How this story changed the way I read comics! For the Love of Comics 2022-05-29 | George Pérez and Marv Wolfman's Teen Titans is considered a bona fide classic of superhero comics, but I knew nothing of it when I first read #18 over thirty years ago. In 23 pages, it fundamentally changed the way I looked at comics, even though I may not have realised it at the time. In this episode, I take a deep dive into what made this so special, what it taught me, and the effect it has on my comics reading to this day. Jeff Smiths BONE : Are these RARE EDITIONS? (doesnt matter, theyre great!) For the Love of Comics 2022-05-01 | Bone is not only one of my favourite comics of all time, it is also the comic I have sampled in the most number of different editions. In this episode, I look at two uncommon editions: a 3-in-1 colour hardcover omnibus set and a slipcased set of paperbacks. I guess they're a bit rare, in that they don't seem easily available, but not expensive when I have found them, and the value of these books is really in the joy of reading them!
