Justin MichaelA former professor of literature at Roskilde University, Camelia Elias gave up her tenured position to devote time to writing and teaching about the tarot. Combined with her love of language, literature, and the visual arts, she applies martial arts principles to cartomancy. The result is a veracious style of card reading that is unique and widely respected.
She is the author of “Read Like The Devil: the Essential Course in Reading the Marseille Tarot” and “Marseille Tarot: Towards the Art of Reading,” Editor-in-Chief at EyeCorner Press, and founder of Aradia Academy (her school dedicated to cartomancy).

Thanks for Watching!!Discussing the Trumps: Macro-Narratives and Trump Sequence, with Chris from Elemental CartomancyJustin Michael2022-07-04 | This discussion has been brewing for a while. It’s the first video in a series dedicated to reading Tarot. My first video will feature Chris from the YouTube Channel, Elemental Cartomancy.
A topic that may often be overlooked by students getting started with the tarot is the idea of overall narratives and themes. That is, putting the Trumps in the context of a storyline, which may help students understand them better. In this discussion, Chris and I will talk about the various narratives and themes which seem to emerge from the tarot’s trumps. We will talk about some of the theories that are more common, made popular by our favorite tarot authors, but we’ll also talk about our personal ones.
. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for watching 🙏Visconti Di Modrone, Cary-Yale ViscontiJustin Michael2021-10-28 | Cary-Yale Visconti/Visconti Di Modrone is one of three hand painted 15th century decks attached to the Visconti name. It is alleged that the deck remained in the Visconti family (now known as Visconti Di Modrone) until about 1947 when it was purchased by Mary and Melbert Cary. It was left to Yale University by Mary Cary in the 1960s where it remains today. There are 67 surviving cards. It is not known with full certainty how many cards were present originally but there is a case to be made that there were 89 originals; 25 Trumps, 24 court cards, 40 numerical pips. This decks was originally thought to be painted by Bonafacio Bembo but more recently attributed to his elder brother Andrea Bembo around 1441.
*First cards I show are the fool. I misspoke and said magician twice 😃

I’m no expert, just a student sharing what I learned. Most of my info was derrived from essay by Thierry Depaulis. I encourage criticism but please keep it constructive. I am more than happy to be wrong about anything as i said I’ not an expert😊 Feel free to share your opinons! Love and peace !
* A few notes:
When I referred to Cupid wearing a “Crash Helmit” I was quoting Depaulis. It’s not actually a crash helmit. It just looks like one. Also the argument about type one being older Is something Thierry addresses In his essay.. to be fair he says “type one has every chance to be older.” So I should have said type one “may be older.” Because we really dont know for sure.
