OhTalkWho オタクThis is a short video answering the age old question: "how do I buy the kindle version of a book off amazon.co.jp if I dont live in japan?"
1. Make a new email address for japanese use. Nothing special about this any gmail account not linked to an amazon account will work.
3. Make an amazon.co.jp account with your new email address and put in a fake Japanese address.
4. make sure you connect to you VPN
5. Buy what you want or check out then end for how to get free manga from amazon.
This is great for people who want to buy the cheaper version of the Tango books or for people who want to get light novels or manga or real novels or what ever. Also can transfer straight to your kindle or kindle app if you log into those with your japanese email.

By focusing on your anki, reading, and audio visual immersion you can accomplish a lot over time by doing a little every day. If you are a busy adult you can get creative in how you meet these goals. Using your phone and giving up on mindless scrolling on social media is a great way to help meet your daily goals.

I have been asked questions like "how do I put the picture on the back" or "how do I move the Kanji to the front and the Keyword to the back" more times than I can count, so I decided to make a quick video to show how it's done!

Morphman is a great add-on for busy people who want to be able to sentence mine from their favorite shows. Morphman isn't quite as good as traditional sentence mining, but if set up properly it can be a good substitute. **Not discussed in the video but you should also install the add-on Unidic for Morphman!**
時間割 16日5月2018年 RTK Traditional started (knew hiragana katakana Dr. Moku) 1日9月2018年 Tango N5 Started (read Tae Kim) 6日11月2018年 Tango N4 Started (took J-CAT) 5日1月2019年 Tango N3 Started 17日4月2019年 Mining Started (slow monolingual transition)
単語 finished N3 K count around 6600 average of 10.6 words a day since I have started.
漢字 Started Studying again using Matt's RRTK Deck
読む read several books including ハリーポッター賢者の石 started a reading club this year with the goal of at least 1 book a month.

1年 時間割 16日5月 RTK Traditional started (knew hiragana katakana Dr. Moku) 1日9月 Tango N5 Started (read Tae Kim) 6日11月 Tango N4 Started (took J-CAT) 5日1月 Tango N3 Started 17日4月 Mining Started
単語 Finished N3 around mid April. Started sentence mining, now just shy of 400 sentences. Utilizing Morphman, Subs2SRS and Netflix Frequency List. (use of nocompo's spreadsheet)
Stats: about 1 hour anki a day 214 reviews ish. 15 new cards a day. 5016 ish words / sentences (mathed) 3752 Morphs
漢字 Restarted Kanji! Using Matt's 1k Deck (not amazing when compared to Netflix Freq List) Using most common japanese words instead of english, and adding audio with AwesomeTTS. I dont think people should do traditional RTK (I did it). Nuke Marines 555/1110 or Matt's 1000 is more than enough for Tango decks and then just learn the others as you go.
読む Finished my first light novel キノの旅! 238 pages total read on kindle. Started 2nd LN 盾の勇者の成り上がり about 11% through so far.
見る/聞く Watch shows daily probably around 3 a day at least more when I can.
書く I dont practice writing at all.
話す Havent started offically yet but more and more each day I accidently start saying things in Japanese.
9ヶ月 時間割 16日5月 RTK Traditional started (knew hiragana katakana Dr. Moku) 1日9月 Tango N5 Started (read Tae Kim) 6日11月 Tango N4 Started (took J-CAT) 5日1月 Tango N3 Started
単語 N3 book, over halfway through it. Started on Jan 5th should finish in less than 2 months
Stats: about 1 hour anki a day 150-190 reviews ish. 30 new cards a day. 3567 ish words / sentences (mathed) 25% suspended 6207 cards (half listening)
漢字 Stopped kanji almost entirely. Plan to restart with Matts or Nukes Deck. I dont think people should do traditional RTK. 555/1110 or 1000 is more than enough for Tango decks and then just learn the others as you go.
読む Read a few manga novels Working on my first light novel over 25% through! キノの旅
見る/聞く Watch shows daily probably around 2-3 a day at least. subs ?
書く I dont practice writing at all.
話す Probably will start around or after 1 year though I catch myself saying phrases all the time.
将来 Finish N3 Morphman finds i+1 works awesome with Subs2SRS can add a frequency list monolingual transition
単語 N4 (vocab) On PT.1 so far I love it. Though you can definitely feel a grammar gap about 140 cards a day. 30 new cards added every day. 15~20 new words depending on card type. Doing full kanji but a lot less cards to switch in N4. I wont share my deck but I showed you how to do this in my last video.
Grammar (Tae Kim) read a section every day and search when I run into a new grammar point.
Kanji Still reviewing Lazy Kanji RTK every day, usually about 40 cards a day. I feel it slipping.
Reading Immersion Pokemon Lets Go EEVEE can understand a lot and look up what I cant, 20 hours so far. Phone games with QooApp.
Listening Immersion listening when In the Car and working out / whenever I get free time probably an hour or so a day.
Visual Immersion I watch anime every day with my wife and try to get an EP alone every day.
Speaking still none really except for repeating my cards.
BG Music: made by me, tell me if its annoying.N5 Tango 単語 Book Review + my 5 month updateOhTalkWho オタク2018-10-23 | In this video I go over my progress so far with the N5 Tango book. I really like this book as a learning tool and highly suggest it to anyone learning japanese.
Music Credit: me, tell me if its crap or annoying/distracting.AJATT / MIA 3 Month Update & IntrodutionOhTalkWho オタク2018-09-03 | I have been studying Japanese since Jan 2018, and have been doing a watered down version of AJATT / MIA (due to a busy adult life) for about 3.5 months. This is my progress update, going over what I have done so far. I hope that the community can help me grow and I hope others may find what I have done so far useful.
If you have any suggestions as to what I could be doing better please let me know!
my other channel: youtube.com/user/doebrickHow I Use Remembering The Kanji (RTK)OhTalkWho オタク2018-08-15 | I have been learning Japanese for a few months now and I wanted to talk about how I use Remembering the Kanji (RTK). When I first started Kanji I did a lot of research, and thanks to people like Matt VS Japan, NukeMarine, and many others, I feel like I have come up with a really good method for learning all the 2200 Kanji in RTK. In this video I go over what I do every day, and show how I will learn these 2200 kanji in just over 3 months.
This is the method a lot of people who do AJATT / MIA seem to do.
Please if you have any feedback let me know and thank you for watching my video!
Anki Deck that I used: ankiweb.net/shared/info/215365929 for this deck I had to flip the cards around so that the key word showed first not the kanji
