Quince Seeds are more commonly found as the main ingredient in Edwardian and Victorian recipes.Flax Seeds recipes may well have been copied from people using it to look after C4 curls and can be used by Black women and people caring for Natural hair with both home made and commercial Flax Seed lotions and gels. I recorded the first bit of my journey just for fun but did not want to leave a camera running once the roads get busy. Autumn harvest and Hedgerow Ketchup Constance MacKenzie 2022-01-09 | Let us look back to this golden weekend in September.My Hedgerow ketchup was made with 1 Lb of Blackberries, Cherry Plums, Apples and Damsons1/2 Lb of of Sloes, Elderberriesplus a hand full Hawthorne and Rosehips for good measure 2 and 1/2 pints of Vinegar (cider, malt or wine)2 pints of water Cinnamon bark, cloves, black pepper corns and juniper berries1 Lb and 13oz (what a silly quantity) of brown sugarKetchup is traditionally a condiment with a sweet and tangy flavour, The historical recipes where often a way of preserving and flavouring mushrooms, walnuts and other fruit and vegetables with spices. I really don't like tomato ketchup, its the quickest way to ruin a good meal in my opinion. But I love this fruity and spicy affair. How to use old fashioned starch Constance MacKenzie 2020-04-03 | And here I document in a fairly haphazard sort of way how I prepare/cook up laundry starch to use on Collars, Ruffs, Partlets and Petticoats, in my kitchen in a relatively safe manner.I am very aware that one hour seems a ridiculous length for such activities so if you make it all the way through please leave a comment you probably deserve a medal. Within this video I am a little vague about quantity as it’s a trial and error (and I have had a fair few errors over the years) process. But if you are going to try this at home the basic quantity is for every 1oz of starch you need 2 oz of water. The final quantity I made in this video was 3 oz of starch and at least 6-8 oz of water maybe more to get the right consistency. Have fun and make a mess.
