Summer 2009 - Day 1 TheMonkeyVault 2009-10-19 | PKTO' 5th Annual Summer Gathering. Day 1 included training at Cloud Gardens in Toronto, with a Timed Obstacle Course Run to end the afternoon before heading to the Monkey Vault Training Centre for more fun and training. The Timed run had prizes given out later that day but not for the fastest times, but rather for people who displayed unique alternative ways of moving about Cloud Gardens touching each X, or to those that pushed and showed their all despite a longer time. (part1) TheMonkeyVault 2009-08-30 | Rarely can someone walk into our gym and do the whole medicine route right away, so we give Chase extreme credit for the great physical shape hes in. Very good well rounded athlete! Unfortunately though for Chase, he hasn't beat our record yet for the medicine route, but he will be here a couple more months. ;) For those wondering the medicine route is a giant route around the training centre that tests your grip, and general endurance in a lot of areas.

Stephen 54 & 1/2 inch box jump TheMonkeyVault 2009-03-16 | Stephen surprises us yet again with some more improvement. 54 1/2 inch box jump. We tried to build it for 55 inches but, wasn't quite there. Regardless, he will hit 55+ soon. Training seems to be working, that's a good thing. I'd like to see him reach a goal of 58" one day. For those Parkour people wondering why box jump? Box jump is a -powerful- movement that is very closely related to Parkour. It is one of the foundation movements in our training program here. .....We have to start posting videos of other people too.
