Mounting an xTool Screen Printer Frame on an Xtool P2 CO2 laser Zentient1 2024-01-09 | My wife and I received our xTool screen printing multicolor kit a few days ago. Although the kit it comes with fixtures to align frames when placed in the S1 and D1 lasers, we want to use it with our xTool P2 CO2 lasers.This video shows how I am positioning the frames in the laser. By registering the frames on a set of pins, multiple screens can be aligned, one for each color. Easy Cable Drag Chain Installation for Xtool D1 Laser Zentient1 2022-02-18 | For those who want to neaten the cable travel on their Xtool D1 laser,This is a simple solution that takes only a couple of minutes and uses the existing wiring. Affiliate link: xtool.com/?ref=9YWRJW2VrG82Note that some folks have tried this and said their cable wasn’t quite long enough. It’s entirely possible that the shipped cable length might vary, but this obviously worked on my unit. Some additional thoughts: Note that the cable does not enter and exit through the chain end, but instead a few links in. Make sure the ends are fastened as shown in the video (it might help to move the ends slightly in towards the center of the machine). Make sure the loop at the front of the unit is cinched down tight with a zip tie, so it doesn’t move.

Hollyland Lark 150 Setup - Avoid confusion Zentient1 2021-01-05 | Here’s a quick tip that will hopefully avoid some confusion for those who are unboxing their Hollyland Lark 150 wireless microphones.When the units have been powered on, and placed into the charging case, everything is supposed to go into a suspend mode, and if you press one of the buttons on the receiver the display should show the charge status of each of the components. However, when I did this, the pieces all stayed in transmit mode, and did not charge. After some head scratching, I wondered if the units were connecting to the contacts at the base of each bay. What I didn’t realize, and the documentation doesn’t mention is that the package ships with some blue plastic shipping insulators between the units and the contacts. So just remove these three strips and you’ll get the expected behavior.

Spiral tower time lapse Zentient1 2018-03-19 | This is a test of a spiral tower design I've been working on as well as a first time use of VideoVelocity time lapse software.The camera is capturing one frame every 3 seconds, so you really only see it as a circular rotation, instead of seeing the print head stop and print each of the tube segments.The tower has been modeled in Fusion 360 with parameters for things like number of tubes, tube diameter, overall height, etc.The model was sliced in Simplify 3D and printed on a SeeMeCNC Artemis with ProtoPasta Magnetic Iron filament.The finished tower will then be soaked in vinegar and salt, to promote a rusted patina.The tower is about 2.5" tall will serve as a base for a 3" wood turned sphere embellished with Archival inks.Special thanks to John Diamond for collaborating on the modeling.
