When I was in Washington DC the other day, I decided to commemorate the trip with a piece of jewelry made from the texture of the Washington Monument. I went to Walmart and got some sculpy modeling clay to get the impression. Then I tucked it away safely in an empty hair gel bottle lol. Luckily it made it back to Oregon safe and sound.
Turning a Gold Coin into a Diamond Ring Change You Can Wear 2023-09-29 | I absolutely love these US $10 and $20 liberty coins! They are 90% gold and have history attached to them that a US gold eagle never could. Just imagine pulling out a $10 gold piece from your pocket at a local mercantile store to pay for your goods. This coin went on horseback from place to place! The reason I don’t do them nearly as often is because they tend to have an issue when they are being forged. Sometimes they get a slightly rippled look to them. It almost looks like a hammered finish. It all has to to with how the coins were initially made. But I decided a slightly rippled look doesn’t look bad and the history attached makes it all the better for me. So I think these are finally going on the website! www.changeyoucanwear.netI really wanted to add diamonds to this one so I decided to replace the stars that represent the 13 original colonies with 1.5 mm VS quality diamonds. They really sparkle in the sun! I wish I could have captured that in video but I live in the Pacific Northwest so the sun gets more rare this time of year :) I hope you guys enjoyed this video!
