Welcome to a simple, yet surprisingly deep, discussion of the question:
"How do I have fun with Pathfinder 2e?"
A few months ago, while my arm was injured, I started a series exploring "How to Have Fun with..." different classes in Pathfinder 2e. I explored what different classes brought to the gaming table & gave advice on how to get the most out of them.
But then, a though occurred to me:
You can have the same conversation about the game as a whole!
Pathfinder 2e is a game that has some evident strengths, but that also comes with a few challenges that can make it hard for players to approach. As someone who truly enjoys this game, I wanted to dig into what players & GMs can do to really get to the heart of what is great about this game.
[Side Note: I am not the Fun Police. I'm not here to tell you how to have a good time. If you're enjoying your game, then congratulations, you're doing it right! This video isn't about telling you exactly how to play your game.]
Essentially, I believe that approaching this game with two "mindsets" can really help you get to the golden aspects of the system. In particular, Pathfinder 2e is a game that assumes Teamwork as an essential tactic - so you should plan to work as a team with the other players. Additionally, Paizo developed a complex game on purpose. Complexity is a deliberate choice that comes with a learning curve, but that also supports deeper, tactical, & nuanced game play. As such, approaching that complexity deliberately, & exploring the options it gives systematically, will help you discover what this game does best!

This was not the video I originally intended to release this week, so I apologize for the content delays, but the recent story of the Chap. 11 Bankruptcy filed by Diamond Comics Distributors & the impact of that event on the larger TTRPG Community felt like a timely topic worth addressing quickly!
So, in today's video, I essentially want to answer two questions:
1) What happened?
2) How can we support TTRPG Creators who have been negatively impacted by this event?
In this video, I take a deliberately neutral stance - neither in support of nor criticizing Diamond Comics Distributors. First, I don't have the kind of background knowledge that allows me to speak at that level about this story. Second, & more importantly, I feel like the 2nd question "How can we help?" is ultimately the most important question in this conversation. So, that's where I've chosen to focus my coverage!
Here are some time stamps to help you navigate the video:
00:00 - Title Screen
00:43 - Introduction
04:20 - Quick Channel Updates
05:33 - Who is Diamond Comic Distributors? What happened?

If you want to learn more about this story, you can:
Check out this video from Roll for Combat:
youtu.be/OgLHw2riPE0?si=BlMJzEbRoa5WCCMD
SPECIAL NOTE: Roll for Combat has released an updated video on this subject, which has a lot more information. My video was already "in publication" for YouTube when I saw Roll for Combat's latest video. Check it out here for the most up-to-date information:

Finally, here is a partial list of some of the companies impacted by this event:

I believe many smaller companies have also been impacted. If you are aware of a company impacted by this event that isn't well-known, please feel free to call attention to them! Everyone needs a little extra support in the months ahead!

Lost Omens: Shining Kingdoms is the latest setting book in the Lost Omens line for Pathfinder 2nd Edition. This book delves into some of the traditional elements of high-fantasy TTRPGs, with things like noble knights, ancient evils, and literal nations of dwarves & elves! This is a book that leans into a lot of the classic elements of fantasy games in this hobby!
Which naturally begs the question:
Does Shining Kingdoms help demonstrate what makes the classics classic? Or is this a book weighed down by tired tropes?
Join me as I take a "Storyteller's Look" at Lost Omens: Shining Kingdoms & ask, "What kind of stories does this book help Storytellers & Players tell at the gaming table?"
This video in particular will highlight the chapter on the nation of Galt in the Shining Kingdoms, but will not detail all of the mechanical content available in this book. The purpose of this video is to help give you an idea of what Paizo has provided with this product.

It's story time! Recently, a major revelation occurred in one of my Pathfinder games! My party was shocked to discover that my character was, in fact, a SECRET VILLAIN! It was a great reveal & led to a lot of fun at the gaming table!
However, the concept of "Secret Villain" PCs can be a controversial topic - and it's easy for the concept to go very, very wrong.
So, in today's video, I share some of the story of how I approached playing a Secret Villain PC - and offer some advice in case you're considering doing the same. In this video, I will talk about working with your GM, considering your motives, playing "with" the other players (not "against"), and ultimately about why you should "plan to fail" as a secret villain.
Here are some time stamps to help you navigate the video:

I had some extra time on my hands, so today, you're getting a bonus video. Recently, I had a story hook prove... strangely compelling for my players. So, I want to talk about it - and about what makes for a successful story hook!
So, join me for a conversation about my players' primal urge to inflict bureaucratic red tape on a town & about what makes for a great story hook in a TTRPG.
Also, I'd love to hear your thoughts about your favorite storytelling hooks - so please share your tales as well!

Lately, my channel has been struggling & my content has been slipping. In this video, I talk about what's been going on behind the scenes & what I hope to do for this channel going forward.
The TL;DR:
I'm taking a break until mid-June.
I'd love to hear your thoughts about what the channel does well - and where this channel should focus in the future (since I have limited time for content creation at present).
Note: Since this is about the channel - and not about Pathfinder or gaming, I am turning the monetization off for this video. I don't want this video to be about the financial side of what I do here.
Let me know your thoughts! I appreciate the opportunity to interact with you!

Welcome back to my series "Holidays in Golarion," where we take a look at the various holidays & festivals that are a noted part of the Golarion Campaign Setting for Pathfinder 2nd Edition.
In today's video, we talk about boats, kites, & taxes!
The month of Gozran corresponds to the start of Spring in Golarion, which means that many spring-time activities come to the forefront. Gozran sees the start of the sailing season, celebrated by the religious festival of Currentseve, and many other cultures also celebrate sailing through events like the Wrights of Augustana.
This video also discusses the kite-battling festival known as the Gala of Sails & the (clearly fictional) "celebration" of... Taxfest.

Over the years, I have had a generally low opinion of the Fighter in Pathfinder 2e. While it's never been as low as classes like the Investigator in my own personal rankings, Fighter has commonly been a class that I will pass over for other classes I consider more engaging & interesting.
Recently, I've had some viewers push back on my opinions & offer some interesting arguments in favor of the Fighter. (By the way, thank you to the people who reply, even if you don't agree with me! I love the conversations I get to have on this channel.)
That has led me to ask the question - am I too hard on the Fighter?
In this video, I want to explore the design of the Fighter in Pathfinder 2e. I want to talk about what I think Paizo gets right with the Fighter class, explore what I think the greatest challenge of the class happens to be, & then offer a "What I'd do different" take on this classic class.
Of course, I'd love to hear your ideas on this subject! Do you agree with my thoughts? Or is there something I'm not taking into consideration when I look at this class?
Please join in the conversation & share your thoughts on the Pathfinder 2e Fighter as well!

Backgrounds are a core part of character creation, representing your character's life before they became an adventurer! Paizo's background formula is easy to understand, accessible, and quick to adapt - but sadly, that also means it can become a bit forgettable as well.
In today's video, I take a look at my favorite Rare Backgrounds in Pathfinder 2e - Backgrounds that offer interesting (but balanced) narrative & mechanical options for players to create some truly unique PCs. I'll share my Top Ten "Rare Backgrounds" (& one Honorable Mention). And, as always, I invite you to join in the conversation. Let me know what Rare Backgrounds you have used & which ones you think deserve a spot on this Top Ten List!

Welcome to a new series I'm experimenting with called "How to Have Fun With..." where I explore what makes a class enjoyable at the gaming table!
Today, at your suggestion, we're looking at a class that seems to struggle in the Pathfinder community: The Inventor! This is a class that I've struggled with before - and apparently other tables have as well. So, let's dive into Pathfinder's class design for the Inventor & see where the disconnect may be for such a thematic class!
What is it that makes an Inventor interesting & how can you have some fun with them at your table?
Let me know what you think makes a Inventor fun to play and let me know which class you think I should cover next.
By the way, if you want to check out some information on the Remastered Inventor, I recommend checking out Wisdom Check's video here:

I'm trapped in an ice storm. My family is doing well (& I hope you're staying warm as well), but this weather made me think of one of my favorite gaming memories - a mini game run during another ice storm!
This video offers a quick discussion of what an "Ice Storm" game is, and a few quick tips on how to run them!
1) Keep It Simple
2) Open Narrative
3) Weak Characters, Simple Challenges, Low Stakes
This video obviously doesn't include my normal editing, so let me know what you think! Also, please join in the conversation & share your questions, tips, & stories about your own "Ice Storm" Games!

Welcome to my annual New Year's Super Video Special! This year, I'm revisiting the video I originally did in 2022 & ranking every class in Pathfinder 2nd Edition. However, over the past three years, many, many things have changed in regards to this game!
The OGL Crisis happened - and Pathfinder 2e went through the Remaster process (causing several classes to be updated).
Loads of new classes (& new playtest classes) were released.
Starfinder 2nd Edition went into playtest as well.
Multiple third-party publishers took a series interest in Pathfinder 2nd Edition as well.
Things are VERY different, so the time has come to see just how much has changed! So, in this video, I will be ranking every Pathfinder 2nd Edition Class Option for the Remaster!
And I do mean EVERY class option.
Every published class for Pathfinder 2e.
Every playtest class for Pathfinder 2e.
Every playtest class for Starfinder 2e - because they're cross-compatible.
Every class archetype for Pathfinder 2e.
And three 3PP classes:
The Elemental Avatar & Eldamon Trainer (Roll for Combat - Battlezoo Eldamon)
Warlock (Improphet's Tome)
All told, I will be covering 64 different Class Options for Pathfinder 2nd Edition Remastered.
Since this is a massive undertaking, here are some time stamps to help you navigate the video:

Currently, my group is playing through the Starfinder 2e Playtest Adventure "A Cosmic Birthday," and in this video, I want to discuss my group's experience with the playtest & the adventure. With the Playtest period coming to a close soon, I wanted to get some of my early thoughts out, so in this video, I will be discussing Chapter 1 of the Playtest Adventure - what happened, what I liked, what I didn't like, & what I noticed about the state of the game so far.
If there is sufficient interest, I will be happy to revisit Chapters 2 & 3 in future videos, once my group finishes the adventure.
In this video, I will offer some advice for storytellers who wish to run the playtest adventure. However, please be aware that this video does contain major SPOILERS for Chapter 1 of the Playtest Adventure.
If you are a Player who has not completed this chapter of the adventure, I strongly advise you to wait to watch this video after your group has gotten through the first chapter.

Welcome back to my coverage of the book War of Immortals! Today, I'm going to be discussing one of the new Class Archetypes: The Warrior of Legend! This is a Class Archetype for the Fighter that allows you to play the "Doomed Hero," reminiscent of classical myths like Achilles.
This Archetype has seen some controversy since its publication, so in today's video, I will be taking a deep dive into this new set of character options. We'll explore what the Warrior of Legend offers (& requires), and we'll discuss how well the narrative & mechanics of this archetype stack up!
Ultimately, I'll give my opinion on how (and even if) this Class Archetype fits into Pathfinder 2e.
Here are some time stamps to help you navigate this video:

Welcome to the long overdue return of my Storytelling in Pathfinder 2e series, where I take a look at the tips, tricks, & advice that Paizo offers storytellers in Pathfinder 2nd Edition. Today, we're taking a look at the new Mythic Rules from War of Immortals from the perspective of the Game Master.
In Pathfinder 1st Edition, Mythic Rules were fun, but also notoriously unbalanced, leading many GMs to fear the arrival of Mythic options in Pathfinder 2nd Edition. On top of these concerns, War of Immortals is a predominantly "Player-Facing" product, meaning that very little space is dedicated specifically to storytellers.
What is a Pathfinder 2e GM to do with all of these new Mythic Rules & options? How can you effectively use the new Mythic Rules to enhance your games without destroying your planning process? Where should your focus be if you want to get the most out of these new options?
In this video, I will highlight the sections of War of Immortals that I believe are the most beneficial for Storytellers - and I will highlight many of the critical pieces of advice that Paizo offers 2e Storytellers! I will also explain how the content in War of Immortals connects to existing GM content in the GM Core Rulebook.

Welcome to a holiday special "What if...?" video where I try to answer the question: Which Iconic Character would be Paizo's "Final Girl" if they were to star in a Horror Movie?
For those of you who are unfamiliar, the "Final Girl" Trope is a reference to the fact that often, at the end of a Horror Movie, a single female protagonist remains to confront (& hopefully defeat) the evil entity that has been driving the action of the film.
There have been a lot of legendary leading ladies in horror movies over the years - and Paizo has some incredible women among its cast of Iconic characters. So, today, I drop those Iconics into the world of Horror movies & ask "who would be the Final Girl left standing?"
Please note: This video is not a ranking of how well I think a given Iconic Character is designed. (I think they're all pretty well done!) Rather, I'm analyzing them by the common tropes of the Final Girl in movies!

Recently, Paizo sent me a Review PDF of the newest book for Pathfinder 2nd Edition - War of Immortals (which is releasing next week at the end of October)! I want to say a huge thanks to Paizo for giving me this opportunity to review their new product! However, as always, all views expressed in one of my review videos are entirely my own. Paizo did not attempt to influence this review in any way.
In this video, I want to dive into what the book War of Immortals is all about - and talk about what you can expect if you pick this product up! War of Immortals covers a lot of ground: discussing the death of Gorum, the start of the eponymous War of Immortals, the event known as the Godsrain, & the narrative impacts these events have on the world of Golarion.
Mechanically, this book offers two new classes (the Animist & the Exemplar), several new Class Archetypes, and the addition of "mythic" rules to Pathfinder 2nd Edition!
This video will not cover every single element found in this book. Rather, I will "begin at the end," offer my big-picture thoughts on this product, & then move through the book highlighting some of the concepts & items that stood out to me when I was reading it.

October is here & that means that Spooky Season is upon us! For the next several weeks, I plan to release several Halloween themed videos in honor of the holiday. Today, we're starting with a discussion of a special type of item called "Blighted Boons."
Blighted Boons were introduced in the book Treasure Vault & they represent the classic narrative trope of "Power at a Price!" Character who choose to partake of these boons can gain very powerful benefits, but as time wears on, their bodies, minds, & souls pay a terrible price!
In this video, I'll discuss how Blighted Boons work, how they can be used narratively, what to consider when designing Blighted Boons, & finally, I'll discuss each of the four published Blighted Boons from Treasure Vault!
Here are some time stamps to help you navigate this video:
00:00 - Teaser
00:47 - Title Screen
01:31 - Introduction
04:47 - Blighted Boon Mechanics

Welcome back to my continuing coverage of the Starfinder 2e Playtest! Today, I wanted to take a look at spellcasting in Starfinder 2e. In Pathfinder 2e, four traditions of magic were introduced - and those traditions served as the basis for every spellcasting class' spell list.
This was a strong, positive change - and Starfinder 2e will be building on the same foundation. However, given the "Space Opera" setting of Starfinder 2e, there is a lot of room for creative takes on this spellcasting system.
So, in this video, I have picked twelve of my favorite spells from the Starfinder 2e Playtest (three from each of the traditions) & I'm going to talk about why I like them - and what I think they indicate for spell design in Starfinder 2e going forward.

Welcome to another review video - this time examining the latest book in the Lost Omens line for Pathfinder 2e: The Tian Xia Character Guide! This is a "player facing" product focusing very heavily on Ancestry & Class/Archetype options for PCs in a Tian Xia (or "Asian Storytelling Themed") game.
Honestly, I think this book (in concert with it's predecessor: Tian Xia World Guide) marks a significant overall quality upgrade in the Lost Omens product line, and beyond the scope of the content itself, I think this book is very notable for what it portends of the product line going forward!
Still, as a player facing product focusing on mechanical options, it's worth asking what this book actually brings to the table - and if there are any major omissions worth considering.
In this video, I offer my overall thoughts on the Tian Xia Character Guide, both its strengths & weaknesses, before going into a very quick overview of the contents inside.
Here are some time stamps to help you navigate the video:
00:00 - Teaser
00:41 - Title Screen
01:24 - Introduction
04:50 - Lost Omens Series Impact
07:47 - Recommendations & the YouTube Call to Action
09:00 - Big Picture Thoughts & Overview
11:09 - Introduction & New Backgrounds
12:42 - Magic & the Spirit World
13:39 - Tian Xia Zodiac & Peoples (Ancestry Options)
19:37 - Class & Archetype Options
24:31 - Closing Thoughts
Since this video is a "general overview," I don't have the opportunity to go in-depth on any of the content in this video. However, over on the channel @WisdomCheck , Jake has been doing some incredible deep dives into the various Archetypes & Ancestries offered in this book. If you want to dig a little deeper, you should definitely check his videos out!
Here's a link to some of his coverage of the Tian Xia Character Guide:

Today, I have a weird, off-the-wall build that was inspired mostly by my brain's inability to read. Back when Howl of the Wild was released, I repeatedly misread the name of the new Athamaru ancestry as the "Anathamaru" instead - a butchered mingling of the ancestry's actual name with the term "Anathema" from the Cleric & Champion classes.
This naturally led me to ask the question: What IS an Anathamaru? And, how do I build one?
In this video, I offer my build for an Athamaru Oracle who is on a mission to defy all of the deities of the Golarion campaign setting by actively stealing their divine power through acts of anathema!
And, along the way, I try to make this video somewhat topical & relevant by also discussing the Remastered Oracle class - including changes to its Mystery, Curse, & Spell Slot mechanics.
We'll be deep diving one of the new Oracle Mysteries - the "Bone" Mystery, as we endeavor to walk the line between life & death as we attempt to steal the power of the gods!

This week, I want to take a look at Jewel of the Indigo Isles, a Pirate-Themed Adventure Path published by Roll for Combat! In 2020, Roll for Combat hosted the revamped "RPG Superstar" Competition, and as part of that competition, they promised to create an adventure featuring some of the winning monsters. That adventure, ultimately, was a pirate-themed journey known as Jewel of the Indigo Isles.
This adventure uses Roll for Combat's "Indigo Isles" campaign setting, but can easily be dropped into other settings (in a suitably aquatic location), and is designed to take characters from 1st to 11th level.
Last year, I had the opportunity to run Act One of this adventure for the Pathfinder club I host at the high school where I work, & now that I've had the opportunity to run this adventure - I thought it would be fun to discuss how it played out.
In this video, I offer a quick overview of the set-up & story, necessary (& optional) products, & the strengths/weaknesses of the adventure, along with my suggestions for GMs that might want to run this adventure for themselves.
NOTE: This video does contain some SPOILERS! I have clearly labeled where some of the major spoilers begin, but if you are a player who might experience this adventure, I strongly recommend not watching anything beginning in the "Weaknesses" section of this video.
Here are some time stamps to help you navigate this video:
00:00 - Teaser
00:24 - Title Screen
01:08 - Introduction
03:03 - Some FYIs
06:36 - Resources: Needed & Optional
12:13 - Remaster Compatibility
13:17 - Story Set-Up & Outline
17:34 - SPOILERS: Weaknesses & Suggestions
27:25 - SPOILERS: Strengths & My Favorite Moments
37:04 - Closing Thoughts
If you want to check out this adventure for yourself, Roll for Combat offers a Free PDF that covers Chapter One of this adventure that you can check out before making a purchase decision. I strongly recommend viewing this pdf before making any purchase decisions.

Welcome to the first episode in a new series I'm going to be experimenting with called "Creature Feature," where we examine some of the unique & exciting creatures that Paizo has included in Pathfinder 2nd Edition!
In this series, we will highlight a particular creature, discuss it's lore & story potential, take a look at some of its key abilities, and then discuss what to do the moment one of your players looks & says, "I Want One!"
For the first video, we will be taking a look at the Thruneosaurus Rex from Howl of the Wild. This creature answers the question: What happens when you give Diabolists access to dinosaur eggs? Answer: Very Bad Things!
Here are some time stamps to help you navigate this video:
00:00 - Teaser
00:19 - Title Screen
01:02 - Introduction
04:52 - Creature Lore & Story Potential
07:35 - Traits & Abilities
11:36 - "I Want One!" (PC Options)
17:24 - Closing Thoughts
For the first few videos in this series, I will be focusing on creatures in the recent book Howl of the Wild, but if this series proves popular, I hope to expand my coverage to other fun creatures across the multitude of products that Paizo creates!
Once Archives of Nethys updates to include Howl of the Wild, I will post a link to the Thruneosaurus Rex below:

Welcome to the first video in a new series I hope to slowly fill out in the coming months - a deep dive into Spellcasting in Pathfinder 2nd Edition! I am a huge fan of spell casters in any TTRPG, and despite some online debates about spell casting in Pathfinder 2nd Edition, I find there is a lot to love about Paizo's approach to this classic fantasy trope!
Still, I also know that a lot of people feel overwhelmed by Spellcasting rules & the overwhelming amount of options they present. So, in this series, I want to dive into the ins & outs of spellcasting in Pathfinder 2nd Edition!
In this video, I want to take a look at the "Basic Spellcasting Rules" found in the Player Core's Spellcasting chapter! These six pages cover about 90% of what you need to know to be able to function effectively as a spell caster in this game, and grasping these basic rules will carry you an incredible distance.
Here are some time stamps to help you navigate this video:
00:00 - Teaser
00:17 - Title Screen
01:01 - Introduction
04:37 - Today's Topics: The "Basics"
08:37 - What is Spellcasting? (Spell Slots)
16:26 - Prepared vs. Spontaneous Casting
29:43 - Heightening Spells
38:30 - The "Almost" Spells: Cantrips, Focus Spells, & Innate Spells
51:57 - Casting Spells: Requirements & Costs
1:00:45 - Reading Spell Entries
1:11:49 - Spell Attack, Spell DCs, & Defenses
1:19:31 - Four Essences & Four Traditions
1:27:58 - Misc. Topics
1:38:59 - Closing Thoughts
If you would like to check out these topics on Archives of Nethys, you can follow this link:
2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2221
In future videos, I will dive into other Spellcasting topics that are a little more complicated or involved, such as Traits, Spellshape Rules, Counteracting, Rituals, "Wave" Casting Classes, & Variant Spellcasting. If there are specific topics you'd like to see me cover as part of this series, please let me know!
I want these videos to be a resource to anyone trying to learn more about playing a Spellcaster in Pathfinder 2nd Edition.

Today, I have a cross-over project with the Goat King from @GoatKingDice where we are going to be taking a look at the new Ancestries from Howl of the Wild. This is a two-part video series. In this video, we will be discussing the Awakened Animal, Athamaru, & Centaur Ancestries.
Then, in Part Two (over on the Goat King's channel), we will finish up the conversation with the Merfolk, Surki, & Minotaur!
We will talk about the Lore, Mechanics, Heritages, & a few choice Ancestry Feats for each of the Ancestries - and very badly mispronounce things along the way! Here are some time stamps to help you navigate the video:

On today's episode, we're going to be discussing a set of optional rules from Secrets of Magic for running High Magic (or, more properly, "Pervasive Magic") Campaigns in Pathfinder 2nd Edition!
High Magic Campaigns come with a very distinct flavor, but the actual process of modifying Pathfinder 2e to fit this style of play is actually surprisingly simple! In this video, we will discuss the advice offered in Secrets of Magic (including what you need to know to use this with the Pathfinder 2e Remaster), and walk through the steps that Players & Storytellers will need to follow to run a Pervasive Magic Campaign at their Pathfinder 2e table.
Here are some time stamps to help you navigate the video:
00:00 - Teaser
00:51 - Title Screen
01:34 - Introduction
04:41 - Does Pervasive Magic work with the Remaster?
06:50 - Step #1: Make EVERYTHING Magical... via Traits!
09:48 - Step #2: Creating Pervasive Magic PCs
13:50 - Pervasive Magic Backgrounds & "Class" Feats
18:22 - Step #3: Modifying Creatures
22:07 - Step #4: Adding Magic to your Locations
31:40 - Golarion Setting Options
33:19 - Closing Thoughts

Welcome to the third video in a renewed series for my channel:
Storytelling in Pathfinder 2e... Remastered!
In this series, we will be exploring the content, advice, mechanics, options, & inspiration found in the GM Core for the Pathfinder 2e Remaster.
The goal is simple, but important: to help Storytellers of all skill levels improve their craft (in general) and their skill with Pathfinder 2e as a game (in specific). I believe that a lot of people have fantastic stories to tell - they just need some support to help tell them.
That's what I want this series to be!
Also, please note: this is a remake of a previous series on this channel! I was working through the original Gamemastery Guide when the Remaster was announced, and I made the executive decision to end that series, & reproduce that content later, once I could make it compatible with the Remastered books!
In this video, I want to discuss a set of tools for Pathfinder 2e that I genuinely LOVE - the Improvising DCs Rules (& tables)! Improvising Mechanical rulings is one of the most challenging parts of Storytelling, but Paizo has provided some incredibly useful guidance & amazingly accessible tools for this specific task!
Seriously, these tools for Pathfinder 2e are one of the major reasons I have trouble returning to other TTRPGs as a Storyteller! They function so well!
In this video, I discuss these rules, the Improvising DC tables, & a fifth "bonus option" for Storytellers to take advantage of as well! I also do a "compare & contrast" section, showing how improvising DCs using these tables or the optional fifth approach all produce similar numbers!
Here are some time stamps if you want to jump around this video:
00:00 - Teaser
02:03 - Title Screen
02:46 - Introduction
05:15 - GM Core: Improvising DCs Guidance
06:46 - Today's Topics (& What's Not Included)
09:21 - Simple DCs vs. DCs by Level
12:31 - Simple DCs Table
15:55 - DCs by Level Table
18:08 - Spell Rank DCs Table
20:57 - DC Adjustments Table
25:05 - The "Modifier +10" Rule
26:56 - Comparing Techniques
28:53 - Closing Thoughts
As always, I invite you to be a part of the conversation! Let me know if you have any advice, observations, or questions about Improvising DCs in Pathfinder 2e! I love to hear what you all have to say!
When Archives of Nethys updates to the Remastered Rules, I will come back & link the appropriate material here in the description:
2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2627
