Is Ice Carbon Diablo X an EXTREME DEMON? AeonAir 2023-09-03 | Once a year, ICDX gets rerated to extreme demon for a couple days, then back down to insane demon, and each time the discussion is brought up: Is ICDX an extreme demon? Today I plan to see for myself, but rebeating ICDX after not playing it for over 6 years, then beating a super easy ship based extreme demon to compare the 2 of them difficulty wise. Ofc that didn't go perfectly as planned, because I am ofc the luckiest and unluckiest person of all time. I had 2 very polarizing experiences. However I think I can confidently say ICDX ISNT an extreme, and its just a pretty high end insane demon. My Final Grind Before 2.2... AeonAir 2023-09-01 | I have 3 final goals before 2.2 finally releases in a couple months. I want to finally beat Tartarus, which I am rigorously grinding to complete, but I also want to reach 3000 demons, and complete 200 demons of each difficulty, something only 1 or 2 people have ever accomplished. The skill and patience required to grind 200 easy demons, medium demons, hard demons, insane demons, and extreme demons is something not a lot of people can do, but I want to join the ranks and be one of only few to have this done. As far as Im concerned only 1 or 2 people currently have it, those being xLia and Zeronium. MOST FUN NC EXTREME! // Balengu Vortex 100% // Geometry Dash 2.1 AeonAir 2023-08-29 | I beat Bausha Vortex as my 2nd hardest, and 18th extreme demon 3 years ago now, and I found it to be INCREDIBLY difficult. Even today, Bausha Vortex resides in my personal top 40 hardest extreme demons, along with Artificial Ascent, Stalemate Redux, which was my hardest at the time, and Killbot. Safe to say, Balengu Vortex has always been an intimidating level for me. It has always been compared to Bausha Vortex as being incredibly similar, so it was daunting to pick up. But picking it up was SUPER FUN! This level is incredibly fun, and even tho it has a ton of gimmicks I struggle with, like portal clicks, and tons of fake gravity portals, I had a genuinely great time playing this. I did end up getting a bit unlucky, dying a ton towards the end, dying to 62% 5 times, 64% a couple times, 70%, 72% x4 somehow, and a 77% death, as well as my death to the last cube. Despite some bad luck, even after getting 16-100 really quickly, I still had fun. Highly recommend this if you want to improve at wave. Balengu Vortex does take the cake as my new arguably worst difficulty opinion of all time tho, since as I mentioned, Bausha Vortex is IMO my 37th hardest extreme, but I don't think Balengu Vortex even makes it into my top 70. Keep in mind these levels were 4 spots apart on the demonlist when they were present in the top 150. I guess you could say I have improved over the past 3 years. My Concern With APOCALYPTIC TRILOGY by APTeam AeonAir 2023-08-28 | Apocalyptic Trilogy by APTeam is the long awaited Hardest Level in 2.1, and after 7.5 years, Zimnyte and his team has finally finished it, and it is now set to be verified by Trick. I think this level looks phenomenal, and I am really looking forward to trying it for myself, and seeing it released to the public - HOWEVER. The gameplay in Cataclysm, Bloodbath, and Aftermath is fundamentally not meant to be as hard as it is, and taking a closer look at the gameplay, it looks to me like the buffing process of Apocalyptic Trilogy has been done very sloppily. Lots of random inputs that seem like they have been buffed way more than others, and parts that almost look untouched to the original, creating a level that seem like it wouldn't be the most fun, because of chokepoints. I truly hope Zimnyte and his team put a ton of effort into balancing, and making this level the best it can be, because I truly think it could be a super fun level. The BEST Extreme Demon You NEVER HEARD OF! // Geometry Dash AeonAir 2023-08-24 | Is this the coolest extreme demon you have never heard of? Possibly! Wind Storm by Aimbotter is a very unknown extreme demon that recently got added to the GDDP platinum tier, so I decided to beat it as I was missing only 1 level for the plus rank. This level is INCREDIBLY good. Super fun all the way through, and I had a blast beating this. I beat Trides Top 1.... Kinda AeonAir 2023-08-22 | Tride finally finished his top 1 extreme demon joke level Kratos, and in the process also made a nerfed version named Cratus, which he claims is insane demon. I however think it is extreme demon lol. It's a weirdly fun easier extreme demon with similar gameplay to slaughterhouse, which makes it accessible to most good players to try. It does have some balancing issues, especially with 20-60 being about 90% of the difficulty of the level, but overall this is a very fun level! sadly I had a silly fluke choke, dying to 97%, fluking from 58%, which did make the level somewhat annoying. 10 YEARS of Geometry Dash in 1 LEVEL! AeonAir 2023-08-21 | To Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Geometry Dash, Robtop and Viprin hosted a wonderful video to showcase the whole history of the game, and it's community. At the very end of this video, a credit sequence was shown, where they played through most of the updates, showcasing some of the most famous levels in this game. It's a wonderful level, sadly riddled with controversy because a lot of people disagree with the level getting rated, since it is exclusively parts from already existing levels, and levels in the past have been unrated because of stolen assets. I think the level is super cool, so I don't mind it being rated, but I fully understand why people aren't a fan of it's rate. A NEW Era For The Demon List! // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-08-17 | The Pointercrate Demon List is in a new era now, with the addition of the 2 player level codependence being added to the number 8 position for being completed solo. A level relatively easily completed by 2 people, placing within the top 10 means a fair few things to the list. Lots of people have mixed opinions on the addition of this level to the list, because it is near impossible to truly judge it's difficulty, and at the same time, "against" how the game is "meant to be played", since it is a side gimmick through 2 player, meaning you need 2 inputs. I for one think it is the right thing to celebrate Pukklez and Reptilian's achievement by placing it on the list, and I am excited to see more and more players try to conquer this beast. AeonAir 2023-08-14 | Geometry Dash turns 10 years old, and to celebrate, Robtop, Viprin, and their team has worked tirelessly to celebrate this game's history to the best of their ability, with a beautiful montage of each year and highlights from them, celebrating it's creators, players, and content creators. As much as I have said in the past that Geometry Dash ISNT one of my favorite games, the past 3 years have honestly proved me otherwise. The amount of passion I have for this game truly came through in this, and I didn't initially plan to upload a reaction for this, since I didn't really see a reason, but this video really made me tear up. It made me realize how important this game and it's community is to me, and I'm super proud to be a big enough part of it to deserve a spot in the video. The Tartarus Experience. AeonAir 2023-08-12 | I want to keep you guys up to date on the Tartarus grind that I am doing over on Twitch (come watch), and this is the state of the grind. Yesterday alone I passed 31%, which is 1 of the 2 biggest chokepoints in the level, but died immediately to the wave part afterwards 15 times, passing it only twice. While I think I am very capable of getting far, as I am insanely good at 35-100, I just struggle with passing 32-33. Hopefully soon I can clear the mindblock, and start making significant progress! Geometry Dash is about to get MUCH HARDER! AeonAir 2023-08-01 | Over the years, there has been a predictable trend of when the current top 1 hardest demon in geometry dash is about to be dethroned, and I think that time has come for Acheron now. We have seen the same happen with bloodbath, sonic wave, bloodlust, zodiac, tartarus, and slaughterhouse, getting 5-10 victors, then be dethroned by a very noticably harder level within a few months because the intimidation of the number 1 demon is no longer there, since so many people have been able to conquer it. After OneAlphaHelix completed Acheron a meer month ago, 3 more people have completed it, and many players are reaching the 70% mark, which leads me to believe that GD is about to reach it's next tipping point in difficulty. Either Sweeping Demon II or Tidal Wave will be that catalyst, and I can see Acheron falling down to the number 5 or even 6 spot within the next year or so. Very possible that I could be wrong about this, but I wanted to air my thoughts around it, since I have been in the community for many years, and witnessed this happen first hand on several occasions myself! I LOVE THIS LEVEL! // Fragile 100% // TOP 45 EXTREME DEMON // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-29 | After completing Kowareta by Gablor recently from my RNG list demon wheel, I ended up really enjoying it to my surprise! It was a level I added reluctantly to my wheel, as a challenge for myself, to prove that I can truly push myself - but even then I fully expected to hate it just because of how conventionally "anti aeon" it was. I loved it. So as a result I picked up Fragile, a level I had never even entertained the thought of as much as attempting. It's essentially just Kowareta with extra gameplay DLC. Kowareta takes up 47% of the level, then the remaining 53% consists of a different level that was never rated, named Shibireta. This level is so brutal, yet somehow managed to become one of my absolute favorite extreme demons to date. It is so incredibly satisfying, and it's genuinely just a blast to play. The balancing is terrible, but that never really bothered me for some reason. I just loved playing it. I got a bit unlucky, dying to 95 twice, and 97, as well as having 26 extension attempts, but overall I would say I had a great experience with Fragile. I do recommend this, but it's insanely hard. This pushes RUST out of my top 5, just 10 months after it was pushed down from the number 1 spot, when I beat Hard Machine october 1st 2022. To think in less than a year, rust went from being my hardest, to being my 6th hardest is crazy to me. My recent improvement has been absurd, and I cant wait to tackle more hard levels. Tartarus is next, which will push bloodlust out of my personal top 10, which is surreal to me. TIDAL WAVE is a GOOD TOP 1! Heres why. // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-25 | Tidal Wave is Zoink's secret meant to dethrone acheron, which is from my point of view, someone's passion project, given to someone whos good enough to make it as hard as it possibly can be. To me, this level is a great breath of fresh air, as all previous top 1s have either been hell themed like Bloodbath, Bloodlust, Yatagarasu, Tartarus, and slaughterhouse, while other top 1s have just been normal design levels like artificial ascent, zodiac, and plasma pulse finale. few exceptions are ever made to the rigid "criteria" of a top 1 extreme demon, and I think a beach themed one is super fun! am I worried that zoink's buffs will make it unfun and generally bad to play? absolutely! This is a valid concern, and I think could end up ruining it, but part of me really wants to hope that it turns out to be a great one, because the core gameplay DOES look very fun to me. Of course I cant know since I havent played it, but I can dream. Seeing so many thematically similar levels at the top for so long, it's very cool for me to finally see something so out of the norm for a top level, and while not the best visually, and not necessarily the most original concept, it oozes with so much charm and personality that I can't help but love it. I'm looking forward to it's release, and I hope that it turns out good! This Might Be a TERRIBLE MISTAKE.... // Im Beating FRAGILE // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-20 | After beating Kowareta, I obviously took interest in checking out Fragile, since I really enjoyed Kowareta. Fragile is essentially a rebalanced Kowareta, with an added extension, bloodlust style. except the extension is just another level that was never rated... lol Anyway, I played this for a couple days to see if it felt like a reasonable level to go for, and honestly, it's very fun so far. Really difficult however, making it a pretty daunting task, and considering everyone I have spoken to hates this level, I'm in for a grueling grind. Fragile will be my 4th hardest according to the list, above Sary Never Clear, but below Promethean. Idk how I will feel about the difficulty, since I already spent 19 000 attempts on Kowareta, but we will wait and see when I beat it. THANATOPHOBIA SEQUEL! // LA LLORONA 100% // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-18 | La Llorona is the sequel to Thanatophobia, hosted by qMystic and CherryTeam, and this level is AMAZING! It is an incredibly well crafted and fun level. It has incredible gameplay, flows perfectly, and feels amazing to play. Easily one of my favorite insane demons in Geometry Dash... yeah, insane demon. A lot of people have said this is extreme, but I don't really see it. It has very easy gameplay, and really just tests your consistency more than anything. It's very lenient, and you can make a lot of significant mistakes without dying, which makes it a good high end insane demon imo. Can't say if its harder or easier than thanatophobia though, since I beat that 3 years ago. ITS ACTUALLY GOOD! // KOWARETA 100% // Extreme Demon // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-16 | Kowareta is a level that has always been there, and I've always viewed as something I wouldn't be able to do just because of the nature of the gameplay. So to say I felt intimidated going in is an understatement. I added it to my wheel as a shock value pick just because I knew nobody would expect it, and I honestly have no regrets! I was getting a bit frustrated because there were 2 parts I couldn't get down to save my life, but overall this is a really fun level! Very much enjoyable, and I do recommend this! I'm super glad to have this done, since ever since I saw brandon larkin play this many years ago now, I have been interested in it. I will give Fragile a try, but I cannot promise I will actually beat it. I was FORCED To Beat This Extreme.. // ITHACROPOLIS 100% // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-11 | Trusta's GDDP added a brand new tier a week or so ago, adding 25 brand new levels to the tracker, and to celebrate, I told trusta he could choose ANY new level for me to beat, and he ended up choosing Ithacropolis. This is a remake of Necropolis by neptune, meaning its jank, really goofy, and kinda bad, but all things considered, I did actually like this! It got a bit annoying dying to the 30 wave over and over again, but overall a solid experience! Go for it, but keep in mind that 70-83 is the hardest part, and passing 36% is difficult - especially from 0. My WORST Experience In GD... // no jokes 100% // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-08 | very serious demon time! no jokes by TheParadoxTeam is a main list extreme demon, that was nerfed from an impossible joke level they made, and verified by zeronium! Me mentioning it being a former impossible level is important context, because it sort of excuses how insufferable this level was. Firstly, I love this level in concept. The idea of the level is phenomenal, and is executed in a near perfect way. I love what it does, and I think it does it well, but because of the nature of the gameplay being only 39 seconds long, and nerfed from an impossible state, it is chokepoint city. The first half of the level being the most excrutiating. The first 3 jumps, the 6% yellow orb, 12% ship click, 17% pink orb, 19% blue orbs, going up correctly at 21%, 30%, 32%, 35%, 37%, 38%, and 41% were more or less the only clicks I would ever die to in the beginning, and if I passed the predrop by some miracle, I would just die to 52%, 57%, 61%, or the wave at 66%. I reached the drop probably around 40 times, which admittedly is very lucky, and died 3 times past 67%, which is also admittedly super lucky. You may remember in my introduction video, I said 90% is insanely hard, and I was certain I would die to it - well I somehow didnt. This was a mentally excrutiating grind, and despite beating it fast, and getting lucky all things considered, I have never had less fun grinding anything in my life. It's absolutely horrid, and I was genuinely worried about having to play it for several more days because I just couldn't get attempts to the ending. I don't fault zeronium for this, btw. THE NEW UPDATE IS FINALLY HERE! // GDDP JADE TIER // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-06 | GDDP by Trusta, and his crew has received its biggest update since they launched the website - adding a BRAND NEW TIER between Sapphire and Emerald tiers. The reason for this was the large gap in difficulty between sapphire and emerald, creating for a big jump, and slowing down people's progress significantly. 6 levels were moved up from sapphire to jade, and 6 levels were moved down from emerald, and were replaced by more balanced levels in terms of difficulty, and another 13 levels were added brand new to the jade tier, giving us 25 brand spanking new levels to try! How To Beat YATAGARASU! - Guide for EVW // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-04 | Yatagarasu is one of the original RGB trilogy consisting of it, Sonic Wave, and Erebus, and it is going to be EricVanWilderman's new hardest demon, and as is tradition, I am going to talk through the level. I will explain it as well as I can, so you at home, as well as Eric can get a deep understanding for the level, and how to beat it. I did this all the way back for the first time in 2017 with bloodbath, and have since done it with every level Eric has been going for, that I have beaten myself. Digital Descent, Artificial Ascent, Subsonic, and Phobos, as well as Bloodbath of course. This is around the difficulty however where I think a direct guide is unnecessary, and instead, I talk primarily about how to properly practice, and how to approach levels in an effective way to get better. Since this is a consistency based level, having the consistency for even the hardest parts is difficult, but very manageable. It's super compact, with tons of difficult gameplay, but I am very much looking forward to beating it! I've really liked it ever since it came out, so this is gonna be exciting! Funny Meme Extreme // DEVIL VORTEX 100% // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-07-01 | Devil vortex is known for its controversy with toshdeluxe "verifying" it, and the infamous sawblades above the level, and it having one of the most unforgiving endings to any level to date, boasting a beautiful 2frame 144hz input at 84%, making it what most consider to be a luck based extreme. it's a level that I never thought I would end up playing, but here we are, having it completed! I do like this level, despite all the garbage, because it is a very straight forward, and INSANELY consistent level. I passed the wave spam at 55% over 160 times from 0, and got there every few attempts. It's extremely satisfying to always get far, but because of the luck based ending, it does get frustrating. You need to be in the mindset to deal with a bunch of terrible late deaths from things you can't really control, which is definitely not for everyone, so I can see why people dislike it. I had 1 session that absolutely pissed me off because I expected more, and thought I would get consistent with it, but despite that, I enjoyed this. This is The MOST FUN Extreme in Geometry Dash? // Endless Dream 100% (RNG Extreme Demon Alphabet) AeonAir 2023-06-26 | Endless Dream by DreamTide is long considered the most fun extreme demon in geometry dash. On release, it had like a 9.75 average enjoyment rating out of 10, and everyone loved it. It is MANY people's favorite extreme demon, including Zeronium, so naturally I went in excited to have a great time with it - sadly expectations often lead to disappointment, and this was no different. I will say this level is NOT BAD AT ALL! In fact, I think it is very fun once you get pretty good at it, however I didnt have the most favorable experience. I had very little fun learning the level, which is what I usually think is the most fun part about a level; the learning process. I did afterwards have a ton of fun with it while I was making progress, and it was very enjoyable, however I got a 2nd 73% death which really ticked me over the edge, and the last hour or so was absolutely miserable. How Fast Can I Beat an EXTREME DEMON? // Geometry Dash Speedrun AeonAir 2023-06-17 | I decided to beat an extreme demon as fast as I could! As little attempts as possible, and as fast as possible. Naturally with the time pressure (XDDDDDDD) I died a fair few times to the end, but still beat this rather quickly. This might also be the easiest extreme demon in geometry dash. Tartarus When? AeonAir 2023-06-16 | I spent a day with tartarus, just feeling out the level, seeing if I am ready for it. I have been spending 2023 so far just grinding hard levels, with the intent of growing my overall raw skill to a point where I can beat it, and I think I will soon! probably after the summer though. ALMOST AMAZING! // xo 100% (xo by KrmaL) // Geometry Dash 2.11 AeonAir 2023-06-14 | xo by krmal was incredibly controversial when released because it's widely considered a layout, that of course ended up getting rated because "robtop is bias", but I actually think this level does it really well! Krmal works with the song perfectly, and all the small subtle details like the blocks working like a guitar notesheet is really cool. I think this level is overall very good, however I would lie if I said I really liked playing it. it's ALMOST an amazing level, but its held back massively by how hard it is to get anywhere from 0% because of the 3% dash orb, and the 13% ship gap. I was able to get very consistent, but the first couple days I was really struggling to get far from 0 more than once every hour it felt like.
