Zenyx 2025-07-19 | ADICAT is a Caretaker fan project depicting a rapidly progressive case of vascular dementia. The album pays homage to All Pleasantries Must Conclude, an earlier fan work by May Records. It portrayed a story influenced by her great-grandfather, who had passed away of the same condition.

My aim was to provide a respectful tribute to May's great-grandfather, as well as her brief presence in this community, in the form of an overhaul and expansion upon the project's sound and concepts, still keeping its iconic harsh feel.

Zenyx 2025-05-24 | A personal retake of The Grand Decline's ninth visit. So yeah I've been at this for a while. RE:RUN was one of those games I really liked, and I learned some of the basic movement techniques myself and began speedrunning it casually. That was all over the course of the long four years since it came out.

Then, just four days ago, I picked it up again out of boredom. And I decided "why not, let's throw together a segmented speedrun of the best times I could get on each level."
Then my friend, RubyPiec, told me that this low effort segmented run would be around 25th place on the glitchless leaderboard (if it were a full run).
I don't think I need to add that I was very intrigued.

So I looked at a few of the top runs, found out what sorts of techniques they used, and tested which skips I could easily do.
I understood that there was this really difficult movement technique called sjs which allowed for absolutely bonkers skips, but I wasn't really about to learn that.
Instead I just stuck to my slide-jumps and saw what I could and couldn't do.

And I surprised myself.

Some thoughts on the run itself:
- Levels 0, 1, and 2 formed this inescapable limbo of failure for me. I rarely got past them during my runs. It didn't really help that they're all just fast versions of the intended route. The inconsistencies and various oof-spots in the geometry of level 2 were especially infuriating.
- Levels 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 were the ones that utilized a lot of skips and were a lot more fun to go through.
- Level 4 had the hardest skip in this run. It required a lot of precision to clear the intended double jump near the end, so much that the first skip to get around the wall seemed completely free, despite being challenging for me at first. It was also where I lost the most time in this run, about 7 seconds.
- Level 6 was also a bit of a chokepoint, because the archers would often shoot directly into me as I was jumping towards them.
- I also lost about 2 seconds combined near the end of the run by choking the end trigger and the wall-vault.

I could probably improve this run, but it got into the top 10, so I very honestly don't care to.
And no, I'm not actually even that good at this game. I'm moderately skilled but the only real reason I was able to get into the top 10 was because the game is so uncontested on speedrun.com. The top 10 is around the point that runs get a LOT faster as people begin to learn sjs, and it should say a lot that this top tier tech isn't even utilized by me, and yet I got into the top 10.
Not about my skill, but about the lack of real competition (until the runs directly above me, of course).

Building a Technoblade Statue in Bed Wars for his Birthday

HUGE THANKS to @KubeVR for the fantastic thumbnail that they made for this. I didn't even ask they just randomly hit me up with this masterpiece lmao, what a chad.

This level went through 3 itterations over the years. The initial version, a rebalanced version, and this final version which is 2.2 physics-compatible and also features some more rebalanced bits.
I had to verify all three versions of the level, and that was quite exhausting, so I'm definitely done with the level for good now. I'm confident that I'm leaving it in a playable and highly fun state.

Yes, I know the level doesn't look that hard, but in no world is it a Hard Demon. I definitely overshot the mark with calling it an Extreme, but its length and the fact that some parts are really hard does make it Insane demon, without question.

I don't really have anything else to say :p

I made this on a whim and I heavily doubt I'll upload any more Slow + Reverb "content". This one just sounded REALLY good so I decided to share it.
Should also be a pretty high quality venture into the 'genre' since it's basically my hobby.

Audio uses Purgatori at -6 semitones with additional use of EQ, CHOWTapeModel, Fruity Delay 3, ValhallaSupermassive, and Maximus.

I started working on this level way back when @GDColon made his video about why it sucks. I simply always liked it and thought it had some neat ideas - and while I did retrospectively realize that it was quite poorly executed in the end, I still liked the level.
So, I made the decision to start working on this. For whatever reason, I then started decorating it. I had little faith that I would actually complete the process, since I rarely ever do, but somehow, some way, after many long breaks, I managed to finish this - and even before 2.2 released and invalidated all of my efforts.

I am super happy with the end product, and even if I don't manage to get it rated, I will be extremely proud that this will go down as my last 2.1 level.

Dedicated to every person who has ever loved or hated Generation Retro, but first and foremost, I dedicate this level to ArathhSA, as a sort of apology for all of the unfair hate he has gotten over the years.

"Minecraft, but it's vCJD" is a mostly solo remake of vCJD by The Patients, with a twist being the usage of exclusively Minecraft-related music and samples.

I started working on this remake over 9 months ago at this point - and the person who I was back then, the person who started it, simply wasn't capable of finishing it properly. Since then, I've changed. Life threw challenges at me, and I've grown thanks to them. Over a mere 2 months ago, I came back to this project, now a changed man. I'd finally become the person who had the experience, the insight, and the knowledge to finish this project. To carry it out to its fullest, and to present it in its best possible state.

In many ways, I kept coming back to all the work i'd done back then. Altering it. Improving upon it. To the point that only a very small handful of tracks, covers, and even track names remain in the state that they were originally created in. Many even received multiple complete remakes.

Is this album better than vCJD? No. Of course not. Is the premise of it even worthy of being realized? That is definitely questionable. But despite all of that, this is without a single doubt my most important project to date. To me at least.
Thank you everyone for the support and for showing interest in this album for the entire duration of its production.

I simply made this video because the track intrigued me imidiately upon looking at its entry in the sample list - and because it's actually really easy to hear what plays when.
I hope this video has helped show some people what makes this track so interesting.

Also no, the tracks that appear at low opacity do not play silently in the background. Only the most visible ones are ever playing.

I actually broke many conventions for a typical sample guide layout, because, well, so does WAE break the conventions of what a typical post-awareness track is. And also because this specific track just looks much cleaner this way.

A: Yes. I made a mistake. Dozens of comments have already made me aware of this.

Q: "Wait where's Cycles/ToE/Electrodynamix/Deadlocked/Fingerdash?"
A: I never said I was going through every level. The levels mentioned above just had coins that were good enough for me or ones that I didn't know how to improve.

Q: "What's up with the third coin of xStep? Isn't it just the regular route?"
A: I understand that this is confusing; the level shown for xStep's coins is actually a full-scale revamp of the level which teaches the blue pads and orbs better. The normal path has been repurposed into a coin path, and a different path has been made the intended one (note the yellow jump pad which leads to it and also makes the coin considerably harder to collect)
This is also subsequently the only one of these that you can play for yourself, here's an ID to the complete xStep revamp: 88425802

Q: "Where's the 2nd coin of Clubstep?"
A: It's over the blue jump pad that brings you back onto the main path. It's there, just hard to see because it's off-screen.
