2018 F150 Off-Road Demo of Electronic Rear Locking Differential Steve Pierce 2019-02-02 | In August 2018 with less than 2k miles on my 2018 F150 Lariat Fx4, I drove into the remote Deep Creek Mountains of Western Utah. Our goal was reaching the trail head to Mt. Ibapah (12,087 ft) which lies at the end of a rough, narrow road. There is one tricky spot requiring a spotter and careful navigation over some granite obstructions. The grade is much steeper than the video depicts. Without the locking differential, we may have not been able to ascend this hill which took off a mile of hiking and almost a thousand feet of elevation.

Aerial Video on Ibapah Peak in Utahs Deep Creek Range Steve Pierce 2018-09-16 | Ibapah Peak is a fascinating summit in the remote Deep Creek Range near the Utah/Nevada border. Its elevation is an impressive 12k feet, truly a sky island in the middle of the desert. It is a huge mountain of granite, with the exception of Red Mountain south across the canyon. To the north, it is granite as far as you can see from Ibapah. Unfortunately, the smoke from the fires burning in the western US made the views less impressive on our trip in early August. We could barely see the valley down to the west side and couldn't see the valley floor at all on the east side. Drone footage is from a flight with the DJI Mavic Pro.

Its just hard to get the perspective...and a bit risky to peer over the edge although I admit I just had to do it! This mountain boasts the 2nd largest vertical drop in the US only second to El Capitan in Yosemite. It was on this mountain 2 years ago that I first had that thought come to me that it would sure be amazing to have a bird's eye view of this beautiful mountain. Dad and Teenage Daughters Hike 25 Summits Steve Pierce 2017-08-19 | This video is dedicated to our "25 Summit" journey which we completed in July 2017. This journey started with our hike to the top of 'Y' Mountain 4 years ago and ended with North Peak last month. We hiked mountains in Utah, Nevada, and these girls' home state of Arizona. This was a goal that my oldest daughter suggested several years ago after experiencing a few summits, but she wanted to do it before her 18th birthday. Of course I was completely on board with that idea! The goal was not to climb the most difficult or highest mountains, although many of them were very challenging and treacherous in places. The goal was to accomplish something significant together that required a lot of work and sacrifice with some incredible rewards. If you've hiked some mountains, you know what I mean. I say sacrifice because with most of the summer hikes, I was waking them up between 3 and 4am to get an early start on the trail! So many good things came as a result of this time traveling on the road and hiking the trails together. In this case, it wasn't the typical darker colored tarantulas that we typically find in the Sonoran Desert. This one is colorful and a lighter color than I've typically seen.
