Healthspan, unlike lifespan, refers to the number of healthy years we have to live rather than the actual days until we die. This is a very big distinction because if youβve ever lived with a chronic illness, like I do, youβll know that your health is the most important thing you have in your life. I learned at a very young age that you can be very much alive without being healthy.
If youβre familiar with my channel, youβll know that Iβm a big fan of CGMs, Continuous Glucose Monitors, which bring metabolic health to the masses. In this video, I discuss the value of evaluating healthspan over lifespan, as well as what we all can do to increase the number of healthy years we have to live.

Cardiothoracic Surgery is an awesome specialty. Thereβs a high degree of prestige that comes with it, as well as a level of precision, detail, and technical skills needed that I love; like operating the da Vinci. That being said, it wasn't for me. Choosing a specialty is one of the most important decisions you'll make during medical school and everyone has their own reasons for choosing the specialty that they do. Hereβs what I liked about cardiothoracic surgery, what I didn't like, and why I ultimately chose not to specialize in it.

Learn how to leverage social media for simpler, more effective research. Back in college, I found researching arduous, but over the years, Iβve honed these skills. Now I actually enjoy it. Social media can augment your research to make the process a little less overwhelming. Hereβs how.
Social media can help you reach a wider audience, which can build your reputation and open more doors for you. Youβll be able to reach people who wouldnβt find your research otherwise.
The power of social media is incredible for connecting you with other researchers and building relationships that can lead to fruitful collaborations.
Be intentional and make your content engaging to all viewers, not just other researchers. By avoiding jargon, polishing your content, and packaging it in an engaging way, youβll widen your reach and prove the value of your research.

If you're anything like me you've probably spent a lot of time focusing on the tactics and strategies of productivity. And one thing that I didn't pay enough attention to, is the ergonomics and the overall feeling of your body when in these working positions and postures. I kept thinking these pains were due to weight training but it actually turns out it was from repetitive strain. And it's much easier to focus, get your work done, and just feel better day-to-day without these aches and pains. So here's what I've learned after countless hours of experimentation and buying different products. Watch this to see how they've benefited me and I hope you find them useful as well!

There's been a long-time debate in the fitness community regarding clean versus dirty bulks. On the one hand, clean bulks keep you close to your maintenance calories so you can build muscle slowly without gaining too much fat. On the other hand, dirty bulks put you in a significant calorie surplus to gain muscle faster, but you'll also gain some fat in the process. As someone who has experimented with clean bulking for several years, here's what I learned from my first dirty bulk.

Youβll sometimes hear people say that A-students end up working for C-students or that C-students are smarter than A-students, but is there any truth to this? On the one hand, A-students are able to work well within a system and follow instructions. They often have a strong work ethic and employ several strategies to optimize their performance. This includes proper nutrition, exercise, and stress-management, and techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork. On the other hand, C-students may have more balance, better people skills, and be more resilient to failures. Let's explore both sides of the argument to answer the question: does it pay to be a good student?
