from take to travel from Singapore(Newton Food Centre) to Malaysia (JB customs) by bus during non peak hours. I also stayed in an AirBnB apartment for a night so I will show you how it looks like. Rollei Heidosmat 150mm f/2.8 A cheap Aero Ektar Alternative? Analogue Photography Talk 2022-04-09 | I picked up this Rollei Heidosmat 150mm f/2.8 projection lens from Ebay. Most of my 4x5 lenses have their biggest f-stop at f5.6 or smaller so I quite excited to see if this projection lens could be a cheaper version of the Kodak Aero Ektar 7 inches which is usually paired with the Speed Graphic camera utilizing its focal plane shutter. Sepia Toning using Himalayan black salt (Kala Namak) Analogue Photography Talk 2022-02-13 | In this video, I tried out an alternative way to do sepia toning using Himalayan black salt (Kala Namak). Kala namak is a kiln-fired rock salt with a sulphurous, pungent smell used in the Indian subcontinent. Kala namak is used extensively in South Asian cuisines of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal as a condiment or added to chaats, chutneys, salads, fruit, raitas and many other savory Indian snacks. I tried both Fiber based and Resin Coated photos that I printed previously. How I DIY a Remote Mechanical Cable Release for Film Camera and Photography Analogue Photography Talk 2021-12-29 | I have always used my long cable release with an air bulb for taking my self portraits. However I decided to build a more modern mechanical cable release. As I researched more, I found that most made use of a linear actuator that pushes the button of the traditional mechanical cable release when activated. I chose to use a ESP32 board as my controller, it is small and has built-in Bluetooth and Wifi. I decided to use Bluetooth in my design by creating a mobile app to send the triggering commands over.
